There's several Asian bakeries located close together on this block, so I decided to walk into this bakery and find different varieties of buns and cakes. Buns and cakes are all placed behind the enclosed display window; found this Pull-Apart Croissant bun (4.25), that tasted really good. The bread is a mix between a buttery croissant, shaped like a round loaf of bread. For the namesake of this bun; the satisfaction of pulling apart each layer, makes every bite that much more delicious. There are some other cute and different varieties of cakes and breads, though each time I visit I still would go for the pull-apart bread. This location has some seating along the side of the store. Overall, a good bakery on this block

Great pastries with a beautiful storefront! It is self service with plenty of seating. 4.7/5 American Biscuit ($3.75): Incredible lamination on the bun, loved the tangy sauce, lettuce/cucumbers/tomato + chicken made it almost like a lunch sandwich! Would absolutely order again! 4/5 Taro Mochi Croissant ($3.5): a bit breadier for a croissant, enjoyed the glaze and almonds on top. Generous mochi filling and the taro paste was delicious. I will definitely be making additional trips here to try other pastries!

Came here on a weekday to get a milk tea. The service was very nice for sure, super attentive. Decor; everything was super pretty and instagram worthy. Their bread, pastries and cakes, looked soo cute and delicious. Their milk tea; 3.5/5- they use all powder for this tea and it didn't make my stomach feel good after drinking it. I would not get this again. Tip; does not have a bathroom & $10 minimum for credit card. Overall; I would come back to try their other items they offer just not the milk tea.

This is their 2nd location in the area and this one is conveniently close to me. The inside is nice and bright with ample seating. They have a great selection of unique breads, making it very difficult to narrow it down to a few. The bread here is a little pricey compared to other bakeries in the area ranging around $3-5, but I think it's worth it. All the buns I've tried here have been soft, pillowy, and delicious. I ended up choosing a taro mochi croissant, new orleans chicken bun, blueberry story, and another taro bun. The taro mochi croissant and new orleans chicken bun are a must-try! The croissant was crispy on the top and soft on the inside. The taro and mochi worked so well together. Everything about it was just divine. I selected the new orleans chicken bun because it was just too damn cute! They really shaped the bun to make it look like a drumstick. I had doubts about the amount of chicken they'd put inside but was shocked to really find a drumstick in there. The chicken was nice and flavorful with a bit of a kick. Already planning to go back tomorrow to try a few more buns!

It is a very cute bakery shop that sells different kinds of pastries. You first grab a tray, line it with parchment paper, grab a tong, and then you can get whatever bread is available to you. There is a variety to choose from. The interior is very simple and cute. I do recommend this place.

Across the street from Paris Baguette is the newly opened Barley Time, a Chinese bakery and dessert shop with a layout much like that of French-Korean bakery chains. You grab a tray, a sheet of wax paper, a pair of tongs, and pretty much self-serve bread and pastries before getting in line to pay. The space is beautiful and immaculate with plenty of seating, though very crowded since it's the first week of opening. They currently have an ongoing promotion till Monday 9/25: 15% off everything except cakes. We've tried several of their breads and pastries, but the Taro Masala Kosher is what has me coming back every single time. I mean, taro + mochi + croissant -- need I say more? The croissant is just so incredibly light, buttery, and flaky, pairing perfectly with the delicately sweet taro paste and sticky mochi inside. Other great options include the Taro and Salted Egg and Sticky Rice Cake.

This is Barley Time's new location on 8ave. They have another location on 59st 7ave. Decor is similar. I've tried their cakes before so I decided to stop by the 8ave location to see what Christmas cakes they have. Not much options on display but I would say their Christmas cake designs are a lot cuter than Paris Baguette or Tous Le Jours on 8ave. Got a small strawberry cream cake for $45. Taste is OK, but not as great as past cakes I've had from their 7ave location. Not sure if it's because the cake is from display or if it's a location problem. Was able to pay and go pretty quickly.

This place definitely lives up to the hype! The food here is amazing, and when I say food, I mean…read moremore than just the baked goods. Starting off with the baked goods, the brown butter corn cake may be the single best pastry I've had in my life. It has a great crispy exterior and a super moist and decadent interior that just makes it the best pastry you could ever ask for. I also think they have one of the best chocolate chip cookies in the city, and their cinnamon roll is light yet executed perfectly. In addition to their pastries, their sandwiches are amazing. My favorite is this chili crisp tofu sandwich. It is packed with great flavor, perfectly tender tofu, and is layered between two pieces of delicious bread. I also love their arugula burrata prosciutto sandwich that is paired so nicely with their focaccia, making each bite the ultimate experience. While I've never waited in a really long line, I can say that they do move pretty efficiently. Unfortunately, there isn't much room to eat inside, but on a nice day, if you can grab a table outdoors, it's a great experience in the lovely Greenpoint neighborhood.

Sandwiches include rosemary butter and ham, tuna fish, roast beef, burrata and prosciutto, and more. We tried the roast beef with chimichurri, a blueberry pastry, and pistachio croissant. All three items were high quality and delicious! Items are a bit pricey (those three items totaled about $37), but the quality definitely justifies the prices. All of the baked goods were beautiful and looked perfect. If you are in Greenpoint, I would recommend you stop by this bakery. Service: Staff are extremely friendly, pleasant, and welcoming. I was still deciding when it was my turn in line, and all staff members were patient and encouraged me to take my time. Ambiance: The bakery is small with about four counter seats along the window, but there are plenty of tables and chairs set up outside. There's nothing special about the ambiance, but it's a nice place to hang out and enjoy your sandwich or pastry. Overall, I would highly recommend this bakery!

Even though there is a line, you do not feel rushed or pressured to order quickly. On this visit we ordered plain croissant, chocolate croissant-fresh out of the oven, rhubarb croissant, black forest pastry and brown butter corn cake. The chocolate croissant was amazing. It is triple chocolate and cocoa powder is in the dough. It is filled with milk and dark chocolate, so creamy. The plain croissant was flaky and light. The brown butter corn cake was crispy and caramelized on the outside and soft and moist. The Black Forest croissant is a seasonal offering. It is made with their Triple Chocolate Croissant filled with chocolate cake and sour cherries and topped with mascarpone cream , Rhubarb & Custard Croissant . It is tart and sweet. The rhubarb is roasted and complimented with sweet vanilla custard. They all were excellent. Each were about $8. Highly recommend and don't let the line deter you .

I tried their sandwiches--the focaccia with prosciutto and burrata was my favorite, while the ham and rosemary butter sandwich wasn't my favorite because of the ham's texture. I also ordered the cherry cheesecake, which was good but a bit too tart for my taste, and the peanut butter and jelly croissant, which was very good. My favorite, however, was the pistachio croissant. Their croissants are excellent, and I would definitely recommend this bakery.
