    Hummus Salatim

This popular open air Israeli kebab restaurant located atop the Hoxton Hotel in Williamsburg is a perfect venue for second spring in New York, boasting wraparound windows looking towards the Manhattan skyline. The salatim is a vegan assortment of mezze with standout baba ghanoush and fresh creamy hummus that goes perfectly with the softest warm pita I've ever had. The servers in Hawaiian shirts keep the drinks flowing and bring more complimentary pita as soon as you finish. The steak and chicken skewers are succulent and tasty. The cocktails are all good. My favorite is What's up Doc, which tasted like a well balanced ginger smoothie with carrot and apricot blended with whiskey and herbaceous genepy. The brown sugar soft serve has perfect texture with halva oat crumble and a fruit compote. A very satisfying brunch to enjoy the short lived second spring before third winter.

I love this place. Everything taste so fresh. The portions are big so share away! It's quite an arrangement of dishes. I would recommend opening up the pita and putting everything inside so you get all flavors in one bite. The server recommended the Endive and apple salad and boy did it not disappoint. It had so much flavor and just the perfect amount of spice, not overpowering. And the sauce is consisted of an apple butter and lemon vinaigrette, absolutely delicious. I was slopping it up. I really love that all the ingridents they use are infused with the Israel culture, for instance the nuts were Dukkah a Middle Eastern spice blend of nut seeds and spices with a warm toasty and nutty flavor. Absolutely delicious. Music is funky and groovy. I'd recommend coming here before 12 PM on a Sunday if you don't have a reservation as it does get pretty busy. However the server and manager were both attentive even with the whole place filled. And the best part it's on the top floor so you get some amazing views of east river and lower east side. Day or night, you'll have a fantastic view of the city that never sleep.

I had been meaning to go to Laser Wolf for so long and finally got a chance to go on a Thursday night! It's located on the rooftop of a hotel with a beautiful view of the skyline so it's probably very nice during warmer months. We each got a drink - cosmo, spicy drink, and get shishlikd, and all were delicious. The star of the show was the salatim. It came out beautifully as a spread with warm, thick pita along with a piece of paper explaining what each item was. We quickly became full from just the salatim. For the mains, we got the chicken, lamb meatballs, and eggplant. Although at first glance the portions looked small, it was actually perfect considering the salatim and dessert. For dessert, we were given the brown sugar soft serve which was actually pretty large and I didn't end up finishing it. We had so many leftovers and the meal was amazing!

What a meal and what a view, Laser Wolf was truly fantastic. A few people had told me it was their favorite restaurant in the city, and when I peeped the menu and saw just how small it was, I was a little surprised by their sentiment. But, if you only do a few things, you probably do them pretty damn near perfect, and that was the case here. We had a late lunch reservation and enjoyed their prix fixe, which is the only real option aside from some smaller side dish options. The prix fixe came with your choice of protein, hummus, pita, and the daily selection of salatim, which happened to be cucumber, olive and pickles, Baba ghanoush, and a cabbage salad/slaw. Everything was great, but we really tore through the cucumbers and cabbage. The included sides were all bottomless, so they would stop by to refill if needed. For protein we got the chicken, steak, and lamb all to share. Again, each one was fantastic. I couldn't even pick a favorite because they were all so good. I would absolutely get any of them again, and would hope to get all of them again. We also got an order of the fries, which were so good and crispy. They were pretty thick so I wasn't expecting the crispy crunch, but they were cooked wonderfully. To drink I got the Get Shishlik'd, a nice frozen cocktail that was perfect for a warm and sunny day overlooking the city. Service was very friendly and food came out pretty quickly. Servers checked in frequently to make sure we had what we needed, but never made us feel pressured to hurry.

Unlimited refills for bread AND dips???? SAY LESS. Their hummus was by far the best on their menu!!! I also really enjoyed the cabbage+fennel, roasted beets, and mushrooms+apples from the Salatim platter. The steak shishlik and spicy lamb kofta entrees were also SO delicious!! Especially with the rice and tahini sauce mmmm. And their dessert was actually really good too!

I've been to the original location in Philly, but I loved it so much that I knew I had to come here too. It's very hard to get a reservation here, but I was able to get a later dinner time for a group five. I think this is a great place to take a group of friends who have different dietary restrictions since everyone chooses their own main, but you still get to share the salatim as a group. My friend is a vegetarian, and they had plenty of options for her to choose from. I loved trying all of the salatim with my friends; it's really hard to not fill up before the entrees come! It's already a ton of food, but I really recommend getting the french fries. They're not your normal fries. They're super thick but crispy and perfectly seasoned. The only complaint I have about the place is that we were seated at the last table at the end so the heater didn't reach us. It was a freezing night, so we all had to keep our winter coats on. I wish they had a portable heat lamp next to our table instead of on the wall. The ice cream at the end was delicious, but we were all so cold that no one finished it.

Laser Wolf is a must try. The Pre-fixe is an amazing deal and the food is fantastic. We started with the Salatim Hummus. Every dip and salad was delicious. They give unlimited refills of any salad or dip you want and pita. We then had the Aged T-bone steak for 2. It was perfectly cooked and a huge amount of food. We finished with the brown butter ice cream which is one of my favorite desserts ever. Our waitress was so attentive and nice. And.. the view! It was beautiful.

