You don't come here for the attitude, we have 4 adults plus 3 kids, 3, 5, 7 years old. The lady did not ask If we want anything to drink, she brought 4 cups of water. I asked if they have water in kid cup which I know they have. Then she brought 3 cup of water in plastic cup without a lid. Of course I had to ask for a lid. Then she gave us a poker face. I guess I am a trouble make because we have kids with us even the kids been told not to make any noise. There we go, 3 lids without straws. My friends and I ordered three of the classic fresh fruits desserts, and it was very refreshing and yummy. My favorite was A10, the Mango Juice w. Watermelon and rice ball. Pros: Their decor is very cute and cozy, which makes for a great place to sit down and have a nice chat with your friends. Cons: Their items more expensive compared to Kulu, a similar spot nearby. This is a table service place, which means you have to pay tips on top of your meal. I know that at the original one in Chinatown, you order over the counter and pay up front, without the need for tips. Table service is very unnecessary and uncommon for a casual dessert spot in this neighborhood, and it is just a way for them to milk your wallet. read more

First off, the decor here is very cozy and peaceful. Very nice environment to enjoy your dessert. Went in here on a late Friday night and the place was moderately packed but we were seated within a few minutes. The wait staff was very polite and recommended some suggestions for us. The service was beyond what you would expect for this neighborhood; here is how it went I had a conflict between combo A and combo B because I wanted the glutinous rice in my dessert which combo A had but at the same time I liked all the desserts in combo B. The wait staff came over and introduce herself as Ceci, and ask if I was ready to order, I told her my problem and ask if I can substitute glutinous rice into the dessert B combo. She politely informed me that it was not as the combos prices were lower and so the items are set. I told her I needed a few more minutes. After a while I still couldn't decide what to order when Ceci came over and told me that because it looked like I had difficulty ordering, she asked and got permission to make an exception for me. This customer service is unbelievable because although she informed me of the company policy, she went beyond and satisfied my demands, without me even asking for it. I had pretty high expectations of this place since I've been to their other stores in Chinatown and flushing. I expected quality desserts that was rich in mango favor. However this spot makes mango desserts that I don't taste that rich in mango. I got my personal favorite: the mango pomelo with mango ice cream. The most mango juice that it comes in tastes just slightly in mango even when it was rich in that yellow orange. The mango ice cream was the one that helped heighten the mango favor of the dish. Even the mangos weren't that fresh! I was very disappointed. The service this is good tho. I also love the design of the store other than the table that is awkwardly in the middle. We went late during a weekday which was good because there was no wait. We got seated immediately and water was served to us. Mango Mango's menu is big and had many choices. For a party of four, we ordered five desserts. Triple ice cream delight: vanilla, coconut and mango. (They ran out of green tea ice cream) this was your typical ice cream sundae, three scoops with some chocolate syrup, whipped cream and two chocolate cookie sticks. The mango ice cream tastes like mango Hi-Chew candy. The vanilla was basic, nothing special. The coconut ice cream has some residual durian ice cream on it from the scooper. We personally don't have a problem but it's a heads up. 3/5 stars Mango Mille crepe: the cake slice itself was very sponge like, nothing like Lady M's crepe cakes. The mango cream inside the cake didn't taste like anything. However, the mango pieces and mango sauce were sweet. We wouldn't order it again. 2.5/5 stars Special mango juice sago & pomelo w mango ice cream: it was bland mango juice with some hints of pomelo taste. The mango pieces weren't sweet. But it was refreshing. 3/5 Strawberry banana crepe w mango ice cream: This crepe wasn't particularly outstanding. It's basically bananas and strawberries with some chocolate syrup and whipped cream. 3.5/5 Durian crepe w vanilla ice cream: there were frozen pieces of durian inside my crepe. Came here with a bunch of friends on a Saturday night. It wasn't super crowded which was nice but unexpected, especially for an Asian dessert place near 8th Ave. The decor is cute and the place was clean! The staff were super nice. We arrived in two separate groups (8 people total) and informed them that there would be 8 of us. They seated us in a booth right away and told us that they would set up another area to accommodate our group. We didn't feel rushed or pressured to order even though we sat in the booth for a good 45 minutes just talking and waiting for our friends (but it wasn't that crowded anyways). From their paper menu, the store hours were till 2AM so we thought we had all the time in the world. That wasn't the case. This store closes at 1AM on a Saturday, just FYI. Felt bad that they waited around for us and only told us 5 minutes before they closed, but again we had no idea because they didn't appear to rush us until the last 5 minutes. Their dessert is pretty good. Unfortunately for me, I have fruit allergies and had to make a custom order from the menu. At first, the waitress came out and told me that the "chef" told her that he could not change it. What? Why? I just wanted to replace the fruits with a scoop of ice cream instead. So this went back and forth for a hot minute. The manager was nearby and told me not to worry about it but tried to explain that I wouldn't be getting a good deal. In other words, she told me in Chinese that it wouldn't be worth it. I told them I didn't mind and I got what I wanted. However, they DID change me for the scoop of ice cream as extra in the end. I really like Mango Mango's other locations in Chinatown and Flushing so I was looking forward to trying out the Sunset Park spot, despite the less than stellar reviews. After all, how bad can you screw up a dessert place? The decor is cute, there's upholstered seating and space for intimate conversation. Looks promising. When we entered, there were two waitresses, a cashier manning the register and a cook in the back, with three occupied tables. For dessert, we ordered the A20, fruit with herbal jelly, sago in coconut juice. We also had a waffle ice cream sandwich and a pot of mango tea. The fruit dessert came out right away. The fruit and herbal jelly were fine but the sago was still frozen! The tea had barely any flavor and tasted more like the watered down second steeping of the tea bag even after 15 minutes. How was the waffle ice cream sandwich? It took us 20 minutes after we ordered to find out. They'd forgotten our order. The staff did their best to ignore us, despite there being only two other tables to tend to, it was as though we'd fallen into a black hole. Until we requested the check. Then the space cadets were right on top of us. I really wanted to like this spot given how much I enjoy their other locations but the service here was too spotty and inconsistent for me to return. read more
