    Peanut butter jelly croissant
    Neha S.

I came during a weekday at like 11 and there was still a line but it is what it is. Because it's so busy I feel a bit rushed when I go here. It's also difficult to see all the items since everyone is packed in a line even when you get into the store. The food itself: - cardamom bun was yummy, a bit too cardamom forward though. 3.5/5 - the pb and J croissant was cool, a bit too rich for my liking but I admire how different it was and I actually had to save this one for the next day and it was still good so 4/5

Stopped by Radio Bakery on a Sunday afternoon. After waiting on line outside for a bit, disappointed that the only items available were the Brown Butter Corn Cake and a couple of sandwiches. Got the Brown Butter Corn Cake which was pretty good. Will need to return earlier to try the other pastries!

Hype understood! Got a large variety of sweet and savory items and I was obsessed with every single one. If there's something you're on the fence for, order it and you won't regret it. Best chocolate chip cookie ever!

Finally checked out this popular spot everyone raves about. Stopped by on a Friday morning hoping to avoid the weekend long lines. There was a line today too that took about 20 min. They carry sweet and savory pastries and a few sandwich options including one vegan option. Sandwiches are $13-15 and pastries start at $6 and up. Once inside you don't have much time to decide as a steady rush of people come in and staff tries to keep the line moving. It's hard to stop and ask questions about bakery items when it's crowded. Staff could have been friendlier. I got a garlic knot croissant and a rhubarb sweet pastry. Both buttery flakey and very good. The garlic knot was my favorite!! No seating inside and no restroom. There are a few small metal tables and chairs if you can snag one. Most just take things to go.

The hype is real but it suck's because so much is sold out by 11. The line moves fast though, I tried the popular Tina sandwich and it was really good had the peppers that have it a kick. I had a sourdough bread loaf and I didn't get to taste it well as it got so hard by the next day it was tough to cut through. I may try them again if I'm ever in that area.

    tomato focaccia, pistachio croissant

we waited 30min in line before entering the bakery. I've heard they have the best focaccias and croissants in nyc so I got one of each. I tried the tomato focaccia and pistachio croissant ($15.24 for both) and tbh they were great in flavor but the textures could be better -- focaccia was more dense than I expected, and croissant was kinda hard outside

Once Radio bakery opened in Prospect Heights, I figured it would be easy ins and outs but the line stays strong. Luckily it does move quite quickly. I have to rave about a sandwich that I never thought I would get, but the sweet pea, mint, and feta is INSANE. It's so bright, yet savory, and it kept be coming back for more. All their breads and pastries are amazing, they have such range in every bite and that's what continues to make Radio a spot to stop at every time.

The tomato/garlic focaccia slice was SO good, worth braving the line for. It was a large slice, bread was super soft, just the right amount of sauce and garlic. It was like an upgraded version of garlic bread. The best savory item I've had at a bakery. I also got the pistachio croissant and triple chocolate croissant. The pistachio croissant was not my favorite, the pistachio filling had an odd medicine aftertaste. The triple chocolate croissant was good, ample amount of filling, pretty flaky, however it wasn't anything I couldn't get at another bakery. The staff handled the line very efficiently and kept it moving fast, they were also really upbeat and courteous

I've heard this place went viral on social media from a friend, so we had to give it a try! Even during a weekday the place was packed, and a small line was forming just to get inside. There were so many good options, but I stuck to a standard chocolate chip cookie which was perfectly sweet and salty! I get the hype and would come back to get more treats! It is pricier but you are getting the quality

