Clean place, but really just no atmosphere. The general feel of the place is delivering a "barely ready to be open to the public" vibe. I am sure the employees are nice, but most of the orders were either poorly executed or just plain awful. Case in point... My hot drink was given to me cold. If I had wanted an iced coffee then I wouldn't have picked a hot one. Then there's the mochi bite drink that was clearly advertised outside the shop. I figured I can give it a shot but wow, it was disgusting; mainly because it was essentially slurping up sludge. If you were expecting mochi balls like sago then boy will you be surprised. And lastly, not to judge the individual store itself but the brand altogether... What kinda messed up name is this place? It sounds incredibly faux pas no matter how I try to call it so I never do. Please do better! read more

They have a wide range of choices. Easy to order through their kiosk. We really enjoyed the little egg pancake read more

This review is based on their bubble waffles! Did you know Jooy sells bubble waffles? Now you do. I tried pork floss and seaweed and matcha mochi. Both are better fresh, unfortunately I ended up consuming them much later and they lost their texture especially the matcha mochi. The pork floss seaweed was good, I like the slight saltiness to it. A little pricy... at $8.50 each. read more

I have been a regular customer at this store and usually order the same drink with avocado. In the past, they never asked whether I wanted mango or strawberry as the topping -- it was always mango by default. However, during my most recent visit, they gave me strawberry instead. When I asked about it, they told me that strawberry is the default. This was confusing because it had always been mango before. The issue is that I do not eat strawberries. I politely asked if they could remake the drink, but they refused and said it was the customer's responsibility to specify. I was disappointed by the lack of flexibility and customer service. If the topping depends on whichever one the staff decides to use that day, it would be better to clearly confirm with customers when ordering. This is actually the first negative review I have ever written. I even downloaded this app specifically because of this experience. Unfortunately, this was the worst service experience I've had there, and I will not be returning. read more

Easy ordering through the kiosk , staff is helpful also. Love their deals -- a burger, app and drink for roughly $18, depending what burger/app you like. read more

Staffs are friendly. I ordered large lychee dragon fruit & large strawberry tornado from the kiosk. You can enter your phone number and they can text you when the order is ready for pick up (it may be a little delay). Also, you can put your number for loyalty points. Drinks were good on a hot day but don't drink too fast, might give you brain freeze. Would recommend coming here to try. Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambience: 4/5 read more

I got the grapefruit tea and I wished the tea flavor came out a little stronger. I got less sugar hoping to get more of the tea flavor, but unfortunately it tasted a little watered down. However, we also got the popcorn chicken and this was very good. A perfect size to snack on between two people and the chicken had a crispy outside and juicy inside. read more

I am writing this review solely about customer service. I have ordered from JOOY before, and tonight was the first time there was an issue. I had a major craving for a Mango Tornado, which is the only drink I get at JOOY. I know, I just really like boba with slushies. To meet the order minimum, I just get the combo meal, since I enjoy the curly fries and burger. After placing my order at 7:27, I get a call from JOOY at 7:33 informing me they are out of yakult for the Mango Tornado. I am disappointed, so I ask if I can cancel my order, because any alternative I want has yakult in it. The person tells me that I cannot cancel my order because they already made the food. This is incredibly poor customer service. I understand that most people would be fine switching drinks, but on the off chance that's not the case, calling before making anything would be the better option. I did not appreciate feeling pressured into getting something I did not want. I will not be ordering from this location again, but if you are going to the store in-person, the drinks are good. read more

I've ordered from this place several times and I think it's a pretty popular place since it is always busy when I go. For some reason, my drinks always has a burnt taste to it. I ordered it with jelly this time, which I like more. However, I still wonder about the burnt taste. read more

I really like the different options of drinks they have. It is super unique and they make different drinks for every season. My favorite drinks are usually in the fall with the persimmon drink and the osmanthus drinks. Their regular menu is also super delicious. I really like the mango pomelo, lychee dragonfruit and the wonder grape. Compared to the other location, the service in this one was a little more rough. It took a while to get the order and it was a little difficult to order. It seemed like there were also a lot of things that were sold out. I would definitely come here for the drinks rather than the food. The food is fine but doesn't stand out as much as the drinks. read more

Cute boba shop. They have a good amount of seating here and the drinks are pretty good. Prices are similar to other boba shops. They sell everything from sandwiches to fries to wings. The rose jasmine milk tea was delicious. You are able to add on topping. Sugar and ice is adjustable as well. I don't know if I'd recommend the food here simply because the large number of options make me question how good the food would be and how long the food was stored frozen. But I didn't try any of the food here. None the less, cute boba shop for a quick sugary (or non sugary) drink. read more

This place is really really good! The drinks taste so good and the food too I recommend it to everyone. The thing is that there's only one size for the drinks and I think they should put more sizes like small, medium , and large because there's only large but that's fine with me because the drinks are good anyway read more

