Craving boba green tea.... First time ordering from this location ( see my review for the Bath Beach location) Tiger Sugar never fails to deliver delicious teas. The green tea with boba is so good indeed a double! Love the taste and love that I can adjust sweetness, ice and types of boba. As I " roared" like a Tiger for my IRL purchase at Bath Beach, I'm still roaring! Review for delivery only. read more

Stopped by Tiger Sugar to satisfy my boba craving and grabbed the black sugar boba with pearl jelly and cream mousse - so good! If you're into boba or trying it for the first time, this one is a great pick. Ordering was easy at the kiosk, and my drink was ready under 2 minutes. Friendly staff and such a cute shop with seating too! read more

I like coming to this location. Every time, it's an adventure. From the aunties and uncles noddong when i stroll by in my shield, or the syaff being shocked at my ease at snagging my fav drink (it tastes great), and stroling right out to the busy sidewalk. The quality never slides, but the prices have gotten a bit higher, which is sad. The regular is now $7, and the extra large is about $8. The specialty and featured items wete all sold out, but they are sometime available around other locations. I'm glad the rewards program is citywide now, I'm patiently waiting for the benefits. read more

Tiger Sugar - #4 Coffee Latte with boba, pearls, cream mousse - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Came here a few times because of their hello kitty cup collaboration. First off, they need to have more workers in the front since all of the workers seem to not like their job. For example; when you ask them a question they give you a attitude. Thats why I'm already taking two stars off for this review. Second, I do like how they have a kiosk where you can pay with card . It is used with snackpass and i believe a service fee is charged. The only downside is that if you pay upfront they only say it's cash only. For the hello kitty cups, I do like how everything is super cute. I would buy their merchandise if they had a mug or a bottle with those designs. I also love their new lychee drink, it's not overly sweet and doesn't have that artificial flavoring which is nice. It really matches well with the tea and that's a plus. It's the perfect summer drink-5/5~. Passion fruit green tea ; 5;5 -again, no artificial tasting and it's not sour at all. It's more towards the sweet side rather than the sour. Overall, if they have better attitude, I would come here again. read more

Service is fast. Cash is at the register however there is a self service machine where you can order using card and you can customize your drink. I recommend using the Snackpass app where you can order your drink ahead of time and you get a free regular black or green tea if you buy more than 8 drinks. Look out for deals in the app. The place has some stools to sit while you wait for your drink. Overall, would recommend Tiger Sugar if you need a boba tea sugar fix for your day! read more

Food was very good. I liked it a lot. High quality drinks. Service was hospitable. The ambiance was very nice.

Tiger sugar always hits! I usually stop by here whenever I'm in Brooklyn and craving a brown sugar boba. They are pretty consistent with the other Tiger sugars I've had. I like how you can customize the sugar and ice level when you order online - I'm not sure if the sugar is significantly different, but it gives me a peace of mind! There is only one kiosk to order but you can order via QR code posted on the door to avoid lining up for the kiosk. It does take ~10 to 15 minutes to get your drink depending on how busy it is. Minimal seating inside also. read more

Terrible experience at Tiger Sugar at 8th Ave location. I bought 6pcs cream puff, it says 6pcs for $12. The cashier charged for a total of $16.32. She said there was a promotion before but this is the new price. Please see attached photos and comment if she was right. read more

the egg tart + drink combo is a pretty good deal! I got the strawberry mochi drink and it was really good.

Whenever I'm feeling a little stressed from work I take a stroll and treat myself to some Boba. This location is conveniently located near the N train and local buses. Do not let the hustle and bustle of 8th Ave deter you away from this treat. Service is prompt and you can even order ahead. The register is cash only. Never fear the Kiosk machine is there... to accept card. I recently discovered the magical wonder of bursting boba. I mean Wow and How? As the name suggests, it bursts in your mouth. Such a fun drink, I can see the hype. read more

I came here right after work on a weekday, so it wasn't crowded. The place looked clean. I ordered from the kiosk because I wanted to see what else they have, I find it easier to read everything on the kiosk. I got my brown sugar milk tea with pudding. I didn't really have to wait since the store wasn't busy at the time I was there. I don't know what else to say, but it was very good. I enjoyed every last bit of it on my way home! I find it more enjoyable than the brown sugar bobas from other spots I've tried, usually from other spots theres some sort of aftertaste, but I can't pinpoint what it's from. But there wasn't any from here! read more

