Focaccia lox
Halley K.

Worth the hype! Went on a Monday around 10 and there was no line. I went in wanting sweet but switched to the focaccia lox and omg amazing! Great flavor with the dill and pickled onions. The focaccia itself has such great texture and flavor. Staff was very friendly and patient. A few tables to eat outside but an easy walk to the park to sit if there's no space. I'll absolutely be back to try more goodies.

We've now gone twice, we went once on a beautiful morning for to-go pastries in prospect park -- the line was about 10 minutes, moving quite quickly despite appearing long from outside. Pastries were fantastic, fresh and flavorful, both savory and sweet were good. Staff was super nice and it had a really nice neighborhood feel. I went back this morning to pick up a bigger order for a brunch we were hosting; it was raining so I assumed the line wouldn't be there. It was there, almost as long. The patrons love it and are hardy :) Highly recommend for pastries if you're in the area! Really delicious.

blueberry and corn danish ($9) and cheesy pretzel bearclaw ($6.50)

I went to Radio Bakery twice in a week recently and I am not mad about it. Loves: + The croissants are so good. Had the blueberry & corn ($9) and seasonal heirloom tomato ($8) and enjoyed them both. + My personal faves are the cheesy pretzel bearclaw ($6.50) and the shakshuka focaccia slice ($9) + Staff is quick and efficient and the long line outside is well organized The reality with Radio at both locations is there will be a wait. Line moves relatively fast but the slowdown is people deciding what to get, so I recommend looking at the menu in advance. Note about food drops: most items drop at 7:30am when they open, but late morning focaccia (eg. tomato & garlic) drop at 10am and lunch sandwiches drop at 11am!

First time I have walked by and there isn't a like so of course I had to go in. Went with the bacon egg and cheese focaccia. This was delicious but they should definitely keep it on a warming tray or something! It was nice and cheesy with a good amount of the bacon and a whole egg inside. Also had the peach iced tea (doesn't come sweetened but they have options on the bar opposite the register. Service was quick and friendly I was in and out. Grabbed a spot on the bench under the tree to chow down.

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and noticed the line was surprisingly short, so we decided to hop in. We only waited about 10 minutes before it was our turn to order. While they didn't have their full selection available, there were still plenty of pastries to choose from. We ended up getting the vanilla kouign amann and the chocolate PB&J croissant. The kouign amann was flaky, buttery, and beautifully caramelized. The chocolate PB&J croissant was easily our favorite. It was filled with rich, decadent chocolate and a layer of jelly that balanced everything out without making it overly sweet. My significant other hasn't stopped talking about it since! We're already looking forward to coming back to try more.

Radio Bakery... is perfection. I completely understand the line. I first ordered the heirloom tomato & feta sandwich, which was unbelievable. It is so clear that they use incredibly high-quality ingredients and carefully curate each component, which is exactly why everything comes together in such an elevated way. The tomatoes reminded me of the ones I grew in my garden during California summers as a teenager. Perfectly salted, layered over soft, not-too-tart feta. The focaccia was made with beautiful olive oil and, while a bit chewier than I usually prefer, gave the sandwich a satisfying bite. I had to close my eyes while eating it just to savor it. The chocolate cherry almond croissant... wow. Such a creative combination, and it did not disappoint. Soft, buttery, and filled with a sour cherry compote that reminded me of a cherry cordial from a box of chocolates. 5/5. Hainsley, who helped me, was exceptionally lovely. Everyone even in line was very nice, the vibes were awesome. I'll definitely be back to try the spicy tofu sandwich and the heirloom tomato tart!

Very good pastries with lots of options. I went on a Friday morning, waited in line for about 15 minutes, and was still able to get a great selection. I tried their sandwiches--the focaccia with prosciutto and burrata was my favorite, while the ham and rosemary butter sandwich wasn't my favorite because of the ham's texture. I also ordered the cherry cheesecake, which was good but a bit too tart for my taste, and the peanut butter and jelly croissant, which was very good. My favorite, however, was the pistachio croissant. Their croissants are excellent, and I would definitely recommend this bakery.

