    Brown Sugar Soft Serve

I enjoyed Laser Wolf's prix fixe format where your grill choice automatically comes with silky hummus, warm pita and a daily spread of four salatim. Before the main even arrives you're already happy! The pickled vegetables, baba ganoush, cabbage salad and olives kept things exciting from the start. The Steak Shishlik was the real moment though, beautifully charred, tender and served on a metal platter with pickled red onions and sumac tahini. Just really solid, satisfying dish. Drinks were a vibe too. The Pomegranate Cosmo was deep pink, orchid-topped and delicious. The Hot Crush brought a bright kiwi flavor with just enough spice to keep it interesting. And the Brown Sugar Soft Serve with halva oat crumble to finish? Light, a little crunchy and the perfect ending.

Lunch- Pita, hummus, and daily salatim

I visited this Israeli spot for lunch with a few others a while back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As others have mentioned, you're partially paying for the very nice view, and since it's a hotel restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a bit warm at our table, and the friendly staff moved us to a cooler area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] To drink, I ordered the Wolf's Fang for $18, a blend of rums, falernum, arak, passionfruit, orange, and oat milk. As described, it was their take on a milk punch, and wasn't too sweet with a bright hint of citrus. I would recommend it. The hummus was good, being thick with a strong tahini flavor, though I have preferred others. Outside of the hummus, the daily salatim included a mix of mostly pickled items. First, there was some pickled cauliflower and carrots with a bit of turmeric. The second salatim was a more unique and spicier pineapple slaw, which was refreshing, and had some herbal flavor from parsley or something similar. The third was a cabbage slaw, which was alright, as I found it a bit too lightly seasoned. The last was a mix of cucumbers, olives, and other pickles, which was standard and tasty. Alongside all of this, the pita was warm and fresh, and the staff refilled everything when we asked. For the main course, I chose the Steak Shashlik, which they spell as shishlik, for $46, which came with tahini and some pickled onions. The steak was tender and well seasoned, and the tahini added a distinctive nuttiness. I especially enjoyed making a mini sandwich with the steak, tahini, pineapple pickle, and pita. Others at the table ordered the Spicy Lamb Kofta and other shashlik options, including Chicken and Trout. In terms of sides, someone got the $15 Fries with tahina ketchup, which they enjoyed. Overall, everyone enjoyed their meal, with no one ordering dessert as a few walked over to the tasty Bertoni Gelato nearby. This place is a tad expensive, but I wouldn't mind going back. Even as a fan of pickles, I wish the salatim were a bit more varied, such as including an eggplant or bean-based mezze. I presume the dinner version is a bit more varied, as there are many more salatim, but they should put a bit more effort into the lunch one as well.

Amazing Israeli food located on the roof of The Hoxton Hotel in Williamsburg. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The location provide fantastic views of Manhattan (go at sunset).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food and service were both top notch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space itself is huge with an open kitchen and chill vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You can order a la carte, but might as well do the prix fixe. For $50-$59 per person, you get unlimited salatim which included some of the most delicious hummus, babaganoush, potatoes and 8 other options along with unlimited house made pita served warm and a meat option. I went with Lamb & Beef Koobideh which was so good. You end with brown sugar soft serve ice cream for dessert! Cocktails were great especially the No Big Dill (ford's gin, herb infused vermouth, olive oil vodka, cucumber). Reservations are a must! Go!!!

Everything was as expected and more... Loved it! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining room is very lively (on a Thursday night) with incredible views.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was concerned about the room temp. as it was very cold outside, but with the heaters blasting and the plastic coverings, it wasn't a problem.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Starting with that Salatim platter, all the food was super good and fresh. If you're not into spicy food, some of the dips on the platter might not be your thing, but we loved it. I read a review that said the hummus is the best they ever tasted, and I totally agree. The fresh pita was the perfect accompaniment--don't be shy to ask for more. And the platter is a lot of food. We were tempted to try one of the ala carte items suggested by our waiter, but glad we didn't as we couldn't finish everything. This is a really well-run restaurant. Our waiter, Richie, was super helpful, friendly, and accommodating. We were about to pass on the ice cream (lactose intolerant), but Richie offered really tasty non-dairy sorbet instead.