This bakery is popular and can have super long lines in the early hours of the morning. I've never encountered that thankfully because I visit a little bit later. My husband has been wanting to try this bakery out for a long time so we finally had the opportunity to go on his day off. The bakery is tiny with minimal seating available. They have a few outdoor chairs and tables but it's the middle of winter and I'd rather not eat outside. We took our orders to go because of the lack of space and seating available. The customer service wasn't the warmest from when we went because they were trying to move the line along even though there weren't many people at the times we went, so if you're introverted or it's your first visit and you're trying to take in the displays, this might be off putting for you. We ordered several items during two separate trips here: the apple brown butter croissant, garlic knot, brown butter corn cake, sausage chive focaccia, smoked salmon sandwich. Smoked salmon sandwich was $15 and contains cream cheese, dill, pickled onion, on an everything spice focaccia. We both enjoyed this sandwich, it's rather large so we split it. The pickled onion and dill were a bit strong, I personally felt there was too much but my husband loved it so be wary of this if you're not obsessed with certain ingredients because they might be too overpowering for you in this sandwich. The sausage and chive focaccia slice for $8 is HUGE. Like a really generous slice of focaccia with crumbled sausage and finely chopped chives sprinkled from corner to corner. It was delicious but way too much for a single serving. Wish they sold a smaller portion because I couldn't finish it. For those with a bigger appetite, this is a really good deal, bang for your buck breakfast. The apple brown butter croissant is like a mini apple galette for $7. This was my favorite pastry and I don't even like apples that much. I am part of the few who don't like apple pies, or cooked apples specifically so I was surprised to like this pastry. The crispiness of the apples, the sweetness from the brown butter with some light saltiness. It was absolutely delicious and I intend to order it every time I visit. The garlic knot was a last minute addition to our order, and a most welcome one. I'm a savory girl to my core so this was a super flaky, buttery, garlicky croissant that was so delicious. It was sizeable, good to split with another person. Another favorite and must order if you love savory pastries. The brown butter corn cake for $5 is gluten free. It's basically a corn bread with brown sugar in it. It was yummy, a bit dry for my liking but still good. If it was more moist it would be akin to a coffee cake but it's on the drier side, but thankfully not the crumbly dry kind. We didn't try their coffees because we're partial to the local Hungry Ghost chain. Maybe next time! This bakery has gone viral on social media hence the long lines. I don't think their pastries are worth a one hour wait though. Maybe 15-20 minutes, sure! A lot of the baked good are also over priced in my opinion, for what they are. I think they have a good arsenal of straight bangers that deserve to go viral but not everything you see on social media is as good as they claim. They can't please everyone but an hour wait for pastries is kooky. I recommend trying them out but try to go past 9am, closer to 9:30 or 10 am to avoid the ridiculous lines.

    Darjeeling cardamom morning bun
    Kathleen S.

I was lucky enough to walk in to Radio Bakery right before noon on Thursday before the lunch crowd arrived. I bought the pistachio bun, garlic bun, darjeeling cardamom bun, and brown butter corn cake. Pistachio bun ($8): Amazing. This was by far my favorite of the lot. The orange zest elevated this to another level. I loved the pistachio frangipan and orange-infused flavor, as well as the pieces of toasted pistachio (with visible zest) on top. Garlic twist ($5): This tasted like garlic bread in croissant form. This was my second favorite item, even though I don't typically go for savory croissants. I loved the strong garlicky taste--enhanced with garlic oil. Darjeeling cardamom morning bun: I regretted this choice. Waaaay too much sugar on the exterior and just overall too sweet and thick for my taste. I also could barely taste the darjeeling taste. Brown butter corn cake: This too was too sweet for me. Even when eaten fresh, I thought it was too hard. The exterior, which I understand was meant to be a somewhat crunchy and caramelized to contrast with the interior, was too hard. The staff was phenomenally friendly, patient, and kind, especially in answering my questions about their various pastries. All the pastries did taste very rich, high-quality, and with great attention to detail.