View is great. It's at the 11th floor of a hotel. Drinks are good too. Get the Branzino and the brisket. Cosmo was good as well as the guava frozen drink. Staff is great. Happy Yelping!

Really cool location, and worth a visit for the ambiance and unique dining experience! I really liked the concept of the salatim, my favorites being the dips and hummus. One of the best hummus' I've had in the city! For the mains, we tried the lamb kofta, beef and lamb kofta, ocean trout, and grilled eggplant. I unfortunately found the trout to be lacking in flavor and overall an odd texture. My favorite dish was probably the beef and lamb kofta, as it was well seasoned and balanced well with the tahini sauce. Not sure I'd come back again unless for a special occasion. But be sure to come hungry!

Laser Wolf is an Israeli rooftop restaurant located in The Hoxton. Everything is cooked on a charcoal grill with views over the East River. This spot has quickly become my favorite restaurant right now. We went on a cold December evening and everyone was bundled up in full winter gear, which honestly added to the experience. It's definitely chilly, but the heaters during the winter months make it manageable (and worth it tbh). The unlimited salatim was fantastic and easily one of the highlights. Everything was impossible to stop eating. The steak shishlik and brisket kebab were unbelievable. And the French fries with tehina ketchup were the crunchiest, most perfect fries I've ever had. The summer months are definitely an ideal time to dine here, but it's truly worth going whenever you can.

Great quality food and beautiful views. Went in the winter so imagine views better as it gets warmer. Large area and good temp despite the email notice. Went with friends for Prefix - meat and small bites were all delicious as well as ice cream. Overall was soo good- great service, atmosphere, and food. Seasoning was delicious and recommend

What a treat coming here the food was amazing , such a selection of goodies.. The tray presented at the beginning with all these different type of delicacies to go with your main dish selection . We picked the brisket and the lamb dish and also the grilled fish dish . Food is just amazing and dessert included .

My favorite part about Laser Wolf was the view! It's on a rooftop with a view of the beautiful city skyline. The menu is pretty simple which makes it easy to choose. It's a pre fixe menu where you choose your main (meats, fish, vegetables, etc) and it comes with salatim and dessert. The server will explain all the different dishes in the salatim. It was so fun trying all the dips and vegetables in the salatim and their unlimited refills. It's also served with pita bread. We got the chicken and spicy lamb and both were good. My favorite was the chicken since it was so tender. For dessert we got a brown sugar apple and shortbread ice cream which was delicious!

Is it open air or closed in? The photos make it seem like there's only a half glass partition. Can I come here in the winter or will it be too cold?

In the winter it is closed off with plexiglass and has overhead heaters. Given how all over the weather is lately, don't know if heaters will be on, but yes it is enclosed in plexiglass. Unsure when they switch to spring/summer mode and remove the… Read more

Anything vegetarian or vegan? How much is the prefix dinner if you have these dietary needs?

Yes there are cauliflower and eggplant on the menu for $45 dollars I believe. You can also just go for the unlimited salatim for 24 bucks I think. It's all available on their website.

Is there valet parking? If not, is there parking nearby?

No valet but there is a parking nearby.

Safe to assume there is no concern eating there gluten free (minus any bread)?

I wouldn't say safe cause lots of dishes can add some kind of bread , bread crumbs etc . So you should ask .

    Is this rooftop wheelchair accessible?

Should be ok since they have an elevator to get there

    Are they non dairy friendly?

Yes. You can have a full meal of non dairy items minus the soft serve and a few other sides here and there. Just specify when you make the reservation and it should be fine.

Is the restaurant warm enough on a winter night?

It's insulated so it feels like being inside! Plenty warm.

    Do they take walk ins?

They do take walk-ins, but it's a small restaurant and I wouldn't try doing a walk-in during peak hours or on weekends.

    Are small dogs allowed?

Sorry. I don't know. Call them.

    Is your restaurant Kosher?

No, it's not Kosher. It's an Israeli style restaurant that specializes in multiple salads as appetizers with an entree of grilled meat, veggies, or fish.

Does the salatim come with each meal? Are the grill entrees for one or two? Confusing.

Yes the salatim comes unlimited which includes the pita and hummus, which is for free. However each person in your party has to order one item entree for it to be free.

Does Laser Wolf take walk ins to sit at the bar?

They do but the place is pretty full for the most part.

    Is there parking?

No parking! Only street level. Don't think they have valet either

It would be challenging for one person let alone two to be behind that bar shaking and stirring. I also heard there's a back area with more seating but we didn't explore much further than the front bar stool seating. We were lucky to grab 2 seats at the bar as the rest of the seating actually seemed a bit cramped and uninviting. They advertise a heated back patio but I don't think the heat was on and no one was there, which is a bummer. Regardless, the theme is nice with everything attributable to their "laboratory" ambience. Everything is served in beakers or similar glasses. It can get a bit crowded sitting at the bar as that's where everyone orders drinks but otherwise this was quite enjoyable. Will definitely keep on the list for HH.
