Been a regular here for years now and this place holds a special place in my heart. My all time favorite desserts are here that are found nowhere else. The star of the show: purple yam souffle with vanilla ice cream is chefs kiss!! I thought I couldn't like any dessert more than their chocolate molten lava cake but this one definitely takes the spot. Top two desserts they have! Even when I had lava cakes at fancy establishments, it doesn't hold a candle to prince tea house! Their crepe cakes are also alright but I've found the to be less unique and enjoyable especially the brown sugar boba which sometimes comes out in clumps hard to pour onto the cake. Their food selection is decent for sandwiches like chicken katsu and also fries. Their fruity teas aren't my style but their hot milk teas are amazing. The lavender green tea was more green tea which was disappointing, hoped to taste more lavender. The best one is the rose lovers milk tea, literally perfection each time. Unfortunately, this place may no longer be my usual. My favorite part of this place is that the serves don't really care about you in the sense that the bring you food and leave you alone. However, they now impose mandatory 20% tip on all tables even for table of 1 or 2. This location only. As someone who realizes the servers here simply bring food and nothing else here (which I actually love as I don't like to be bothered) but expect a high mandatory tip, this is not the way to go. Especially since there have been numerous occasions where servers are nowhere to be seen and refuse to service you for something as simple as napkins or a check if they're not your server, this is an absurd addition. Definitely visiting less now that this happened. The most bothersome is that it's mandatory. Doesn't seem right/ethical and makes it feel less genuine. Had the pleasure of visiting other prince tea house locations and the service seems better, even water without asking, surprising cash discount, and most importantly: don't impose this mandatory tip! Not sure what changed here but not what it used to be with this and it needs to change. TDLR: -best options here: rose lovers milk teas, chocolate lava cake, purple yam soufflé -major con: new mandated 20% tip!! on all tables, even table of 1 or 2, which is unheard of at other prince tea house locations and even fancy restaurants! read more

My go to place for catching up in Bensonhurst - nice atmosphere and something for the kids. I love how easy it is to make a reservation via google. Highly recommend the rose milk tea where you can adjust the sweet level and my kids love their slushy. For apps: the buffolo chicken has a crispy skin and is juicy on the inside - it's tasty in itself but also comes with a ranch and siracha mayo dip on the side. I like their sweet potato fries and fried shrimp lollipop too. The purple crepe cake for dessert is very filling, and I tend to get this here since lots of places don't sell this. As I was looking for a venue to host my baby shower, I thought about this place because it has a beautiful back area. Shirley, who took care of us for the planning and the day of the event was amazing! She was extremely helpful during the booking consultation and on the day of the event. Shirley made sure everything was perfect. Helped us choose some of the most popular menu items, gave recommendations on how to serve the food and drink options. For reference, there is a rental fee, a minimum spend and a cake cutting fee. The back area can comfortably fit 40 people. I wouldn't recommend more than that because some of your guests will not be able to sit and walking space will be limited. The venue is extremely cute and the food is good. I wouldn't say is the best, but it does the job. I have been here countless times and is always a good place to hang out, catch up with friends and now I know it's a great place to host a party. Came here for a friends birthday and also to try out the Brooklyn location (since koreatown locations are great) Upon arrival the interior is cosy, enough seats for a few groups. we got sad down quickly and our orders came out quickly too. Prince Tea House is ALWAYS aesthetically pleasing. So pretty on the inside and the backyard is even better. The staff is always sweet and welcoming. I tried the shrimp lollipops this time and they were so nice and crunchy. They were fried just right. It comes with a side of tartar sauce. I absolutely loved this and would get them again. Prince Tea House... always the excellent vibe of the environment. Food is always the same not much to say there. I would usually give Prince Tea House a 4 or 5 star but this visit I had recently was very disturbing. We had order food and been there for maybe an hour or so and we were waiting to order dessert too. While being the only ones there the waiters were turning on and off the music and just standing there behind our table. Making it seem like they were listening into our conversation. It was really disturbing and they kept side eyeing us. Made us rush to eat and want to leave. Not only all of that when I asked for the check I noticed that the 18% tip turned into a