I love this place. Everything taste so fresh. The portions are big so share away! It's quite an arrangement of dishes. I would recommend opening up the pita and putting everything inside so you get all flavors in one bite. The server recommended the Endive and apple salad and boy did it not disappoint. It had so much flavor and just the perfect amount of spice, not overpowering. And the sauce is consisted of an apple butter and lemon vinaigrette, absolutely delicious. I was slopping it up. I really love that all the ingridents they use are infused with the Israel culture, for instance the nuts were Dukkah a Middle Eastern spice blend of nut seeds and spices with a warm toasty and nutty flavor. Absolutely delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Music is funky and groovy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'd recommend coming here before 12 PM on a Sunday if you don't have a reservation as it does get pretty busy. However the server and manager were both attentive even with the whole place filled. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And the best part it's on the top floor so you get some amazing views of east river and lower east side.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Day or night, you'll have a fantastic view of the city that never sleep.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Unlimited refills for bread AND dips???? SAY LESS. Their hummus was by far the best on their menu!!! I also really enjoyed the cabbage+fennel, roasted beets, and mushrooms+apples from the Salatim platter. The steak shishlik and spicy lamb kofta entrees were also SO delicious!! Especially with the rice and tahini sauce mmmm. And their dessert was actually really good too!

I had been meaning to go to Laser Wolf for so long and finally got a chance to go on a Thursday night! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's located on the rooftop of a hotel with a beautiful view of the skyline so it's probably very nice during warmer months.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We each got a drink - cosmo, spicy drink, and get shishlikd, and all were delicious. The star of the show was the salatim. It came out beautifully as a spread with warm, thick pita along with a piece of paper explaining what each item was. We quickly became full from just the salatim. For the mains, we got the chicken, lamb meatballs, and eggplant. Although at first glance the portions looked small, it was actually perfect considering the salatim and dessert. For dessert, we were given the brown sugar soft serve which was actually pretty large and I didn't end up finishing it. We had so many leftovers and the meal was amazing!

What a meal and what a view, Laser Wolf was truly fantastic. A few people had told me it was their favorite restaurant in the city, and when I peeped the menu and saw just how small it was, I was a little surprised by their sentiment. But, if you only do a few things, you probably do them pretty damn near perfect, and that was the case here. We had a late lunch reservation and enjoyed their prix fixe, which is the only real option aside from some smaller side dish options. The prix fixe came with your choice of protein, hummus, pita, and the daily selection of salatim, which happened to be cucumber, olive and pickles, Baba ghanoush, and a cabbage salad/slaw. Everything was great, but we really tore through the cucumbers and cabbage. The included sides were all bottomless, so they would stop by to refill if needed. For protein we got the chicken, steak, and lamb all to share. Again, each one was fantastic. I couldn't even pick a favorite because they were all so good. I would absolutely get any of them again, and would hope to get all of them again. We also got an order of the fries, which were so good and crispy. They were pretty thick so I wasn't expecting the crispy crunch, but they were cooked wonderfully. To drink I got the Get Shishlik'd, a nice frozen cocktail that was perfect for a warm and sunny day overlooking the city. Service was very friendly and food came out pretty quickly. Servers checked in frequently to make sure we had what we needed, but never made us feel pressured to hurry.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This popular open air Israeli kebab restaurant located atop the Hoxton Hotel in Williamsburg is a perfect venue for second spring in New York, boasting wraparound windows looking towards the Manhattan skyline.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The salatim is a vegan assortment of mezze with standout baba ghanoush and fresh creamy hummus that goes perfectly with the softest warm pita I've ever had. The servers in Hawaiian shirts keep the drinks flowing and bring more complimentary pita as soon as you finish. The steak and chicken skewers are succulent and tasty. The cocktails are all good. My favorite is What's up Doc, which tasted like a well balanced ginger smoothie with carrot and apricot blended with whiskey and herbaceous genepy. The brown sugar soft serve has perfect texture with halva oat crumble and a fruit compote. A very satisfying brunch to enjoy the short lived second spring before third winter.

I've been to the original location in Philly, but I loved it so much that I knew I had to come here too. It's very hard to get a reservation here, but I was able to get a later dinner time for a group five. I think this is a great place to take a group of friends who have different dietary restrictions since everyone chooses their own main, but you still get to share the salatim as a group. My friend is a vegetarian, and they had plenty of options for her to choose from. I loved trying all of the salatim with my friends; it's really hard to not fill up before the entrees come! It's already a ton of food, but I really recommend getting the french fries. They're not your normal fries. They're super thick but crispy and perfectly seasoned. The only complaint I have about the place is that we were seated at the last table at the end so the heater didn't reach us. It was a freezing night, so we all had to keep our winter coats on. I wish they had a portable heat lamp next to our table instead of on the wall. The ice cream at the end was delicious, but we were all so cold that no one finished it.