Radio Bakery is a very popular bakery in Brooklyn. This has been my second time and each time there was a line outside, however it moves quickly and the space inside is very small. Even though there is a line, you do not feel rushed or pressured to order quickly. On this visit we ordered plain croissant, chocolate croissant-fresh out of the oven, rhubarb croissant, black forest pastry and brown butter corn cake. The chocolate croissant was amazing. It is triple chocolate and cocoa powder is in the dough. It is filled with milk and dark chocolate, so creamy. The plain croissant was flaky and light. The brown butter corn cake was crispy and caramelized on the outside and soft and moist. The Black Forest croissant is a seasonal offering. It is made with their Triple Chocolate Croissant filled with chocolate cake and sour cherries and topped with mascarpone cream , Rhubarb & Custard Croissant . It is tart and sweet. The rhubarb is roasted and complimented with sweet vanilla custard. They all were excellent. Each were about $8. Highly recommend and don't let the line deter you .

11/10, I now understand the hype. We came on a frosty Monday for a holiday weekend and were pleasantly surprised that they were still open. We had heard that the "good stuff" runs out pretty quickly, so we arrived at 8:30AM. There's not really much seating beside the bar by the window, but make note that you'll have to take your goodies to go or sit outside on the limited furniture around (probably easier on a warmer day). They had many things on offer, particularly focaccia's; the most appealing one to me, which I got, was the Bacon Egg and Cheese (BEC), but there were also shakshuka and smoked salmon ones. To balance out the savory, I got a double-baked black forest croissant to boot. The focaccia was bomb dot com -- the bottom was nice and crispy without being burnt, while the top was a good balance of gluten and bounce. They were very liberal with the toppings, so just be prepared; I think it could have been just as good with one less slice of bacon and the hard-boiled egg sliced inside, instead of halves, but that's just me. The croissant was really yummy inside -- a layer of pastry with a layer of dark chocolate, ganache, and then cherries atop made for a really nice inside. Unfortunately, the outside became a bit dry and brittle due to the double-baking, hence the dark exterior, but I still think overall it was still something I'd get again. I'll definitely be coming back and trying more things I had my eye on, but I have to figure out when I'm willing to get up so early for my daily bread.

Anyway, I was in Brooklyn with my brother to see a concert and had just finished dinner. We had some time before doors opened so we decided to grab a little ice cream before heading over to the venue. Farmacy was steps away - it all seemed like it was meant to be, so off we went. Farmacy aims to capture the nostalgia of an old fashioned soda shop and ice cream parlor. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by aesthetics - the tile, fixtures, and decor totally give off that vibe. There are a few tables to sit as well as a large bar area with stools; I also noticed a few tables set up outside as well. The traffic flow is set up so that you order first and then have it served to you after sitting. Browsing the menu, I noticed they have a selection of ice cream scoops, shakes, egg creams, specialty sodas, hot chocolates, and a large variety of sundae creations. Since we were there for ice cream, we decided to split a sundae -specifically the Sir Twix-a-Lot. This was chunks for shortcake tossed in caramel and topped with vanilla ice cream that was coated in a chocolate shell. Overall I thought the sundae was solid - but the combinations of textures weren't my favorite to be honest, mostly with how the shortcake played with the ice cream. It wasn't bad though - the flavors definitely gave the Twix aesthetic. My only other issue with the dish was that because chocolate shell was used, any residue at the bottom was hard so you have to chisel it if you want to savor any last spoonfuls; I guess that comes with the territory. Service was good - everyone was friendly. It wasn't too busy when we were there so we had our selection of seats and our ice cream was ready pretty quickly. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried Brooklyn Farmacy out - they have a large selection so I would definitely return when I'm in the area again.

Seating space (not a lot of it, so I imagine it can get packed on busy times) and bathrooms on premises. Hot chocolate was delicious. We got the spiced dark chocolate and the spices were overwhelming. Get dark chocolate without spices. The extra dollar for marshmallow made the chocolate even sweeter, so it was overwhelming and I wouldn't recommend. But. The extra dollar for whipped cream would be nice because the their homemade whipped cream isn't sweet, so it will just thicken up the drink and give you that extra texture oooomph that you'll appreciate. Torino cafe is basically coffee added to any hot chocolate of your choice. That was tasty with dark chocolate. You definitely tasted the coffee and it was less thick than regular hot chocolate (which was on a thinner, sippier side). You can sample ice cream to make your selection.