Came back for the hard-to-find seating in 8th Ave! I love this location in particular also because it's further out from the congested areas of 8th Ave. The AC here was also much appreciated on a scorching hot day. I had the Coco Mango with Oat Milk ($6.75). Yes, they offer lactose-free milk options here! The purple color was apparently dragonfruit, which was intriguing to me given it didn't mention that in the name. It didn't taste like it, although dragonfruit is pretty mild in taste to begin with. What struck me was how refreshingly sweet and tart this drink was! The mangoes, ice, and coconut jelly were so fun to eat! The crystal bubbles, which came with the drink, was that perfect cherry on top. Everyone else's fruit drinks were also super fresh tasting! I'd totally come back to try more of their drinks! You'd have to scan their QR code menu to see, but they surprisingly have a diverse range of summer sounding drinks. read more

Came in to order one Boba drink and waited over 17 minutes. In this part of Brooklyn Chinatown, there are lots of Boba tea shops, you would of thought shops have it down packed by now how to efficiently managed drinks. This is a new branch that just opened up recently. Not only do they make tea drinks, they also make burgers, fried snacks and combo meals. Food delivery service guys were already waiting on line in front of me, same goes with customers whose ordering large amount of dine-in meals. So my receipt ticket was placed all the way down the list. If I knew the wait line was so long, I would've left and come back another day. I ordered the Black tea Boba trio- which consists of Bobas, pudding, and grass jelly in milk tea. I had to stand in front of the counter-staring down the manager and asked can I please get my drink. He turned gave me an annoyed glance and gave me my drink. read more

I hate to be harsh because it's a cute and seemingly new place, but it really just isn't that great. I got the crème brûlée milk tea and it just lacks flavor altogether. Pretty clean and refreshing look to the interior. They have some decent seating options. The spicy chicken burger was pretty good. Nothing too special, but pretty solid. It was flavorful, juicy, and crunchy. The takoyaki was ok, it lacked the essence of a real takoyaki as it was soft, not much volume, and very little octopus. The drinks were good. The dragonfruit tea and the tiger milk tea were both pretty good. Not too sweet. Everything came out pretty fast and the combo is a good price. You get a drink, burger, and snack for about 13-16 dollars depending on which one you choose. Pretty solid place to relax and refresh yourself read more

3 stars for the drink 0 stars for the service I came after dinner, placed an order, and after my credit card was processed, waited about 5 min, and told me the store was closed. Change your business hours if you can't provide basic service. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. read more

One of my favorite bubble tea places on 8th Avenue. I love trying their special drinks because they have so many different combinations. My favorite special drink is the Lychee Dragonfruit and Lychee Long Island. Jooy is also one of the only places on 8th Avenue to incorporate avocado into their drinks. Besides their special drinks, their regular milk tea and fruit teas are also good. Definitely give this place a try! read more

They definitely choose to cater to certain people (asians) faster than others. Hate to say it but if you go you'll notice, they make it very obvious. Waited like 30 mins for my drink (1 taro milk tea, literally 1 drink) Watched other people who came 5 minutes after me to order, get their drinks before mine! Definitely should not come here especially if you want a quick drink! I recommend TIGER SUGAR, VIVÍ BUBBLE TEA they're near by and quick! read more

I came here after dinner without reading the reviews which was probably a mistake because it wasn't the best experience. I got the creme brûlée milk tea and a white peach oolong milk tea; both were alright! No one else was in line before me, but the drinks took about 15 minutes and they ended up getting a drink wrong so the wait was over 25 min )-: Usually when boba shops get a drink wrong, they prioritize that drink to get it out right away, but this place made a few drinks before remaking our order. Sad but I would not come back because there are a lot of different boba options nearby! read more

I don't really like writing reviews but I have to do it today cuz I'm really pissed. There was no one in the front when I walked in, so I was looking at the menu and waited. The guy came to the front didn't greet or say anything to me but staring. Honestly, that was rude and creepy. And of course he didn't say anything after I placed my order. Absolutely horrible customer service. By the way, I'm Asian and they didn't treat me any better since some reviews saying that they were racists. I guess that's just the way they treat people. Great tasting drinks, fast service ,clean and we ordered 12 drinks and everyone loved their drinks!!

The cashier was rude.We honestly didnt even know who the guy is or what was his problem with us we had just walked into the store? But anyway this will be the last time we go there. This is very unfortunate because we would always go to this place but never seen the worker who was working cashier, maybe a new guy? But just for that we will no longer go to this place. Thanks alot read more

Never coming back here ever again! I ordered a regular milk tea and they poured the wrong drink in the cup with the boba, and then proceeded to pour out the drink they messed up and to wash the toppings. First that's unsanitary and second no place does that, and they had the audacity to say they didn't wash the toppings and then proceeded to say something in Chinese thinking I don't understand. That's not very good customer service. Well you won't see me here anymore. read more