Came here after the hype finally died down. There were only two people ahead of me online. But it was also Chinese New Year and it was pouring (but my fiancé had visited a few weeks prior on a nice day and said there was no line then either). I had the most popular one - Brown sugar boba + Pearl with cream mousse. It was good but it's pretty pricey at six bucks (including tax). Ordering is quick but waiting for the drink takes a while . I definitely would have been mad if I had to wait any longer than five minutes for this drink, so I definitely would not have waited on the line out the door when it first opened. It's really not something I'd drink too often, considering the price and the boatload of sugar in it. read more

Tiger sugar is all over the city now, the quality is very consistent. I usually go for their brown sugar milk with pudding since I'm not a fan with the boba. They are offering extra large size for about $1, the order is very easy from the machine and you get a number they will call you to pick up or txt you when it's ready. No need to touch cash or talk to them to get order it's very efficient. read more

If you were deterred by the line that exists all times of day and week at the Flushing location, this Sunset Park location makes attaining the holy grail of brown sugar boba teas more feasible. While the Flushing location is just a tiny window of a stand, this Brooklyn location has a store front and space to wait and drink inside. You can't customize the sweetness or amount of ice here like you can at other boba chains, but the reason is probably because they serve a platonic ideal of what the drink should be. Beautiful streaks of brown sugar stream down the drink, which you're supposed to shake well, after of course you've taken a nice photo. The tapioca pearls are perfectly chewy, the milk tastes incredibly rich, and the drink has the right amount of sweetness. Don't get me wrong though, this is a decadent drink. I never even heard of Tiger Sugar until my friend raved about it. We tried to go to a different location but it was a hot day and the line was so long. Surprisingly there was no line on a Friday afternoon. You can not change the sugar or ice level. I ordered the black sugar boba milk with no foam. The drink itself is so pretty, it looks like a tiger's coat. I took my first sip and was hooked. I even let my friends try it and they all liked it. I should have ordered 2. The drink is a perfect combination of the milk and sugar, no wonder why they don't let you change the sugar level. The boba pearls are cooked perfectly, not too soft or hard. This creamy sugary drink is very satisfying. There is a $10 minimum for using a charge card and a 6 cup limit per person. read more

Tiger Sugar is the origin of brown sugar bubble milk in Taiwan from their website and it is one of the most trendy boba tea shops recently in NYC. Luckily, there was no line when we visited at around 7:00pm on Saturday. We ordered Brown Sugar Boba Milk with Cream Mousse with price $5.99 (+tax). It was pretty decent, the milk with cream mousse was creamy and rich; the boba dipped in brown sugar was well cooked and chewy. Only complaint was too much ice and it can't be adjusted. read more

Best. One. Yet. Huge fan of Tiger Sugar, since my trip to HK & Taipei; love their Brown Sugar Pearl series (more than their boba series). Although it's not 100% (Asia branches still has them beat), it's waaaaay better than what YiFang or The Alley is churning out (so far a total let down for both - cuteness don't make deerioca taste good). The hype is good for Tiger Sugar. Perfect chewy to sweet, not globs or hard AF. The line moves (not as fast as you'd like) so keep yourself occupied. My total wait time was 20 mins. 13 mins on the left line - to order. 7 mins on the right line - to wait for my drinks! Pretty organized and don't worry, no line-cutting allow as someone holds the Tiger card! *wink* Limit 6 per person, so bring a friend if you're having a boba party! Feed your crave - Bestest. Why are people lining up for JUST bubble tea? Things to know: *Tiger Sugar originated in Taiwan and known for their many locations across Asia. This is their Second location in United States, followed by the first one in Flushing, Queens. *Pearls - small tapoica balls/Boba - big tapioca balls Is it worth the hype? Very much. What to get? The most popular is their Brown Sugar Boba with Cream Mousse. You can opt for the small pearls (Brown Sugar Pearls with Cream Mousse) OR you can have it mixed (Brown Sugar Boba + Pearls with Cream Mousse * For these particular drinks, the sugar level will come standard. No customization here. * They might close at 9:30 but at times, they do sell out their last batch of boba before then. That aromatic scent you smell as you enter Tiger Sugar, would be their boba cooked in a large pot of brown sugar. The sides of the cup gets coated with thick syrup on sides, creating "tiger-like" stripes, the cup with syrup is weighted to ensure the correct amount is being used. Next, your choice of boba gets added in. Followed by ice, organic cold milk, then topped with cream mousse. I personally like the Brown Sugar Black Tea Latte with Cream Mousse with 50% sugar. This drink has black tea added to it, so you'll get less "milky" taste and instead a rich "tea" taste. This drink allows you the option of 0% percent sugar or 50% sugar for those that cannot have sweeten drinks. read more

