    Black Sesame with Almond Soup
    Shirley H.

A late night Hong Kong treat. I love soupy desserts and glad they're opened after dinner. The service was hectic for 1 server managing the entire cafe, so the service was mediocrely understandable. There are many small tables and tables combined for groups. I got a cold black sesame with almond and the black sesame taste was weak. The almond was fine and tasted better hot. I love desserts after dinner, but will probably try something else if I do come back.

Food is not bad and a good amount of varieties. Service was great and super friendly staff. I enjoy my visit. Very cute ambiance

Delicious mango pomelo sago dessert was amazing!

Love this HK dessert place! I was so happy to hear the server speak real Hong Kong dialect, so this place is legit! There was so much desserts to choose from but we opted for: 1) Steamed ginger milk pudding, 2) Green bean w/ kelp, 3) Mango Pomelo Sago, 4) Creme brulee souffle pancake. The steamed ginger milk pudding was amazing! This was 1 of the desserts I missed from Hong Kong. This dessert was the closest to the HK one. It was so gingerly and custardly - just the way it is supposed to be. It had the right amount of sweetness & the texture was nice. Even my mom loved this dessert. I would come back to reorder this in a heartbeat. Green bean w/ kelp dessert - I think this is something the older generation would order. I didn't really like it as it just tasted like green bean & kelp - nothing special. Mango pomelo sago was amazing as well! I would also reorder this! This was so fresh & with the right amount of sweetness. Super super delicious! I think this was the best mango pomelo sago I have eaten in NYC so far. Creme brulee souffle pancake - this takes 30 minutes to make & the server will tell you if it's ok. The pancake was soft and tasted good but it was not the best I have eaten (eating the best one from Japan messed up my taste buds LOL) Tons of seating inside. Service is a bit slow w/ 1 server. Cute decor & tons of HK desserts!

Red & White (red bean soup with lotus seeds and tofu pudding).

If you love Meet Fresh, Mango Mango, and Prince Tea House, you'll dig this cute dessert spot boasting pink-heavy decor, plentiful seating, and a massive menu of hot and cold treats alike. They also have a few savory dishes. I enjoyed my White & White (almond soup and tofu pudding) with taro balls, which had just the right amount of sweetness. The Ovaltine toast was also tasty, although the milk inside was a little thick and sweet for my taste. It all went well with the vanilla ice cream though. My friend also liked her Red & White (red bean soup with lotus seeds and tofu pudding). We went down a Google rabbit hole trying to figure out what the dessert ho fun was, and my partner ended up getting it with osmanthus noodles, milk tea, watermelon, taro balls, and mini rice balls. He loved it, and we were all pleasantly surprised that the "noodles" were really just thicker, jelly-like strands. Great to have another late-night dessert option in the area. I'll be back to try the coconut shaved ice and soufflé pancakes... and maybe the spicy chicken feet as well!

Didn't have a good experience, probably because we arrived 1.5-2hrs before closing. They were out of some options and the desserts looked sloppy when served (see pictures). As for the taste, the desserts were okay, but definitely not pleasing to look at.

I've been wanting to try Kowloon Tong for a while but held off because of the subpar reviews. Sad to say that I agree with people's overall rating, though I do give KT props for the decoration effort and big menu. I always feel like it's a rip-off getting HK desserts in NY because of the priciness, so I tried to get things that aren't easily available at other spots or easy to make at home. Kowloon Tong ho fun - creative format of mimicking a bowl of ho fun and selecting the soup base and toppings. You get to choose the flavor of ho fun (coconut jelly or osmanthus), soup base (coconut milk, ilk tea, mango juice), base (sago or grass jelly), fruit topping, and 2 more toppings. Since I've had the coconut noodle dessert in HK before, I went with osmanthus. But I think coconut would've tasted better. The floral notes also didn't match the milk tea soup base I chose. Overall, I don't recommend the milk tea because it felt like I was drinking milk tea with toppings from a bowl. I think coconut milk would've been the best choice to make it feel more dessert-like and less beverage-like. My bowl also had mango, milk pudding, and mini rice balls. I give this a 3/5. For almost $13, you get a lot of stuff. However, if you don't select bases and toppings that go well together, your dessert might not taste good. Moreover, I couldn't say that any aspect of this dessert was really delicious and that I'd want it again. Strawberry creme souffle pancake - do NOT get. This has to be the worst souffle pancake I've ever eaten at a restaurant. And trust me, I've had my fair share of souffle pancakes in the U.S. and abroad. My husband is not a professional chef by any means, and this literally tasted like the souffle pancake he tried to make at home. It was a big fail because it did not have the airiness and fluff that souffle pancakes are supposed to have. It was also very densely eggy. The strawberry creme also tasted very artificial in a saccharine way, similar to those boxed strawberry shortcake rolls from American supermarkets. I honestly don't think I would've minded as much if I didn't have to wait 30 minutes for it. This wait was told to us in advance, and we were ok with it. However, to wait 30 minutes for a disappointment was really a waste of time. 2/5 Since my experience was pretty underwhelming, I don't think I would come back again.

Spicy Lemon Chicken Feet, Matcha Tiramisu, Grape Fruit Yakult, Grape Tea
    Miranda L.

price - $35 including tax and tip food - 4/5 service - 4/5 ambiance - 5/5 overall, the food was alright! the chicken feet was definitely on the harder side but the sauce tastes really good! i also got the matcha tiramisu and it wasnt that sweet so i really liked that. the only part i didnt like was that it there was a lot of cream within the tiramisu but either than that it was very flavorful! the grape tea was really refreshing and it tastes like a typical healthy, herbal drink! the grapefruit yakult was definitely my favorite tho! the mixture of yakult and grapefruit was soooo good! the service was pretty good too! the waitress connected with me and commented on my labubu so that was really sweet of her! the ambiance was so chill and nice too! i highly recommend checking this place out!!!