forced tip as in gratuity. Sad to be writing this review because I truly love Prince Tea House (in any location) and always like coming here because of their tea and food. Today however was not that day. I understand that large party gratuity is mandatory nowadays to help struggling hospitality workers, but lets be real... that was made for times that restaurants are busy and cannot attend to each table they have. We came at 3pm when there was only one table that were already finishing their meal. How is it that we had to ask our server for our water 15 minutes after we had our order in, we had to ask for our tea that was not brought to us even when the food had already came in and there were barely any service done to us. To expect an 18% tip when there was no service at an empty restaurant is outrageous. If you expect us to tip you automatically, we also expect 18% of that service. I dont care if you dont engage in a friendly banter or ask us how we are, not looking for a conversation but at least give us decent service. 86 st has other nice tea houses around, might be better to give your 18% to those places instead of here. My friend and I needed to share some tea after an exhausting New Year. So, after some Omakase we went to get a nice sweet dessert! Food: 3.5/5 I ordered the chicken and waffle and my friend the Fruit toast. Candidly, my chicken (super dry) was just diced up crispy chicken patty (the same they use for their katsu sandwich) on a waffle. No salad either, not getting again. My friend's toast though was delectable! I made sure to eat all of the fresh banana while helping her clear her plate. Of course, we got tea! She got the rose milk and I got the Pu'er. Thet were both great, but I definitely favorited my choice. Service: 4/5 I have gone to many Prince Tea locations in NY, but this is the first time I have seen one with an enclosed back extension (see my pic). I was tired after a long day, so just wanna chill. Sat down order a iced bubble tea. It was ok. I asked the lady if I can seat inside, she said it's full. And will let me know when it's open up. So I decided I will order food later when I go inside. In the meantime I walked around, take pictures, made some tiktok, used the restroom. It was clean & nice. And went in the back to see if any seats were empty & my surprise there were plenty of seats . And the whole place was all together pretty empty too. I stayed there for more then an hour, I saw 2 couples came by without reservations & they asked if they can seat inside & if they neeed reservations? She said no no we had space ! Wth... I have no idea if it's a racist thing or just because I didn't order that much expensive stuff I wasn't important enough to seat inside ! Btw inside isn't that cool anyways So I asked her again & she said no! After a not so great experience at the Flushing PTH involving sickeningly sweet rose milk tea, I had my reservations about the Brooklyn PTH too. I stopped by with a friend after dinner though, and I can definitively say that the Brooklyn location is so much better! Out of an abundance of caution since my last experience, I ordered the rose milk tea with 50% sugar and it was actually really enjoyable! I think I might take my chances with 70% next time, since this PTH seems to have their sugar levels down. I also ordered the mango mille crepe cake - the cream was really light & overall flavors were decent. Service is quick after placing orders through the QR code at the table. We asked to remove it and told them that we always leave tips but we don't accept the fact that they tried to force it on us. I stopped by on a Sunday night for dessert. We ordered a dessert trio to share and everything was great! We ordered both of the creme brûlée and the red bean pâté choux. I asked "can you add more coffee, it's so milky" (look at the pic) he says giggling "oh we already add 2 shots of coffee" I said "only 2 shots?" (Annoyance #2!). Some advice "PTH" ALWAYS ACCOMMODATE YOUR **PAYING CUSTOMERS**, what's another shot to you?? The host & waiter muttered something & giggled (they looked like 10 yr olds so I didn't expect maturity or professionalism from these two idiots, anyway. I sipped it as the host & waiter looked at me & I looked at them too & said "Ugh, So Milky". We had ordered the other two drinks as well, very watered down, 1 from the new mocktails list which tasted very perfumey & they love adding a sh*t load of ice. The fruit toast we ordered had burnt edges all around (annoyance #3) & lots of bananas (of course put more of the cheaper fruit) we're in the middle of the Summer tons of other fruit available. We've been here & the other location, many times before & we can see there is no more care put into it & they really don't care about the customers. Don't bother ordering the food here either, the only thing that is decent are their hot teas! This Asian chain is trying to be an "upscale European cafe" but you can't be seen as that with the cheap quality ingredients, not listening to your customers & having lazy service. ALSO (annoyance#4)..they had the audacity to add their tip already to the check (we were just a party