Line has died down since when it first opened. Go around late afternoon (5-6pm) and there's usually no line. However, there is still wait time for your drink while they make it. Honestly, the employees making the drinks work pretty slow, even the girl giving out the orders (which I don't understand 'cause she's literally just bagging the drinks). But I don't blame them since they're probably only getting minimum wage to make hundreds of drinks for crazy bubble tea fans each day. Drink is good if you shake it well. But you mostly just taste sugar. All the drinks are about the same price and only comes in one size. Total comes to $6/drink after tax. The brown sugar bubble tea hype is real, but not $6 real... read more

I'm so glad I decided to check this place out after all the hype during opening day. I went with my cousin on a random weekday. There were about 5 people ahead of us, but the line moved quick. We ordered the regular brown sugar bubble drink ($10 minimum on a card). The wait was not too long either. I think it was around 15 minutes max. Our drinks looks exactly like the photos and I was so excited to try the hyped up drink. I took a sip and OMG it was worth the $5.50. I knew after that one sip, I would not be able to go back to regular bubble milk drinks from other shops on 8th avenue. Tiger Sugar's brown sugar tea was flavorful, creamy, and not too sweet. Tapioca balls were fresh and had a great texture. I cannot believe I've been drinking mediocre bubble tea all these years. Next time I go, I'll try their pearl bubbles (smaller bubbles). I hear they're delicious as well. I also just learned that these drinks do not contain tea at all?? Is that true?? I'd still go because it's so good, but I'll have to do research. read more

I have tried Tiger Sugar in Taiwan a few years ago when it just came out. I was so happy when the 1st Tiger Sugar opened up in Flushing. Due to their success, more shops opened w/in diff neighborhoods. I was very happy when Tiger Sugar opened a shop in sunset park 8th avenue. I love their #1 (their signature black sugar boba + pearl milk with cream mousse). It is always super delicious! I am a big fan of Taiwanese boba sugar drinks & Tiger Sugar is definitely the best tasting one in the NYC market now. Sweetness was just right & it was definitely liquid dessert in a good way. Like Outkast saids "shake it like a Polaroid picture" - my drink definitely tasted better when it was shaked a few times. Staff was very friendly & facility was very clean & they follow COVID19 protocols. There is even a machine on the side if you want to order without human interaction. Highly recommended! read more

Came for the hype and left disappointed. I was walking by one day and saw that there was no line and it was fairly empty inside and thought this is probably my chance to try this. Upon entering, I was not greeted by the cashier and she seemed to be in a terrible mood. I placed my order for the brown sugar boba milk and stood to the side and waited for my drink. Given that it was pretty empty, I still waited about 10 minutes for my drink to be ready. I can't imagine how long it takes when it is busy so prepare to wait! The boba was actually really good. It was very soft, fresh and chewy. What threw me off was the actual bubble tea. It tasted really watered down and didn't have much of a tea flavor to it. Probably will give this place another chance in the future but not worth waiting on line for. read more

I've been to the tiger sugar in 86st and Chinatown as well as this location once before. One new thing I noticed was that this location now has a touch screen where you can place your order and then pay with card or you can go up to the window and pay with cash. After you place your order you go on a separate line and your order number will be called out. I like the taste of the brown sugar boba with pearls and cream mousse. Whenever I pass by this store, I always see a line of at least 10 people. It extends pass the inside of the store, so people have to wait outside. I came here for the first time a few days ago, knowing all the hype around it. I have seen it frequently on my social media. And honestly, I expected it to be overhyped and overrated. I mean I thought it's just a regular milk tea with sugar around the cup to make it look picture worthy. Well, it definitely is picture worthy. The store is certainly well-named as the drinks definitely resembles the patterns of a tiger. Aside from the aesthetics, the drink is very creamy, milky and the boba is very chewy and soft as well. I like the variation of being able to get just the small pearls or the bigger boba. The menu is pretty limited though, as there's mainly only brown sugar drinks and a few lattes. read more

I love the signature Black Sugar Boba + Pearl Milk and Cream Mousee and always will stop by for one if in the area (usually at the Canal st location. ) I have a hard time finding caffeine free options of boba that are not fruity! Especially now that many bubble tea shops are opening later bc of Covid-19, it really can limit this caffeine sensitive gal's options. So this is pretty much my only strong option these days and I couldn't be more for it! I tried the hot version of the signature alongside the cold for the first time. While I enjoyed the hot one too, the flavor wasn't as strong and layered. I don't mind drinking cold drinks when it's cold so I'll keep the iced version as my go to drink, even in winter. She desperately wanted me to try the Black Sugar Milk w/ Boba and Cream Mousse. And so I did. I love bubble tea in general, so honestly any form of it would have made me content. All I'll say is that it was a good cup of bubble tea. I'm not a major sweets fan, but once the ice melted a bit, it was more drinkable. Would I get it again?