Durian Pomelo with Coconut Shaved Ice
    Irene L.

I ordered the durian with pomelo coconut shaved ice and the grass jelly shaved ice with mini rice balls and tapioca. Paid about $20. The shaved ice was almost all melted. Really disappointed. The presentation wasnt good but it taste better than it look. The flavors of the durian was very good and it was creamy. The grass jelly and the rice balls were good. Service was slow. The inside was spacious.

    Strawberry Souffle Pancake

I came here for dessert after dinner on a Thursday night with a group of 10 people. The place has a lot of seating so it's ideal for large groups. We ordered many desserts: hot/cold soup, shaved ice, ginger milk pudding, ube basque cheesecake, strawberry souffle pancake, matcha waffle, and fruit toast. I have to say out of all the desserts, the souffle pancake was the best. It was light and fluffy with fresh strawberries. The ginger in the milk pudding was pretty strong so only get it if you really like ginger. I wanted tofu pudding but they only have it on weekends. Service was friendly and fast. This is probably the best dessert option in the area since they have a good variety of desserts and lots of seating. Prices were reasonable. I would definitely come back!

Actually really impressed! It might be a hit or miss depending on your items ordered, but I went for their signature/special, which is the "ho fun" or noodles, and I enjoyed the taste and the aesthetics of it! Kowlong Tong Ho Fun: there are many components to ordering this! And it's very customizable too so have fun and cater to what you like to eat. First, you decide on the flavor of the ho fun/noodle - I asked the water and he said the osmanthus oolong flavor is the most unique, which I definitely agreed. Next is your "soup" base, which I think coconut milk is usually a good base for these Asian desserts. After those two, you have to select another base, your fruits and toppings. It's a whole process! I really enjoyed everything all together, but depending on what you get, some items will definitely be on the sweeter side. I especially loved the osmanthus noodles, which was very light and a bit floral. The milk tea pudding was sweet but yummy, and the fruits are very fresh too. Presentation for this is so cute! I'll definitely be back to make another noodle dessert, with different components and trying different flavor jelly.

The place was pretty, and the waitress was kind. The Souffle Pancake took 30 minutes, but the waitress warned us, and it was worth the wait! There was also a cute, friendly Samoyed dog there.

Handmade Taro Balls and Grass Jelly with Coconut Shaved Ice. Not bad, very lightly sweetened
    Doris C.

Mixed feelings about this place. I was hoping to eat inside, but there was no AC and it was hot/humid. The shaved ice to go was good but the portion was not worth $8.50. Even $7 would be pricey for the value. Then the black sesame soup was so bad and for 8.50, I was appalled by the quality. No flavor and just full of thickeners. I could make better with a supermarket packet. Pretty disappointed and won't be returning.

Finally, another HK dessert place in the neighborhood that isn't Mango Mango LOL. My friends and I were so excited to come here and we're glad we did ASAP. The purple yam is probably the best purple yam Ive had in the US. They also give a generous amount of it unlike Meet Fresh. Their sweet potato balls are also so QQ. My friends and I also got the souffle pancake and it was super good. The strawberry cream tasted really bright and fresh on the soft, airy pancakes (and they jiggle). The customer service is okay. But my friend did warn that their take out isn't great.

I came in here, and the place was absolutely buzzing, with groups of people enjoying their late night desserts- a testament to how much we needed this spot to just open and thrive and exist. I don't personally like cream Kenafa so I haven't really tried anything off their menu yet, but the Dubai chocolate crêpe is really calling out my name, and I am just going to bite the bullet and try it one of these days. I did go in to sample their Dubai chocolate. As a chocoholic, I am on a low-key search for the best Dubai chocolate bar in the city. This bar did not disappoint. The filling to chocolate ratio was perfect. However, I do feel that there is an over balance of crispy kanafa in the filling. I think it could use more pistachio cream and be a little on the runnier side. Can't wait to come back and try that crêpe. Until I am able to make that trip back, do stop in and enjoy a sweet treat in this cute little dessert shop. It's also Palestinian owned so you know you are supporting the right people and the right cause while satisfying that sweet tooth craving. What more could a customer ask for?

Anyway, I was in Brooklyn with my brother to see a concert and had just finished dinner. We had some time before doors opened so we decided to grab a little ice cream before heading over to the venue. Farmacy was steps away - it all seemed like it was meant to be, so off we went. Farmacy aims to capture the nostalgia of an old fashioned soda shop and ice cream parlor. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by aesthetics - the tile, fixtures, and decor totally give off that vibe. There are a few tables to sit as well as a large bar area with stools; I also noticed a few tables set up outside as well. The traffic flow is set up so that you order first and then have it served to you after sitting. Browsing the menu, I noticed they have a selection of ice cream scoops, shakes, egg creams, specialty sodas, hot chocolates, and a large variety of sundae creations. Since we were there for ice cream, we decided to split a sundae -specifically the Sir Twix-a-Lot. This was chunks for shortcake tossed in caramel and topped with vanilla ice cream that was coated in a chocolate shell. Overall I thought the sundae was solid - but the combinations of textures weren't my favorite to be honest, mostly with how the shortcake played with the ice cream. It wasn't bad though - the flavors definitely gave the Twix aesthetic. My only other issue with the dish was that because chocolate shell was used, any residue at the bottom was hard so you have to chisel it if you want to savor any last spoonfuls; I guess that comes with the territory. Service was good - everyone was friendly. It wasn't too busy when we were there so we had our selection of seats and our ice cream was ready pretty quickly. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried Brooklyn Farmacy out - they have a large selection so I would definitely return when I'm in the area again.
