Food: This bakery makes a wide variety of onigiris (Japanese-style rice balls) as well as other pastries and buns. The onigiris are delicious and packed with filling. I've tried the crawfish one as well as the mackerel, and I would highly recommend both. Some onigiri fillings include salmon, crab salad, eel, purple rice and salmon, curry chicken, spam musubi, Korean spicy spam, and many more. Service: Staff are friendly and welcoming. Ambiance: The bakery is a good size with comfortable seating and tables if you want to dine in. There are probably about 4-5 tables there. Overall, I would highly recommend this bakery!

I like their concept, definitely not your usual Asian bakery on the 8th Avenue strip. They have a good selection of rice balls, creative buns, and coffee. I haven't settled on a favorite bun yet. I tried their black sesame chestnut bun, it was fine, not bad, but not something I'm rushing back for. Some of the rice balls can be a bit heavy on the rice. The spam musubi seems to be the most popular with kids. I find myself grabbing the purple rice kani and the yuzu mackerel the most. The neighborhood itself is crowded if you're walking or driving but the store inside is bright, spacious, and inviting. Overall, a solid, reliable grab and go spot if you want a quick bun or rice ball.

Was strolling through 8th ave and came across this place on around 11:00am in the morning on a sunday. Would say this is more one half onigiri/one half bakery. They have a huge variety of onigiri that ranges from $2.50-$4.00 and refill them pretty quickly as they run out. The bakery items are very interesting as they are not your typical chinese bakery buns. I got the chicken teritaki and crab salad onigiri and the flavors were good. The rice is seasoned already and there is a just a good amount of filling. Would definitely want to try other onigiri and their bakery items.

Unique rice ball flavors: yuzu mackerel, cumin beef tongue.

Just recently discovered this place and I was shook. I had no idea there was a rice ball heaven in the heart of 8th ave Brooklyn. Rice ball galore!! They had so many unique flavors. I tried the yuzu mackerel ($2.75) and the cumin beef tongue ($3). But also got my classic eel with purple rice ($2.75) to try. There is a lot of rice in the rice balls, but the meat was decent as well. I feel like most onigiris are made like this though. Unless I make it myself, I feel like the ratio of rice to meat will never satisfy me haha. Flavors were good though! I have to come back and try other flavors like the beef sukiyaki and butter chicken. Price was so good too! They also had bakery breads along the wall, but I didn't get any. Maybe next time and then I'll update my review. They looked fluffy and unique flavors as well.

Dunno why I didn't find this place sooner in life!! Being hungry and not knowing where to eat, I happened to stumble upon this place. Upon entering, I noticed there's nice ample space for customers to sit and enjoy the food. Was expecting the prices to be high, but it was the exact opposite! Ordered 5 onigiri and two tarts and it came out to less than 20$ which is under of in New York. The onigiri was delicious, salmon was my favorite. They tarts were creamy and delicious as well, highly recommend!!

Wow amazing. So glad I popped by to try this. Loved the shrimp tempura. That is the best. Butter chicken was okay but if you like Indian style butter chicken, you may like this. They are thicc and chubby in the best way possible. Filling and yummy. Seaweed is crispy.

Came in here on a hot humid day. Thank god for their AC. I got the Japanese rice and gyokuro drink with brown sugar jelly. I really enjoyed the jelly since it added a good texture to the drink for me to chew on. The drink itself was a bit too milky for me and I did not taste the tea as much as I wanted to. However the price point was fair at only $5! I also got the pineapple bread which was pretty good. Not overly sweet however a bit on the denser side. The cashier did not speak much English but I could tell she was trying her best to help me!

They offer a large variety of onigiri, from spam to beef sukiyaki, salmon teriyaki, chicken curry, beef tongue, and kimchi. The price varies a bit depending on the filling, but they generally fall between $2.5 and $3. We also got egg tarts, dragon fruit mochi bread, and ube bread. The latter two had filling inside.

