Laza Cafe is the place to be for intricate and elaborate desserts. I haven't been here since the name rebrand, but their location on Steinway is always popping, and I had to see for myself what the fuss is about with this joint right in the heart of Bay Ridge Brooklyn. Firstly the rebrand has been phenomenal, I love the care that has obviously gone in to the packaging, transportation and delivery of my order. It really felt like it was delivered straight from the shop with no problems. The lotusella crepe was every biscoff lover's dream come true. The pairing with chocolate and banana and strawberry is a classic hit and I love that they didn't skimp on the chocolate or biscoff here. The layers of crepe were appropriate thickness and not too dense. I hate when they crepe is too thick and feels like you're getting a mouthful of dough. Not with this bad boy. I like the dusting of lotus crumbs and they actually don't go soggy which is nice. I can't wait to try more things of their menu. A true neighborhood gem!! read more

This is for delivery. Seriously craving crêpes and read terrific things about this place so I thought I'd give it a go. I believe they also go by the name Laza Dessert Cafe. We ordered one strawberry and one strawberry banana crêpe. They were filled with strawberries and bananas, and the outside was drizzled with glorious Nutella, which is a hazelnut chocolate sauce . The texture of the crêpes were absolutely perfect and that was the part I was most craving. I also loved the Nutella part. The banana and strawberry not so much as to me that didn't really have much of a taste, but maybe that was because the rest of it was super flavorful and over powered the fruit. All good and definitely satisfied my crêpe craving, but next time I would stop by to enjoy their desserts in person. The Kunafa looks particularly wonderful and has definitely peaked my curiosity. read more

I been to this place a couple of times. The service is always nice but not always fast. On average I usually have to wait 15-20 minutes. I usually order the strawberry matcha latte and their iced coffee, both are pretty good. I also tried different version of the kanufa and I loved it every time. I love how soft and warm the cream is inside but is super crunchy on the outside. Their crepes are solid as well. read more

My family and I stopped in here for dessert. The food was delicious. We had a peanut butter milk shake and a biscotti milkshake. We also had a kinder crepe. The crepe was amazing !!! The milkshakes were a bit thick for our liking. But after it melted for a bit, they were truly fantastic. It was crowded and we were given a buzzer when our order was ready. The food came out relatively quickly. The service was friendly. I'm just deducting stars for noise level. Cleanliness. And difficulty finding parking !!! Good luck with that!! Since their opened their second place this first one hasn't been the same, their food is not fresh and their menu changed big time, I used to get the strawberry crepe all the time but last 3 times it's been disappointing, seems that the strawberries are not fresh. My sister and I had gone to Alpine to see a movie and had heard that this spot was nearby. My sister had always wanted to try the Dubai chocolate so she bought one for $20 and I bought the strawberries with chocolate and pistachio for $16. I really enjoyed my dessert and got my money's worth. It is so much better to get it here than in Bryant Park because I think it's $25 over there. The spot here has a couple of tables but for the long line that forms, I would think that it would be more spacious. read more

One of the best dessert spots I've ever tried! The best part is they are open late for all of the night owls. I've tried both their shakes and a variety of different desserts. My favorite would have to be the ferrero rochere shake and the Ocky Way Special kunafa. The flavors of chocolate all melt in my mouth. The workers at the register are always quick and attentive, even if the crowd is all the way to the door. I also love the space and how there's a room in the back which may or may not be a garden. Great dessert spot! Came here on a Thursday night with some friends around 10pm and despite the time there was a line going out the door. I got the Lukumate which was an assortment of ball shaped donuts with various toppings. Was so good and great for sharing. Would definitely recommend checking out! read more

It's a nice place to sit and eat and it's open until very late which is nice. Their desserts are vey yummy. I have had their dubai kunafa crepe, lava cake and strawberry waffle which were all amazing. However, their desserts are very chocolately so it's definitely something I couldn't finish by myself so be mindful of that. The atmosphere isn't bad but there are lot of Arabs that come here and they're quite judgmental. I remember I made a late night trip here and I felt so self-conscious because they were looking at me and giving me and my family side eye and judging us and we didn't like that at all. It's a welcoming space with the decorative lighting and there's seating in the back ( it's not fully completed but I know when it is , it will look just as nice as the entry. As a big chocolate lover , the lava cake was my pick and if I must add .....the ocky way is the way!! It was sooooooo delicious , it was rich and smooth. Bustling lively spot with outdoor seating in the back and boutique feel indoor seating. The ocky way kunafa was filled with cream as opposed to the usual cheese and honestly loved that. The to go container kind of cheapened the presentation but with how busy these guys I can kinda understand why they don't plate anything. The kunafa was awesome and with the lotus biscoff, pistachio, and chocolate Oreo combination made every bite a delight with the different flavor profiles. For the price, I really don't think the shake was worth it (10+ dollars). The s'mores shake was topped with a ton of halal marshmallows but the shake itself for some bizarre reason had an almost strawberry taste. Maybe the ice cream scoop wasn't cleaned properly? Or the blender? Not quite sure. Could taste graham cracker though. I totally intend to return whenever I'm in the area again. I went here three times and it definitely worth the money and the hype. My go to order is crepe cake, the left one is moose special and the right one is lotus. The crepe really soft and you can taste the smell of milk mixing well with the chocolate! I also tried waffle but they aren't my favorite, it to soft for my liking, but overall it good 8/10. So when I ordered I wanted the classic kunafa $10, cashiers both suggested me to get the ocky way kunafa that was $15, when I read the description I knew I didn't want it cause it's just way too much toppings that's all too sweet for me. But the cashiers were pushing it like highly recommended, and they were like light topping will not be too sweet. I got the ocky way Kunafa. It wasn't too sweet but to go with my pistachio shake oh my it was just wayyy too sweet for my taste bud. Decided to take the family last night to try this spot since I had seen a lot of foot traffic coming in and out. It was very busy which supported my thoughts that it might be worth the wait. The kids all wanted to milkshakes and at $10 each I was expecting to get my monies worth. As I waited for my order I witnessed someone being trained on how to make milkshakes. Of course the customer becomes the guinea pig rather than ensuring this person knew how to make the product before the customer receives and pays that inflated price. As we walked away my kids were complaining that their shakes had too much milk. I thought they were crazy and tried them and they were spot on.
