I came in with a friend after we grabbed brunch elsewhere. There's plenty of seating, but the place itself is pretty basic. There are tons of frozen yogurt stations, but only about 5-6 flavors available at the time. A lot of the stations were out of service. There over 15 toppings for your frozen yogurt. I liked that they had mochi, one of my favorite froyo toppings. Prices are OK, a bit too "Manhattan" for my liking. I feel like I paid less at Pinkberry when Pinkberry was a thing. We just moved to the neighborhood and we've already been to Yosweets twice. I love that you can get a variety of toppings here and that it's a kid friendly environment. Here's the skinny. You walk in, get a cone or a cup and select as much or as little froyo as you want. Low fat and fat free options are labeled. Then you choose toppings: cookies, cereal, gummies, mochi, sprinkles, nuts, etc. Next is syrup, and if you want whipped cream you can just ask for it (they keep it in a cooler behind the counter). Then they weigh your food and you pay. Of course, my kids went overboard and I ended up paying $25 for yogurt lol. The toppings area was super clean both times that we went - and that area has the potential to be very sloppy, but the staff were attentive about cleaning up errant sprinkles. My favorite flavors in any froyo location would be taro, toasted coconut, and the NY cheesecake flavor. The consistency was quite runnier than other places I've been to, but price is $0.53/oz so it's not bad. Also they give sample cups for flavors to try out. Cleanliness is important and the facility is clean, but the girl upfront did everything. The chairs are comfy, but will be tight with larger groups of people. Once inside, you'll pass by the cashier place to peruse the menu and all the yummy toppings and flavors, they will spray your hands with an antibacterial liquid (not gel - yay!). Go to the back to get your cup and pick your flavor(s). I really don't remember any other flavors other than vanilla, mango and a, pomegranate sorbet since these were the only ones I cared about. The middle lever that would've combined two flavors didn't work and there was no sign posted about that. The topping station looked a bit dismal but fresh. This place is super cute. It has that bright look most froyo places have. I'm always weary of trying new places for my frozen yogurt because some have w weird taste. The service here is very friendly and they have a ton of good flavors to choose from. The coconut is especially creamy and the taro was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend had their cookies and cream with cheesecake. He's a picky eater and even he was pleased. They also give you a nifty little card that they stamp everytime you buy one. The big takeaway is their 12 flavors of froyo to choose from. Self-serve froyo is nothing new in this hyper-competitive market of traditional old-school ice cream, seasonal Italian ices, and the resurgence of premium ice cream. They don't do anything different and while that may pass in an area that has few options, this isn't the case in Bay Ridge. Good amount of seating, but be aware of that narrow corridor leading to their Froyo dispensers in the back-could be problematic when this place gets packed and busy during the summer months. There's no flow or discernible way to line up to get your Froyo. Some customers are just all over the place. What's up with that? At $.49/oz, much like their competition, is priced nearly the same however i find their eurotart (a thicker version of classic) to have better consistency. It's not as watery as nearby Swirl Fun's (see my review on that) classic froyo. The mochi is colorful here... Never thought I'd see that but that's the only thing unique here besides their loyalty card program which was better. It was Buy 4 get 1 free card but seems to be no longer existent. Finally the toppings... fruit are hit or miss as with the other froyo spots, they're not always fresh. They also are able to make smoothies and crepes like the rest and offer coffee/tea during the off-season. When they're not busy behind the counter, they do assist with samples, however I can't see that happening during the busy times. How about offering sample cups upon request? Of the three froyo places in the area, I'd make this my first option for the reasons cited above - 12 flavors. PS. Hey owner, you've got a discernible scowl on your face. Lighten up! Each ounce cost 53¢ and they only give 5oz free after purchasing 5 Frozen yogurts ( they all have to be 4 dollars or more. So I'm actually not getting one free. I'm just getting a discount 2.65 $ off. I always get more than 5oz. I'm always paying 8 dollars or more per cup. Everything else is alright. The staff are friendly. read more

I was greeted warmly by the young man behind the counter, who quickly got swamped with customers and could not help me with samples. I was a bit miffed that he did not offer to just give me 1-2 sample cups, but maybe that is their policy? -1 star. After waiting 4-5 minutes another older gentleman came in and I quickly grabbed him before others could. He enthusiastically showed me to the dispensing area and I sampled Banana Foster (OMG) and a couple others. I settled on the Banana Foster and Original Tart topped with many yummies. The Banana Tart is a mix of banana and caramel and is simply divine. Their toppings bar is fresh and clean, and has many options from which to peruse. Overall I would certainly come here again and the price isn't bad at about .50$/ounce. read more

I paid close to $9 for mine, and it really wasn't huge. There are better prices in the city. Secondly, some of the fruit was frozen and the strawberries were smushed and swimming in juice. A kid was double-dipping with his own spoon into the cookie crumbs. No. Lastly, biggest NO: the plain yogurt didn't have that delicious tartness. It tasted chalky and a little too sweet. We go here at least once a week in the summers - yes, sometimes two or three times a week! The employees are always super pleasant and helpful. The frozen yogurt is delicious, as are all of the toppings. Also, they keep the toppings area very clean and neat. The owner or manager (I'm not sure) is almost always in there as well tidying up and greeting customers. Horrible horrible customer service. On two separate occasions, I've had the worst experience with them.. the first time, I waited over 30 minutes for waffle cakes to be made, because apparently, they didn't have enough batter to fulfill their orders. Once I finally received the waffle cakes, they didn't seem remorseful. On the second occasion, I struggled to push a double stroller out of the door.
