Who can say no to this deliciousness. Updating my review with a few photos this time. The 6 inch Chocolate Layer Cake is still my favorite indulgence. Their service is always efficient and friendly when I carry out. I'll have to come back and sit down one of these days and enjoy the back room.

We stopped into this cute and quaint place during a very frigid afternoon in January. We needed a boost and decided to order a piece of chocolate cake with hot tea. Delicious! Hit the spot. Love this place! Service was great. You find a table and order at the counter and they'll bring over your dessert.

Absolutely love chocolate room! They have the BEST chocolate cake and chocolate milkshake i've ever had. My absolute favorite. It's AMAZING! The chocolate cake is a whole lot of chocolate goodness. The cake is soft and moist. The icing is rich and thick and not overly sweet. The chocolate milkshake is thick and creamy and so rich in flavor. It's a nice place to sit inside for some dessert. They have a wide variety of options on their menu, but the chocolate cake and milkshake is a must!! :)

Cute French style cafe vibes with rich dark chocolate in many of their offerings. The chocolate chip cookie has crunchy enough structure as a soft cookie with brown butter. The chocolate layer cake is decently moist and has rich dark cocoa flavor. The whipped cream is a must and really complements the cake. The ganache layer is very yummy and tastes like a premium chocolate ice cream. The staff seemed very close to each other and were friendly to some local patrons. They were attentive and were quick to provide service.

Service was good. Quick and friendly. Great seating at the cafe to do work or relax. Unfortunately the cake was inedible. It was terrible, dry and hard. No moisture. Felt old. Chocolate taste was terrible. I had to spit it out. Very disappointed

Food and atmosphere were great but it was a little pricey. The service was quick and the employees were nice and welcoming.

On the hunt for the best hot cocoa in NY and was hoping this would do the trick. Got the dark chocolate hot chocolate and while it was fudgy and delicious (PMS gold!!), it lacked the creamy, frothiness of a great hot chocolate, even with their homemade whipped cream. In a similar class as Jacques Torres for the same reasons. Wouldn't recommend it but glad I tried it.

Great ambiance. Love the variety of chocolate items they have, from drinks to chocolates to gifts to pastries. Their hot chocolate hit the spot. It's a nice place to catch up with friends or go on a date.

My husband and I ate dessert here last week. It's one of our favorite spots for dessert. This place was a 10 minute walk from Bahnmigos which is where we had dinner. As soon as we entered, we were greeted and told that we can get a table and come back to order or order first and grab a table afterwards. We grabbed a table first and walked back to the counter and placed our order. We decided to split a dessert since we were still a bit full from dinner. This time we ordered the Flourless cake with raspberry coulis and a dollop of of whipped cream. It was creamy and delicious. My husband also ordered a cup of green tea which he said was so so. The green tea was very light and tasteless. I think they need to use better quality tea bags for the price. I think this place is best for their desserts, coffees and hot chocolate. Skip the tea. The ambiance is cozy.

Came here after brunch for some drinks during the rain, I was greeted with kindness. I wanted to order a cold brew but unfortunately there was none available at the time. I ended up getting a Peppermint tea to have in house. I also got lucky enough to sit in the window and hear the tales of joy and nourishment people get when coming here. I ended up taking away a 6 pack of chocolates for $24 +tax Matcha, Chai, Hazelnut and did I mention they have VEGAN CHOCOLATE!! (I got the salted pistachio). I didn't know what to do with my dishes at my table, tried looking for a dish bin to pick up after myself but couldn't locate one. Not sure if it was the owner who had waited on me but she was so nice and the staff seemed so fun and laid back. My kind of crowd and definitely worth a stop if you're in Brooklyn!

Chocolate Chip Almond Cake - Slice -

The first time I visited The Chocolate Room was about 4 years ago. My friend and I tried their famous chocolate chip almond cake and fell in love!! We made the trek down to Brooklyn from Uptown and decided to go all out so we ordered our slices with a scoop of ice cream on the side! I briefly moved out of state and the cake left such a memorable impression. I'm finally back in the area 4 years later and I HAD to visit The Chocolate Room to see if the cake was just as good as I remembered. Well, it was delicious and well worth the wait!! The texture of the cake is dense but it's also light on the tongue and the cake itself is so moist and flavorful. They serve it warmed up which really elevates everything. I skipped the ice cream this time because the prices went up a considerable amount. The presentation wasn't as picturesque or impressive as the first time I visited (they garnished the plate with chopped almonds and other cute toppings with more caramel sauce). The cake was good but it also didn't blow me away like the first time. Overall I was happy with my decision to go back but I won't be dreaming about this cake like I did the first time haha

I was sneaking out of the rain when I stumbled upon this place and it turned out to be exactly what I needed. From rainy and dark to a cute Parisian style cafe, filled with the welcoming aroma of chocolate and espresso; just tell me I fell into heaven. The chocolate cake was stacked, moist, and decadent! Everything you'd want from this order. Additionally, the hot chocolate was rich, smooth, and buttery (if that makes sense) You're not only greeted with smells, but the warm smiles of chocolate baristas where you order first and they bring it to you based on a number.

Thank you, Moose. I came in here, and the place was absolutely buzzing, with groups of people enjoying their late night desserts- a testament to how much we needed this spot to just open and thrive and exist. I don't personally like cream Kenafa so I haven't really tried anything off their menu yet, but the Dubai chocolate crêpe is really calling out my name, and I am just going to bite the bullet and try it one of these days. I did go in to sample their Dubai chocolate. As a chocoholic, I am on a low-key search for the best Dubai chocolate bar in the city. This bar did not disappoint. The filling to chocolate ratio was perfect. However, I do feel that there is an over balance of crispy kanafa in the filling. I think it could use more pistachio cream and be a little on the runnier side. Can't wait to come back and try that crêpe. Until I am able to make that trip back, do stop in and enjoy a sweet treat in this cute little dessert shop. It's also Palestinian owned so you know you are supporting the right people and the right cause while satisfying that sweet tooth craving. What more could a customer ask for?

While placing my order, I was briefly distracted by a phone call and accidentally said "white chocolate" instead of "milk chocolate." As soon as I realized the mistake--and knowing I'm allergic to white chocolate--I politely asked the sales associate if she could make it milk chocolate instead. I hadn't touched the cup, and it wasn't even handed to me yet. She looked at me as if I was asking for something unreasonable and told me I would have to pay for a whole new cup because it was "company policy." I asked to speak with a manager, hoping for some understanding, but what I got was a shockingly rude woman who immediately began raising her voice at me. She bluntly repeated that she would not make a new cup, even though I never picked up the original one and couldn't drink it due to my allergy. The unprofessionalism and lack of basic customer service were unbelievable. I was so frustrated and disappointed that I walked out and left the drink behind without receiving a refund or even an apology. I will never be returning to this Prince Soho location.