of 2, usually that happens for a large group) the way it's included is hidden making you think it's not included, sneaky & shady! I loveeeee this place so much. It's such a cute vibe and the desserts are delicious! I've tried so many of them. My goal is to try all at some point. My favorite is the brown sugar boboa crepe cake and the purple yam crepe cake and soufflé. The customer service is also excellent. Everyone is friendly and accommodating. My favorite person is Shirley at they brooklyn location :) she was so welcoming, friendly and funny! She really was the cherry on top of my visit today. I highly recommend. Went here to celebrate a birthday with a group of people. We ordered all foods savory and many of the crepes and chocolate sweet items. All of the food came out at one along with the various teas and we all enjoyed drinking the tea and eating all things savory and sweet. We were all seated in long connected tables and there was music playing. It was a bit difficult to socialize with the people in the other end of the table as I was in one end, overall it wasn't bad. I love Prince Tea House and I am happy for their success. I remember when the one in 8th avenue opened and it was very popular and everyone loved the aesthetic. Unlike the 8th avenue location, this location by 86th street has more parking available. Both metered and free parking is available, but metered is easier to find. Prince Tea House is a cute little hang-out spot that gives off a friendly relaxed atmosphere. The teas are very cute and taste delicious. I usually get their crepes or fries as well which are also delicious! They are doing the contactless ordering, by having you order online with your phone. You simply go on their site and put your seat number and they will receive your order and bring it to your table once it is ready. When you are finished, you can request your receipt at your table or go to the front entrance for your receipt and pay on your way out. The only negative factor of this Prince Tea House location is that there is a $25 minimum to use card or they charge you an extra dollar. It's illegal to imposing credit card minimums higher than $10 in New York. But I was not going to argue with the employee as they are not the ones who set the credit card minimum and they are only there to enforce it. tl;dr - cute cafe, lots of (paid, some free) parking in the area, delicious desserts and teas, $25 minimum to use card. read more

I typically order sweets from Prince Tea House such as waffles, cake slices, and pastries along with tea. However, I decided to go for lunch this time and was extremely disappointed. I ordered the "Turkey Club Sandwich" and substituted the side salad for twister fries, and ordered an iced peach black tea as well. The iced tea was delicious as always - but the food itself left much to be desired. Their "Turkey Club" sandwich is NOT a club sandwich so I'm not quite sure why they call it that. A club sandwich is a DOUBLE DECKER sandwich (with an additional slice of bread in the middle), however this was just a plain sandwich. A Turkey club sandwich in particular is also defined as a double decker Turkey sandwich WITH bacon lettuce tomato and Mayo - basically a blt with an additional slice of bread and Turkey. What I received was just a plain Turkey sandwich - no extra piece of bread in the middle and no bacon. Just a normal Turkey sandwich with lettuce tomatoes and mayo. It was only one slice of Turkey, and mostly lettuce, which was an extreme letdown considering it costed me $13 for my meal (not including the drink). My friends who joined me also though the food was "just okay." I would return, but only for dessert. With all the amazing food places in the neighborhood, I would rather go elsewhere for lunch! read more

After a filling lunch, it was time for dessert! When we arrived, we were the only ones in the place. There's a contactless thermometer and we also had to record our name and telephone (I guess in case contact tracing was needed?) We got the rose milk tea and boba mille crepe cake. I saw that their dessert offerings were a bit less compared to the last time I came. Mostly just crepe cakes, fruit salad etc. The rose milk tea came in the prettiest tea pot with floral teacups, saucers and the little stirring spoon. I like it! I didn't really taste the rose flavor too strongly which was a plus in my book because I like the milk tea taste more. The crepe cake was interesting. The waitress explained to us how to assemble it. First pour the salt milk foam then the bubbles on top. It tasted really good! Pricey but tasty. As we were almost done and just chatting, more and more people came in...uh let's just say more than 25% capacity (given how many tables were in the place). They only accept cash at the moment so we paid quickly and left. The waitress was really nice and checked on us occasionally. I think the boss was there too and he thanked us for visiting. The décor has been updated a bit since my last visit. It used to be more green in the place. And now it looks a bit more modern like a fancy restaurant's dining room specifically for desserts. read more
