I've never had a better hot chocolate in my life and I think this triggered my love for hot chocolate (that is not Swiss miss) I got milk chocolate with oat milk and it was soooooo creamy. You can choose dark chocolate, milk chocolate, or white chocolate. Definitely sweet but that's to be expected since they use chocolate shavings! I also like how they give you the option to sub regular milk The inside was so cute with lights on the ceiling. They also have chocolate available for sale which I think would be the perfect stocking stuffer

Dark hot chocolate was good but I think they could've chosen a different chocolate to make the drink with since the aftertaste doesn't fit a hot chocolate for my taste. Also service was not friendly. Overall beautiful shop.

I've been meaning to visit the shop in Soho for a year now after my brother bought me a holiday gift box. Amazing! The shop is sooo cute and smelled of hot chocolate. The staff were very friendly and helpful considering my many questions! I handpicked some truffles for a small box to try before the holidays. I'll report back!

A resident of SoHo, and an environmental specialist who would love to patron this establishment for yummy rich chocolates while supporting the elephant and rhino populations, I am deeply disappointed that I cannot enter with my 5 year old Sheepadoodle who has epilepsy and cannot be le ft alone. There is not one other establishment in Soho that has restricted our access, from shops to restaurants to cafés and galleries. McKinley is a neighborhood favorite. I hope they changed their policy soon to be more in line with the Soho vibe!

Came in here for very cold winter and ordered a hot dark chocolate drink. Wow I was amazed. The other products that this place carries were also amazing, great looking, and mouth watering. Will definitely come back again to this place in the future

LA Burdick's hot chocolate was exactly what I needed during this cold holiday season! You have the option of selecting between blend vs single source, and dark vs milk vs white chocolate (with some single source there is even an extra dark option). I was feeling the classic dark chocolate and it definitely met my high expectations, after hearing the praise of their chocolate quality. Compared to other hot chocolates in the city, I liked how the dark chocolate came through nicely with an appropriate sweetness level. Loved how it was thick and creamy, but still "drinkable" and liquid enough to enjoy as a drink! The store itself is also very cute with lots of fairy lights hanging from the ceiling and its chocolates showcased around the room. Love how their packs of hot chocolate comes with a mini whisk. You order with the cashier and there is a separate cafe section on the side where you pick up your drink. Staff were polite towards customers but the cafe staff were rude to their cashier counterparts when orders were messed up. There is only one indoor table that accomodate about 3 people and two tables outdoor. Worth checking out if you're exploring the NYC hot chocolate scene!

Liking dark chocolate seems to be a hot take for some people, but what if it's combined with *another* love-or-hate flavor: cardamom?? Porto baton. I absolutely love the combination of dark chocolate and cardamom in this piece! Unsurprisingly, my sister couldn't have more than a nibble of it lol. The porto baton chocolate piece is a real treat for dark chocolate and cardamom fans. The Earl Grey one was quite nice as well. Bold floral tea flavor. The salted caramels aren't of the same caliber as the ones at Seattle's Fran's Chocolates in terms of smoothness, but they still get the job done. The coconut & ginger chocolate piece and the mango piece seemed a bit gimmicky to me; flavors didn't mesh perfectly (mango one was particularly really tart) and the filling was too textured for my liking. Of course I couldn't help but get a few of the animal-shaped ones. Very cute mice and penguins chocolates, but the taste itself wasn't anything noteworthy. Overall I'd say it's worth a visit if you're really curious about the unique flavors that are in the chocolates here!

The Hot chocolate is a winner lol get milk not the dark because baby lol that cup ain't friendly if you can't handle the sharpness. The decor is similar to other designer chocolatiers. Staff were cool. Would definitely come back.

It was a Saturday late afternoon (~420pm) and the Boston store is already packed! We waited for about 20minutes, in my opinion it's not bad given it's a holiday season weekend. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ~ Single Source Drinking Chocolate $6.5 ~ The single source of the month is Madagascar. Knowing it's a very creamy & thick drinking chocolate, we opted for the small size and it was perfect for the two of us. Using dark chocolate (so it's not overly sweet), the drink is incredibly chocolatey and incorporated the lovely flavour of Madagascar chocolate, which have a citrus fruitiness with hints of floral aromas. Rating: 5/5 ~ Single Source Chocolate Bar $11 ~ Becoz I love the drink, I also bought the chocolate bars and they taste heavenly. I picked Madagascar & Brazil, they tasted just how the guide described (see picture)! Rating: 5/5 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Will I be back? Yes It reminds me of the hot chocolate I used to get in Europe, and I love it. I had Max Brenner's drinking chocolate just a week after and bloody hated it. Let me know if there are other great hot chocolate in the city so I can check them out!

One of the best hot chocolates I've had in my life-- it's pricey but worth it, just so decadent and delicious without being overly rich. Really really nice depth of flavor. Liked it so much I bought a bag of their hot chocolate mix (recommend the milk chocolate blend) to take home, which comes with this cute little whisk. Seating is very very limited, there's basically just one tiny table and I don't think it has a bathroom either. Also bought a box of chocolates which were good but I don't think were worth the price. Of the ones I tried, honey walnut was by far my favorite.