The only complaint I have of this place is that it always has a long line and there is no inside / dine in service. But I understand why the wait is so long because everything is so good! It's made fresh same day and it's sold until it's sold out. There is not one thing I've tried from radio bakery that I didn't love, it's delicious! And I've gone several times and will be back again. I love it and wish someone would treat me to radio bakery once a month.

smoked salmon sandwich
Melisa M.

love this place!! it is soo yummy which is why it's always busy! You need to get there early in order to make sure you get the smoked salmon it's so good. There's a line that forms outside to go one by one. The staff is always so friendly and nice though! It definitely gets busy and more stuff sells out. The earlier you get there the better.

I see the hype for radio bakery. Hate that there's always a line but it does move quickly enough and once in there, it feels like there's no rush. We pretty much got one of everything except the sandwiches and they were all amazing. Particularly liked the cornbread, all the Croissants and the garlic bread. That feels like I've said everything and that's pretty much correct. There's some sitting my the entrance window and some outside as well but we got our order to go. Also got the ham rosemary sandwich and maybe I was just really hungry but it was also so good. Hope one day it's less busy when I catch it but absolutely loved it.

Peanut butter jelly croissant

I came during a weekday at like 11 and there was still a line but it is what it is. Because it's so busy I feel a bit rushed when I go here. It's also difficult to see all the items since everyone is packed in a line even when you get into the store. The food itself: - cardamom bun was yummy, a bit too cardamom forward though. 3.5/5 - the pb and J croissant was cool, a bit too rich for my liking but I admire how different it was and I actually had to save this one for the next day and it was still good so 4/5

Came here on the walk to lunch and saw a short line for once, so had to try it. There was a PBJ and Chocolate croissant, so I had to try it. Even though it was almost $10, it was amazing. Good PBJ layer on top of rich chocolate. Would come back again!

Darjeeling cardamom morning bun

I was lucky enough to walk in to Radio Bakery right before noon on Thursday before the lunch crowd arrived. I bought the pistachio bun, garlic bun, darjeeling cardamom bun, and brown butter corn cake. Pistachio bun ($8): Amazing. This was by far my favorite of the lot. The orange zest elevated this to another level. I loved the pistachio frangipan and orange-infused flavor, as well as the pieces of toasted pistachio (with visible zest) on top. Garlic twist ($5): This tasted like garlic bread in croissant form. This was my second favorite item, even though I don't typically go for savory croissants. I loved the strong garlicky taste--enhanced with garlic oil. Darjeeling cardamom morning bun: I regretted this choice. Waaaay too much sugar on the exterior and just overall too sweet and thick for my taste. I also could barely taste the darjeeling taste. Brown butter corn cake: This too was too sweet for me. Even when eaten fresh, I thought it was too hard. The exterior, which I understand was meant to be a somewhat crunchy and caramelized to contrast with the interior, was too hard. The staff was phenomenally friendly, patient, and kind, especially in answering my questions about their various pastries. All the pastries did taste very rich, high-quality, and with great attention to detail.

But this review is about something bigger than dessert. The strawberry cheesecake here reminds me of my mom. It was her favorite, and it was one of the last desserts I got to share with her. Anytime she wanted a sweet treat, that's what she asked for. Ordering it now keeps me connected to her. This past July, on her 3rd birthday in heaven, I placed an order to celebrate her. The menu only had cherry cheesecake that day, so I wrote a note explaining what the strawberry meant to me. The staff didn't just make it happen, they sent an extra slice of strawberry cheesecake on top of it. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare. The people here have always been this kind. We love everyone who works there, and we're grateful for the small moments of care they've shown our family. Thank you for everything.

Really great Donut Shop in Greenpoint Brooklyn, with the Old Skool Polish Neighborhood Vibes…read more The Donuts here are FANTASTIC - huge selection, super sweet & highly caloric but if you're gonna go for it, you'd be hard pressed to find a better spot! There's usually a line to buy donuts but they have tons of women working behind the counter in their retro smocks, filling orders & slinging pastries. Cash Only! No credit cards or mobile payments accepted. They do have an ATM onsite if you don't have cash on you (not that rare these days - I've been caught lacking here from time to time...). Perhaps the greatest quote ever to sum this place comes from the inimitable Tina Fey who discovered the treats here years ago & had this say @ Peter Pan: "The best doughnut? That's Peter Pan doughnuts in Brooklyn... It's a white-cream-filled powdered doughnut. And I really believe, when I first tried it, if I had a penis, I would put it in this doughnut. I finally understand what you guys are thinking about and what motivates you guys." She's not wrong...
