Just went here for the first time a few days ago the food was delicious and made to order, if you haven't been and you're on the fence about it definitely give them a try, the woman working the register was very nice and helpful to the men in front of me who were having some minor trouble deciding on what to get. The atmosphere was very relaxed, and friendly. If you're on a time crunch I'd suggest ordering ahead about 10 minutes just so you can get in and get out. We wanted to try something different after church and I had a hankering for a gyro, so we tried this out, and were pleasantly surprised. Unassumingly nestled in a strip mall off of 41st, this little restaurant surprised us with its freshness and flavors. Of particular note is their meat is Hamal certified, ethically killed and butchered making it acceptable for all Muslims to eat. It was evident in the gyro meat because it was juicy and tender with a wonderful seasoned flavor. Momma had the plate which was meat over rice and a choice of sides (hummus, tabouli, and grilled veggies) and I had the gyro platter with fries and a drink. The fries are hand cut in house, peppered but not over seasoned. They were delicious. We had a great visit with the owner and learned about everything from Hamal, his cooking to kids at TU. I have been on a gyro kick. I was super excited to try this place when I saw the google and yelp reviews... FOOD: - ordered gyro plate to go, approx $15 - the lettuce had some brown spots and I was very surprised Greek salad wasn't offered as a side instead it was just plain ole shredded lettuce - the tabouli kind of scares me because it's supposed to look nice and vibrant green...instead it was solely dark green with tomatoes (the flavor is there and very pronounced which makes me think it's put in the fridge for days instead of it freshly made each morning) - tzatziki tastes as usual - it stinks that some of the online menus state "5" toppings but the sauce itself counts as one topping... - for the plate, you can pick between white or brown rice. I picked white rice and 1/4 of it still tasted raw (as if the rice kernel wasn't fully cooked through) - I'm grateful he provided utensils wrapped within plastic (strange how only a fork is provided with a napkin and a salt/pepper packets) because there are open utensils laid out next to the soda machine - gyro was dry but I appreciate the long pieces given (vs the pictures I saw online) SERVICE: - nicest man with a fantastic attitude and very thoughtful - was not afraid to explain everything and anything to you - does NOT take Apple Pay (he states the whole system needs to be changed for a couple of thousand bucks...) - his ethnicity definitely matches the food offered; hence, you know it's authentic AMBIENCE: - black booths - your typical diner vibe LOCATION / PARKING: - located in the Reasor's plaza - may be hard to find... it's behind or next to the Chipotle building - "Injury Care" is what's closest to the street so if you see this, Tikka Kabab is its neighbor - plentiful free parking - parking lot is fairly always empty - a very treeless and botanyless property Onto my next gyro pit stop... read more

A gem in East Tulsa, with excellent Mediterranean food and even better service. The gyro plate is delicious. The meat is flavorful and tender, and I like that you can pick four sides to have with your protein. I like to add hummus, tzatziki, tabbouleh, and corn, but there's plenty more to choose from. I only wish they also had toum/garlic sauce. Plenty of other options exist to turn your meal into a burrito, a pita, tacos, or even a quesadilla, which is fun if you want to change up your order. I noticed a steady stream of customers during the lunch hour when I dined in last time, and the presentation of the food is nice when you eat there. Dining area is large and overall clean. There's tons of parking outside. Most of all, the owner is one of the friendliest people I've ever met. He really appreciates his customers and always seems to remember me and my boyfriend. Tikka Kabob leaves much to be desired. Despite requesting specific spice levels, the flavors were underwhelming on both visits, with inconsistency in heat levels between dishes. Portions were disappointingly small, leaving us feeling unsatisfied. We even ended up going to a taco spot after our first visit and getting Ming a couple street tacos to satisfy our empty stomachs, and my husband is a very lite eater. When he asked for extra rice, they wanted to charge him $4-5, which is insane. My initial disappointment wasn't alleviated upon a return visit, as the food continued to lack flavor and portion sizes remained inadequate. We had lunch here and it was fabulous. The humus was the best I have ever tasted. My husband had a traditional gyro and it was fantastic. The owner was friendly and answered all our questions. We stopped here right after flying into Tulsa, and it was a great meal. The owner was working and explained the care he puts into making the different dishes. We ordered the falafel plates: one Mexican style, the other Mediterranean style. The falafel is the same regardless, but the sides were different. What a disappointment!!! To start, this is a one man show, so he takes the orders, then makes the food then is the waiter, etc. Two of us came in and placed our order and just as we were done with giving the order another group walked in. So, he first took their order, which is Ok. But then he proceeded to give the second group their food one at a time before us! We complained and he said we should just be patient. Then he brought out our samosas and they were very dark brown clearly over fried and charred at the edges. I told him we couldn't accept them and he said that is how he makes them, there is nothing wrong with them. Well, I saw the fried fish the other group got and I'm glad we didn't order that because it was equally burned, as was the falafel we ended up getting. So he over fries things and his oil is probably old and full of cancer causing crap which burning it produces. The falafels had a bad bitter which proves they were done in bad oil. Aside from that, what he calls hummus is nothing like any hummus you would see anywhere else. It is some kind of red/brown creamy sauce not simple chickpeas w tahini (and I am over 60 and must have had 1000s of different hummus in my life, so know what I am talking about.) For the life of me I can't understand how others have given this place a good rating - there are at least 10 other places similar to this in Tulsa - try one of them instead! read more

The gentleman was extremely nice, but the sides were good, I had the beef, this was slightly tough and therefore, I would shed I could have given more stars. My wife also didn't give her full 4 or 5 stars. Flavorful Mediterranean! Their website describes their menu as Mediterranean/ Mexican Fusion. I think Mexican Fusion is a bit of a stretch. They have Picante (pico de gallo) and black beans. That is the extent of the "Mexican Fusion." Maybe they can put your Gyro meat in a tortilla wrap (not sure). But, that's it, period! What they do have is very good Mediterranean food. This is a small one man operation (Kevin the owner). Kevin is a super friendly guy whom likes to visit with his customers. He will gladly tell you about his Mediterranean food offerings and help you decide on a meal if you are unfamiliar with some of the dishes. You can quickly tell that he has pride and ownership in his restaurant. The deli is an order at the counter, and pick up the food at the counter. The menu is limited, but what they do have is very good! The only item I was not familiar with was the Raita. I had to try it! Spicy Good! We had the Gyro with fries and the Chicken Kabab Plate with a side of Falafels. The Gyro was good as were the perfectly cooked fries that came with it. It was a big Gyro and pile of fries. You can load your Chicken Kabab plate with a selection of 5 items; beans or rice and 4 other items. This is where it gets a little confusing. Anyway, I went with Tabbouleh, Tzatziki Sauce, Hummus and Raita. The dips were served up a little different than I am used to. They were spread on the rice and then two large chicken kababs were placed on top. You can get the sauces on the side if you ask. There was nothing bland on this plate. The chicken kabab is ground chicken blended with onions and spices; then grilled. Fantastic flavors! The dips too were loaded with spice and magnificent flavor. The Falafels were extraordinary. Coarsely ground garbanzo beans blended with generous amounts of spice and fried to a flawless crunchy texture! The Chicken Kabab, the sauces (especially the Raita) and the Falafels are recommended. It all leaves an appetizing garlicky, Mediterranean spice taste in your mouth at the end of the meal! read more
