Gyro Gyros Platter

I've had shawarma just about everywhere in North America-- LA, Detroit, NYC, and Montreal to name a few. And so I feel I can say this is some of the best shawarma plate I have ever had. So tender and flavorful with a delicious tzatziki. The tabbouleh was especially delicious. And although not pictured, I tried the cabbage wrap, a Lebanese specialty and quite liked it as well. I also want to call out how great the customer service is. The owner is very friendly and treated everyone with respect and managed the rush that came in with my group well. Mediterranean Cottage is a hidden gem in Tulsa, and one of my new all time favorite shawarma spots!

The food was absolutely delicious The gentleman who owns this restaurant is the kindest & sweetest man! He also gifted me an order that didn't get picked up Highly recommended! It's so good and a super sweet atmosphere!

Mediterranean Cottage is a one man ran, frugal, "half" hole in the wall diner. (That's right it is so small it is not even a full hole in the wall.) Mediterranean Cottage comes in 1st place for the best Mediterranean food in this shopping center. And yes, there is another Mediterranean restaurant in this shopping center. I have tried it. Avoid the other one that is a few doors down. Mediterranean Cottage is a basic, no frills, dining experience. Order at the counter, pay at the counter, pick your food up at the counter and buss your own table. All food served on/with disposable table ware. Limited drink options. An experience I can enjoy, if food is good. And it is! Enough ...the food. I had the Shesh Lek (combo platter) and my wife had the Tawook (advertised house specialty) platter. The Shesh Lek platter had a combination of all of the meats (Tawook, Shaworma, and Gyro). Both platters had the same sides plus a large serving of rice and pita for the hummus. Hummus good! Tabouli good! The meats were very good. The chicken was moist, tender with great flavor. The big "meat lover's sized serving" of gyro meat was pleasantly seasoned! All of the meat was topped with layer of toum. It added the perfect garlicy finish. It was a good meal! Good, but not making the cut for my top ten Mediterranean restaurants in Tulsa. HOWEVER It is definitely worth a try if you like Mediterranean food. Inessential information: I have used the word Mediterranean so many times in this review, I can now spell it without having to rely on spell checker!

Great authentic foods. Delicious! Service was performed with a smile and a kind voice. Owner/Chef great guy. Quaint little place

Falafel Pita Wrap

The food was so so delicious, we went there at close to 8pm, but the owner kindly offered us seats to eat in after the closing time. And he even gave us extra treats and drinks saying those were apology for taking time to serve, what a kind person!!! it was my first time trying the Mediterranean food but it was 10/10 including my experience at the restaurant. It seems like this restaurant is short-staffed, so if anyone is looking for a job, I highly recommend this place!!!! I'll definitely visit there again:)

I had the tawook chicken and a side of falafel to go. I couldn't believe how much flavor it had. I loved that the falafel had a lot of fresh herbs. The tawook chicken was very tasty and a great portion size. This was some of the best Mediterranean food I've ever had!

This is the best middle eastern food in tulsa!!! Omgoodness. We had the lamb and cabbage rolls. The portions were huge. The cabbage roll had a sweet savory flavor and a perfect combination of rice and meat.

Very nice people but the food is just okay. The restaurant is old and small and was a little hot but they keep it clean.

This man makes excellent food. From ingredients to the taste. It's so good. It's where I'm bringing my friends out of town when they come.

food - the restaurant features a large selection of options to complement its central menu item,…read morethe gyro. that said, because i was planning to go workout after eating, i'd ordered a light side option of a greek salad, which includes sliced tomatoes, feta cheese, and vinaigrette dressing. and while the gyro itself is a significant portion, especially with supreme toppings of lettuce, tomato, feta, and tzatziki, as i requested, the gyro and salad combo plate with a lemonade was not overly filling for a pre-workout meal, and all had a really good taste. i'm especially impressed with the gyro, which makes sense given the name of the restaurant, but was specifically in awe of the subtle crisp to the exterior of the meat, while maintaining a tender interior, all without a breading coat. service - the service was excellent, with the most notable aspect to me being the worker at the counter asking me if today was my first day eating at the restaurant. and while one might interpret such a question as suggestive of a recently opened restaurant or a restaurant that does not usually get guests other than its regulars, i'd taken the question as coming from a guy who works many hours at the restaurant and still makes a point to get to greet every guest as if she or he has the potential to become a regular there. ambiance - the seating at the restaurant is rather spacious and includes a balanced mix of tables and booths. further, one feature i found interesting was the art pieces, which appeared to me to be of the impressionist school, located on the right wall as you enter the restaurant, with one particular work of two musicians appearing to place respective instruments toward one another. and although i did not snap of a picture of the art, mostly because i'm not especially comfortable taking pictures of restaurant decor on a regular basis, i'd still encourage any potential guests of the restaurant to have a look at the art, and even reply here with an interpretation of the style of art if you have a similar or different idea.

I love this place mainly because of the family that runs it! Not only do they make great burgers…read moreand gyros, the experience is always entertaining as well. They love to push jalapeños, so expect it when ordering! I've been going here for at least 20 years, and started taking my elderly mother-in-law a couple of years ago. She no longer drives so once we finish her errands we stop for lunch and she loves Jumbo's too. The silver-haired "boss man" will tell me, "Bring my sister back to see me again soon!" She once asked if they'd de-seed the jalapeños first when she was ordering, which confused the younger guy at the register for just a second, then they both laughed. Boss Man also got the whole crew to stop and sing Happy Birthday to her recently and she had the biggest smile the whole time. Wonderful family! Seems like they have a very dedicated clientele too. Can get a bit crazy during lunch rush so maybe go a bit early or late to avoid the crowd.

The Chicago Burger is my go to. I don't know why they call it "Chicago, but it's delectable.