Really cool location, and worth a visit for the ambiance and unique dining experience! I really liked the concept of the salatim, my favorites being the dips and hummus. One of the best hummus' I've had in the city! For the mains, we tried the lamb kofta, beef and lamb kofta, ocean trout, and grilled eggplant. I unfortunately found the trout to be lacking in flavor and overall an odd texture. My favorite dish was probably the beef and lamb kofta, as it was well seasoned and balanced well with the tahini sauce. Not sure I'd come back again unless for a special occasion. But be sure to come hungry!

Laser Wolf is an Israeli rooftop restaurant located in The Hoxton. Everything is cooked on a charcoal grill with views over the East River. This spot has quickly become my favorite restaurant right now. We went on a cold December evening and everyone was bundled up in full winter gear, which honestly added to the experience. It's definitely chilly, but the heaters during the winter months make it manageable (and worth it tbh). The unlimited salatim was fantastic and easily one of the highlights. Everything was impossible to stop eating. The steak shishlik and brisket kebab were unbelievable. And the French fries with tehina ketchup were the crunchiest, most perfect fries I've ever had. The summer months are definitely an ideal time to dine here, but it's truly worth going whenever you can.

What a treat coming here the food was amazing , such a selection of goodies.. The tray presented at the beginning with all these different type of delicacies to go with your main dish selection . We picked the brisket and the lamb dish and also the grilled fish dish . Food is just amazing and dessert included .

Is it open air or closed in? The photos make it seem like there's only a half glass partition. Can I come here in the winter or will it be too cold?

In the winter it is closed off with plexiglass and has overhead heaters. Given how all over the weather is lately, don't know if heaters will be on, but yes it is enclosed in plexiglass. Unsure when they switch to spring/summer mode and remove the…

Anything vegetarian or vegan? How much is the prefix dinner if you have these dietary needs?

Yes there are cauliflower and eggplant on the menu for $45 dollars I believe. You can also just go for the unlimited salatim for 24 bucks I think. It's all available on their website.

Is there valet parking? If not, is there parking nearby?

No valet but there is a parking nearby.

Safe to assume there is no concern eating there gluten free (minus any bread)?

I wouldn't say safe cause lots of dishes can add some kind of bread , bread crumbs etc . So you should ask .

    Is this rooftop wheelchair accessible?

Should be ok since they have an elevator to get there

    Are they non dairy friendly?

Yes. You can have a full meal of non dairy items minus the soft serve and a few other sides here and there. Just specify when you make the reservation and it should be fine.

Is the restaurant warm enough on a winter night?

It's insulated so it feels like being inside! Plenty warm.

    Do they take walk ins?

They do take walk-ins, but it's a small restaurant and I wouldn't try doing a walk-in during peak hours or on weekends.

    Are small dogs allowed?

Sorry. I don't know. Call them.

    Is your restaurant Kosher?

No, it's not Kosher. It's an Israeli style restaurant that specializes in multiple salads as appetizers with an entree of grilled meat, veggies, or fish.

Does the salatim come with each meal? Are the grill entrees for one or two? Confusing.

Yes the salatim comes unlimited which includes the pita and hummus, which is for free. However each person in your party has to order one item entree for it to be free.

Does Laser Wolf take walk ins to sit at the bar?

They do but the place is pretty full for the most part.

    Is there parking?

No parking! Only street level. Don't think they have valet either

The fish was very fresh and it's pretty affordable. I've only ever been here in groups of two and I probably would recommend it for smaller groups because the space itself is small and most of the tables are two-seaters if I recall correctly.

It's been open for a few years, so clearly it has a good enough formula to keep the neighborhood happy. I have been here once before, but returned last week after dining several meals at Tomoni in Jackson Heights. Apparently, the owners are friends. Nonetheless, I needed to make the comparison. After my first few bites of their Tora Don and Chirashi Don, it was clear that this restaurant has the better quality seafood. Each slice of sashimi had vibrant colors, clean taste, and the proper texture. Tomoni is not bad, but fall slightly short of this caliber. With that said, there is an even farther gap between their rice quality. Though Tora is very good, Tomoni produces nearly perfect texture and acidity for my taste buds. Other than the best omakase restaurants in NYC, Tomoni shines as one of the best versions of sushi rice in the five boroughs. Service is good and space is cute. If I have a craving for some decent Japanese food, I would drive 20 minutes here for a meal anytime.