Ohayo Bread House is my go-to spot for quick lunch in 8 Avenue, Brooklyn. This is where you can get a filling meal for less than $3. They have more than 25 flavors of riceballs according to my observation, including spam musubi. On the other side, they display freshly baked bread and egg tarts. They also have a full menu of drinks. *Butter Chicken Onigiri $2.75 Their onigiri is large and dense, but of course it has way more rice than filling at this price point. I have been eyeing their butter chicken onigiri for a while, and it turned out to be my favorite. The sauce was flavorful. Although there wasn't a lot of shredded chicken, it was enough to eat with the rice till my last bite. *Purple Rice Crab Salad Onigiri $2.75 *Octopus Salad Onigiri $2.75 The purple rice onigiri was still warm when I got it! The texture of purple rice was nice but the amount of crab salad was underwhelming, so as the octopus salad one. *Cranberry Cream Cheese Bun $2.75 They had a lot of baked goods that interested me, like coconut coffee roll, dragonfruit mochi bun and black sesame chestnut roll (sold out when i visited). I got my hands on their cranberry cream cheese bun. The bread size was bigger than my palm. Such a shame that there was only less than 10% filling but it was still a good price afterall. ***Get a discount if you pay in cash.

Was so happy to find a place nearby that sells onigiris. This cafe has lots of baked goods, breads, and bubble tea. I love that there is a wide variety of onigiri flavors. I really enjoyed my milk tea, shrimp tempura onigiri, and spam musubi. There are a lot of baked goods as well, which I would like to try next time. The cafe has a nice relaxing ambiance, with a couple of tables for seating. The staff was so nice and helpful, and it's a perfect spot to grab a snack and a sweet treat!

Fave onigiri spot, sorry yaya's I like their Eel onigiri and they have a Pork one on the right shelf that's really good. There's never any Pork Floss onigiri when I visit!! Hope to try it soon, but I'm not surprised that it's very popular. Inside is very clean. It also looks very new and well taken care of. I also see them sweep and clean when I come by late at night around closing. There are a few seat and a lot of people hang out with cup of tea here. Even my mom said she sits here with a friend enjoying a cup of tea.

Very disappointed at the bread here, even though they are in a low price, but the taste really not go well. I can only says we paid what it is.

There aren't many places in Brooklyn where you can get onigiris so this was such a pleasant surprise on 8th Ave. Ohayo had a good 20+ variations of onigiris and they also sell breads and drinks. Each onigiri is under $3 and you're really getting a bang for your buck. It is very filling and each onigiri comes with A LOT of rice. I got the beef sukiyaki ($2.75) and spicy spam ($2.50) and they were both decent. The rice was seasoned, fillings were flavorful but the seaweed tasted off to me. The seaweed was very bland but for the price, can't really complain. I would definitely come back to try the other options. The workers are constantly refilling the onigiris so they're pretty fresh. The bread options didn't look appealing to me but would try a drink next time. There are a few tables and chairs for dine in but the place is always packed!

Also grabbed a few baked goods: - gf brown sugar corn muffin... lowkey my favorite. Soft, slightly sweet, didn't even feel gluten-free. - earl grey morning bun -- light, flaky, and had that subtle tea flavor without being too much. Everything felt fresh and made with care. Definitely going back.

We arrived at 9:45 and got the pastries at 10:30. The wait was longer because we had to wait for the specials to come out from the oven, otherwise we could've just skipped the line and ordered directly at the counter. *Mango Lassi Croissant $15 Simply amazing. Ngl a $15 croissant should be illegal...but I went speechless after the first bite. SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY I am not even a huge mango lover like anybody does, but WOW this mango croissant was seriously the BEST mango pastry EVER. The pastry shell held flaky and crunchy, and the center was filled with a labneh cheesecake and mango gelee. We were surprised the filling wasn't liquid-y at all and held up well! We also tried the new Artichoke and Green Garlic Foccacia ($9), and the Fennel and Sausage Foccacia ($9). I get their foccacia slice every time I'm here and they never let me down. So pillowy and delicious.

Even though there is a line, you do not feel rushed or pressured to order quickly. On this visit we ordered plain croissant, chocolate croissant-fresh out of the oven, rhubarb croissant, black forest pastry and brown butter corn cake. The chocolate croissant was amazing. It is triple chocolate and cocoa powder is in the dough. It is filled with milk and dark chocolate, so creamy. The plain croissant was flaky and light. The brown butter corn cake was crispy and caramelized on the outside and soft and moist. The Black Forest croissant is a seasonal offering. It is made with their Triple Chocolate Croissant filled with chocolate cake and sour cherries and topped with mascarpone cream , Rhubarb & Custard Croissant . It is tart and sweet. The rhubarb is roasted and complimented with sweet vanilla custard. They all were excellent. Each were about $8. Highly recommend and don't let the line deter you .