THE BEST HOT CHOCOLATE IN NEW YORK!! Seriously this place is amazing. I always bring my friends here that are from out of town and they are always blown away! You can get either milk, dark, or white sipping chocolate for your hot cocoa. They also have an assortment of chocolate and pastries to choose from and coffee as well. I really recommend coming here for hot cocoa!!

First of all we purchased a chocolate cookie that did not even make it outside of the restaurant! The gooey inside of that cookie fell into my mouth. My sister purchased the milk hot chocolate but loved my white hot chocolate better. This is my second time and this location never disappoints! The service is consistently great. The ambiance adds a whimsical twist on chocolate. There is not a lot of indoor seating but they do offer seating outside.

Welcome to chocolate heaven ! This place is on the pricier side. They have everything from flavored chocolate truffles to chocolate pastries and even chocolate animals - in every flavor you can imagine . I tried their chocolate chip cookie, and it was warmed to perfection in the oven. The inside was melty and chewy with sooo much chocolate, while the outside was perfectly crispy . It wasn't my favorite cookie in the city, but it was definitely a good one. The shop is small with minimal seating, but it's so cute. Plus, the shop manager was so nice, which made the experience even better. My only regret? Not trying their frozen hot chocolate for the summer . Next time for sure!

My fiancé and I had a lot of fun looking at all of the choices they had. There were some regular flavors like Milk Chocolate, White Chocolate but there were also some fun flavors like Pumpkin Spice, Milk Chocolate Sea Salt. On top of all of this, there is an option of prepackaged Lindt chocolates as well as different chocolate barks by the entrance. Definitely a fun thing to do with your friends as well!

They're also across the street from a flagship Ghirardelli store, which they also own, if you aren't aware. In general, I find Lindt too sweet, but that is also coming from someone who is a dark chocolate lover. For this location specifically, the staff here are friendly and give samples, which is a plus. Anyway, if you're wondering why you'd want to stop here instead of just going to the literal CVS around the corner which sells their products, you can customize stuff better here, and there are many more options. Along with the standard truffles they are famous for, there are flavors available only at this location, as well as seasonal ones. Some current ones include shortbread, made with milk chocolate, as well as a snickerdoodle, which I didn't realize was made with white chocolate, or else I wouldn't have purchased that one (it was still tasty,) and others. The truffles are around 62¢ post-tax for a single one, so it's a little cheap and tasty treat. Outside of truffles, there are bars, some fancier chocolates, and bark, among many other things. Of course, there's a Dubai option like every other chocolatier in case you want to purchase a cheapo version here. Obviously, the chocolates in general are not as high-quality as Läderach, Li-Lac, and other spots, but they are at very different price points, so that's to be expected. The latter spots are more artisanal, while this is a step up from Hershey's "chalk-olate" and other cheaper brands. If you're looking to buy a gift without paying an exorbitant price but still want a step up from Hershey's or similar places, I would recommend going here.

The great reviews and overall rating along with the fact they had an emphasis on sour beers (my wife's favorite style of beer) made it a no brainer. Also as you have likely seen they are a women-owned operation so another positive. We did mistakingly walk by it at first but quickly found it. It's a beautifully designed space and more unique than your typical brewery space. Also speaking of they have lots of drinks other than beers, including wines, ciders, cocktails, coffee and a couple NA beers. Due to the impending storm they were closing early but my wife and I each got a beer. I got their New England IPA called Sun Up which was citrusy and juicy with a touch of bitterness/hoppy notes. Then my wife got their fruited sour Peach Berry Punch that definitely had a punch of pink guava and peach but the berry was more subtle. Two great beers with plenty of other styles available too. Service was friendly with a smile and took no time to get our beers. Such a positive experience we plan on returning to give their cocktails a try! An absolute must visit for beer lovers who find themselves near Bryant Park! (Also non-beer lovers since they offer so much more too.)

It didn't wow me. Tasted pretty much like your standard chocolate almonds. I recently decided to give this place another shot to try their highly-raved macarons and OMG... didn't expect a macaron to change my life. The chocolate ganache is heavenly. My favorite might be the "Sylvia", which is milk chocolate ganache + hints of caramel. The worker behind the counter was kind and helpful. I purchased two macaron sets, informing her that one was a present. She graciously offered me an extra gift bag.

How have I never written a review of this remarkable chocolate shop?!…read more La Maison du Chocolat is my all-time favorite chocolate. I am a devotee of dark chocolate, and have tried every dark offering it has. Each is superb, even flavor combinations I haven't historically adored (like orange and chocolate - I know it's popular, but it's just not my favorite). That said, my personal favorite is the Anastasia, a hazelnut and dark praline enrobed in dark chocolate. It is exquisite. Service is always excellent. I've ordered in person and over the phone, and have always been so pleased with the staff. The website is helpful when ordering a variety, but if you'd like an entire box of Anastasia, for example, you have to call the Rockefeller Center store and place the order by phone. They ship once a week, and I always have my box fairly quickly. Boxes make terrific gifts ... including for yourself. If you're walking in, I recommend sitting down to enjoy a few pieces of chocolate, then taking the rest in a box with you. There is a cozy but comfortable seating area in the back just for this. This area is also an ideal place to enjoy some of their drinking chocolate. Highly, highly recommend.
