Today found me in Broken Arrow with about an hour to kill, so Schwarma Shack got a visit. Food was outstanding and the service was great. Not having been there before, I opted for the Chicken Schwarma platter and a cabbage roll on the side. The platter had the chicken and rice, a generous serving of tabouli and hummus with 4 pieces of pita. The schwarma was really well done. Plenty of flavor, gently spiced and cooked well, with the meat still having a good amount of moisture. There's such a fine margin with breast meat. The rice was equally well executed, being a dark yellow in color and boasting a gently spiced flavor. The tabouli was tangy, fresh and hit the spot. Although I prefer tabouli with more wheat in it, this was outstanding. The hummus was pretty much smooth, tasty creamy heaven, hitting every right note it needed to. The cabbage roll was just fantastic. Plenty big, amply stuffed and not smothered in ketchupy tomato sauce like some tend to be. The meat was delicately seasoned and very savory. The cabbage well cooked and tender, despite which the roll held together. The hostess/server was delightful and helped me make up my mind on selections, suggesting I try the falafel. On any given day, I like a good falafel, but today the carnivore in me won out. I did see after the fact that they have kibbeh and kafta, so that's for the next trip. Altogether, with tag, title and tax, it was just over $23, which was a tad steep for lunch, but thats on me because I got the extra cabbage roll. All things considered, great place, nice people and outstanding food. Shame I had to go to Busted Arrow to get it.

I told the owner that I was eating low carb and that I loved tabouli and beef. He said he would put something together for me. HE NAILED IT !!! Food was very tasty and atmosphere was pleasant. Owner and his helper were both first rate. I highly recomment.

Loved the tabouli and the hummus. Best I've ever had. Chicken was a little try. I will do the beef next time. Meal was pricey but so is inflation. I will be back.

With such high aggregate reviews on Yelp, I find it even more difficult to join in the hype of Shawarma Shack. I got the chicken tawook kabob platter to go. The platter came with rice, pita bread, hummus, and tabbouleh. The chicken kabobs didn't even look like kabobs. They looked like cut up pieces of grilled marinated chicken and tasted like chicken with over seasoning. The rice was not the typical Basmati rice usually seen at Mediterranean restaurants. It was really wet, almost like rice at Mexican restaurants. Hummus and pita bread were not great, although this could be to go. I liked the tabbouleh. I wish I could like Shawarma Shack especially when I love Mediterranean food. Unfortunately, I could not get on the hype train of this one. I am getting on a different train, going one way, as far away from Shawarma Shack as possible, AND NEVER COMING BACK.

Decided to try this today and I'm surprised I haven't heard of it before. I should add they make their grape leaves from scratch so I will be ordering those next time only place here that makes them homemade!! I want to save myself a full days worth of cooking and I feel this place will be just as good as what I make at home. My husband isn't a fan of tabouli but he ate 95% of my salad and the beef shawarma was fantastic I love how they add tahini to the wrap it adds such a nutty flavor it compliments the wrap which is just packed with flavor. We ate the pudding first (Lebanese nights) it's a delicious pudding and they give you the pistachio and rose water on the side so you can add how much you want which is brilliant because I'm not a rose syrup fan but I learned today my husband is lol. This place needs to be more well known because it's delicious!!!! We will definitely be back this has replaced any middle eastern restaurant for me! I just wish they had Turkish coffee as we were leaving the aromas of cardamon or cinnamon or maybe both was divine!

Three years later, I'm still coming here! Even though they've moved to their location which is further from my home. When I bring people here, they usually like it.

Chicken Shawarma Wrap combo

I would say this is very average Arabic food. I tried the chicken shawarma combo, and for Oklahoma, it was pretty decent. The chicken was a little dry, and obviously they don't have a skewer, so it's probably pan cooked. The bread and garlic sauce were pretty good, and so were the fries and hummus. Service was very friendly but it took them a while to get the food ready, although I did get a free baklava for the long wait (nice gesture, not very nice baklava). There are plenty of seats inside and a clean bathroom, so overall it was a decent clean place to grab some food while my car was charging nearby!

Family owned restaurant - love to support local businesses! The owner, Sam, is from Lebanon and he's a joy to talk to. Decent prices for the quality of food you're getting - they had to raise them recently because of the cost of food, but they are still trying to offer the lowest price that they can. The baklava is homemade and not super sweet, which is the kind I like. On our last visit I had a falafel pita, my husband had some kind of shawarma (I don't remember which one), my dad and his wife had chicken shawarma, and my grandma had a gyro. My falafel pita was very taste with plenty of tzatziki sauce! Everyone left full and satisfied with their choices. Tasty hummus and everyone that got tabouli enjoyed it (I do not like tabouli so I can't give my opinion on it lol). Good option for the area when you want something different!

Above everything we noticed that they had great customer service! The food was delicious and they were quick to get it together for take out. The Beef Shawarma was so tasty and perfectly seasoned, the beef gyro was wonderful and at the last minute I added baba ghanoush and homemade pita bread. The flavors were out of this world! This is my new favorite restaurant. Can't wait to try the grape leaves dolma next time. My husband added a drink and fries fir $2.99 and said it was totally worth it, the fries were perfectly cooked with a little crunch on the outside abs tender inside.

Had high hopes for this place. Came in about an hour before closing and got an order to go. Everything seemed a bit old and dried out.

food - the restaurant features a large selection of options to complement its central menu item,…read morethe gyro. that said, because i was planning to go workout after eating, i'd ordered a light side option of a greek salad, which includes sliced tomatoes, feta cheese, and vinaigrette dressing. and while the gyro itself is a significant portion, especially with supreme toppings of lettuce, tomato, feta, and tzatziki, as i requested, the gyro and salad combo plate with a lemonade was not overly filling for a pre-workout meal, and all had a really good taste. i'm especially impressed with the gyro, which makes sense given the name of the restaurant, but was specifically in awe of the subtle crisp to the exterior of the meat, while maintaining a tender interior, all without a breading coat. service - the service was excellent, with the most notable aspect to me being the worker at the counter asking me if today was my first day eating at the restaurant. and while one might interpret such a question as suggestive of a recently opened restaurant or a restaurant that does not usually get guests other than its regulars, i'd taken the question as coming from a guy who works many hours at the restaurant and still makes a point to get to greet every guest as if she or he has the potential to become a regular there. ambiance - the seating at the restaurant is rather spacious and includes a balanced mix of tables and booths. further, one feature i found interesting was the art pieces, which appeared to me to be of the impressionist school, located on the right wall as you enter the restaurant, with one particular work of two musicians appearing to place respective instruments toward one another. and although i did not snap of a picture of the art, mostly because i'm not especially comfortable taking pictures of restaurant decor on a regular basis, i'd still encourage any potential guests of the restaurant to have a look at the art, and even reply here with an interpretation of the style of art if you have a similar or different idea.

They love to push jalapeños, so expect it when ordering! I've been going here for at least 20 years, and started taking my elderly mother-in-law a couple of years ago. She no longer drives so once we finish her errands we stop for lunch and she loves Jumbo's too. The silver-haired "boss man" will tell me, "Bring my sister back to see me again soon!" She once asked if they'd de-seed the jalapeños first when she was ordering, which confused the younger guy at the register for just a second, then they both laughed. Boss Man also got the whole crew to stop and sing Happy Birthday to her recently and she had the biggest smile the whole time. Wonderful family! Seems like they have a very dedicated clientele too. Can get a bit crazy during lunch rush so maybe go a bit early or late to avoid the crowd.
