Especially when they expect a tip at the end, they don't even check on you to make sure you're OK. Ambience in the atmosphere was OK. If you're super hungry at brunch get the burrito but don't pass up the German entrees. Personally never had a bad service and the patio is packed with seating and umbrellas. My wife and I had a desire for German cuisine and decided to try Fassler Hall. The large garage door was open on this warm February day with a welcoming breeze in the early afternoon. Upon entering there were a handful of customers at the bar and we sat at a table. I left to wash my hands in the restroom which had a very unpleasant urine smell throughout. Upon returning to the table, there were two menus which we perused and in my opinion lacked true authentic German food. Since the server was nonexistent and the restroom experience, we left to find somewhere else to dine. So my friend suggested getting the fries with the Gouda cheese and wow that was good but what we even better was dipping my bratwurst in it too... so take your pick on meat but doooooo get the cheese! This used to be my favorite bar in town, but the customer service has gone to sh*t. Increasingly rude every time I've been recently, with a I'll-get-to-you-when-I-get-to-you attitude. If you go before 5pm, expect to watch the employees talk to their friends for most of the time you're there. Reading the other reviews, customer service seems to be a consistent problem for this place. Their selection of their beers on tap used to be fantastic. Now there's too many trendy BS kinds. They have stepped up their food game, though. The schnitzel sandwich is no joke. It's awesome. The weekend brunch tacos are also fantastic. The McNellie's Group mafia continues its trend of owning every must-visit place in Tulsa, I see! I've gone here several times over the last few months. IMO, Fassler has three big selling points: 1) Sausages are made with meat from Prairie Creek Farms 2) PHENOMENAL bar staff 3) Outdoor patio with smoking options You can add on plenty of live music, other food that looks delicious but is not gluten-free so I haven't eaten it, more clubby nights with plenty of dancing and see-and-be-seen vibe, and a lot more. But mostly, I like to sit outside, with local sausage and a cigarette, and tip the bartenders super well cause they sure do deserve it. Best service I've had consistently in a long, long time. I don't need to say this for the staff because they must be painfully aware of it, but here's another PSA to McNellie's Group from yours truly: this place desperately needs more bathrooms, and staff needs their own dedicated bathrooms. On a busy night, a 30+ minute wait to pee is completely horrendous, and I have no clue how the staff can deal with it, let alone the visibly frustrated customers. Having worked in bars and restaurants where we shared the restrooms with customers, it's difficult enough to juggle your tasks / tables / tabs and find some time for a break, never mind trying to compete with 20 drunk girls ready to pee in the garbage cans outside the bathroom. Fasslers Hall is located downtown Tulsa in the Blue Dome District. The interior is a "rugged" open space with bench seating and a garage door storefront. There's a stage directly ahead, a bar to the right, and a side patio to the left. If you're looking for someone to greet you, you may want to keep walking. There's no hostess nor did anyone from the bar speak to us. We "assumed" it was open seating so we sat down and looked at the menu. I noticed a sign hanging at the bar indicated where to place your order - food and drinks. Before making our decision, my husband went to the restroom and said it was in dire need of cleaning. Maybe it was just us, but from the reviews, we anticipated a German- influenced restaurant with a friendlier vibe and broader menu; not to mention, clean. Came to Fassler Tulsa for a happy hour today. I should preface this entire review by saying this is one of the hottest days so far this year. It was 101F in downtown Tulsa. They have a great selections of spirits including bourbon, scotch, and several vodkas. The staff are super friendly and the food is always on point. I had an old fashioned for the first round and a blackberry lemonade with vodka for round two. The blackberry lemonade was amazing! The old fashioned was excellent considering this is basically a beer hall with bonus spirit options. The one thing I can't help but comment on was the HEAT. It was SO hot. This is an old building. With that comes charms and a cool old vibe. With that you also get little to no insulation, inadequate retrofit of A/C, and radiating heat from the rustic brick walls that you are surrounded by. I can highly recommend Fassler in Tulsa, but just come later in the evening or in the "not summer" season if you are going to do a HH. It's just too hot. read more

Fantastic German themed bar with great food options. I particularly enjoy their duck fries, pork rinds, bratwurst, and sausage sampler with excellent sauces to compliment. The hall is spacious with both indoor and outdoor seating. In addition to being a full bar they also serve a variety of German beers in 1/2 liter or 1 liter amounts which is plenty to enjoy. You've seen Beauty and The Beast right? Well, Fassler Hall reminds me of that scene when Gaston is at the bar. The only thing missing were men in tights breaking out in song while clanking their huge, frothy beer mugs (perhaps I'll be luckier next time?). I came to Fassler Hall on a Thursday night specifically to check out what all the hype was about. It honestly didn't sound like my kind of place (not a hunting trophy decoration fan at all--especially while I'm eating/drinking) but I'm always willing to give everything a fair try. The German flags and awesome Buffalo paintings on the wall ended up winning me over. I was by myself and while I'm used to that and usually perfectly fine with it, some places/bars aren't very friendly when it comes to that (making you feel awkward and shy all of a sudden because you're alone). As soon as I walked in though, my "table-for-one" fears went away. Fassler is a very homey place. It has such a warm and cozy feeling to it! Perhaps the dim lighting helps. Now, I've never been to Germany (someday!) but I hear that classic beer halls there usually feature huge rooms decked out with sturdy, rugged, wooden tables that almost span the entire floor-space. This is what you find here. I can definitely see the inspiration behind it and how the ample space is reminiscent of a German beer hall. The long, wooden tables have a wonderful effect on the atmosphere of the place. I actually ran into some friends there and it felt very natural to simply join their table. The set-up keeps social interaction flowing smoothly. It seemed like even if complete strangers sat at the same table as my friends and I, they would fit in comfortably as everyone enjoyed their brews. What I'm trying to convey here, is that shyness and awkwardness is alleviated by the set-up and chill-out climate. It definitely emphasizes the element of community in beer drinking culture. A must for beer-lovers to experience! That night, I wasn't particularly in a beer-mood though, yet they willingly served me wine instead (yay for giving customers what they want!). Their duck fries were all the rave so of course I had to try them. They were crisp and soft at the same time! I guess cooking them with duck fat does the trick. FYI, you order at the bar...
