They give you a straw to drink It's better drink from the sippy cup because you get to taste the cheese foam. There are no chairs or tables in the store, just fyi! You can order the drinks via app, kiosks or in person! Another thing I should mentioned because I witnessed a customer was not happy with their drink because of the sugar level, the customer talked to the staff, staff is willing to make another drink free of charge but customer insisting to pay. A few of my friends recommended me this place that opened near me. I was skeptical because tea places feels like a dime a dozen nowadays and drink prices can be steep. However, I have to say, this summer, they have been having a lot of BOGO events that I could not say no to. The only caveat with this place is that there is no online ordering so you can go pickup whenever. You have to go in store and purchase and sometimes before finalizing, they will tell you the wait time (the first time I went for the first BOGO event I heard about, the wait time was 2 hours! so I opted to leave) and the second time, waited on line for about 15 minutes and another 15-20 for the drink. And another time, I purchased and the cashier told me it's about an hour wait time. Overall, I think their service is decent in notifying customers about wait times. Since I live around here, I don't mind stopping by home, doing a few things then head back out. I've tried their matcha drink (pretty good!) and their newest coconut mango blue. When HEYTEA first opened, there were lines around the block. They did a great campaign, pre-opening... they had the entire store posted with their namesake logo telling every tea lover... and there are plenty in Bensonhurst... "coming soon"... hyped up customers came to support at grand opening. Now it seems to have slowed down, easier to mobile order and pick up. Wait was less than 5 mins. I highly recommend ordering on the heytea app first so you don't have to wait so long. I didn't have a particular go-to drink for heytea until recently. It was because they all tasted good in a light, refreshing way despite having dairy/creamy (in the ones I chose anyway). But the triple supreme matcha latte really takes the cake. The fragrant smell of tea in the store is intoxicating. It's a crime for anyone to just walk in, look at the menu, and leave. Service is quick and ordering was seamless. Thankfully my friend and I came before a line started to form. There were a lot of employees behind the counter and it didn't take long for us to get our drinks despite the number of online/app orders. I got the iced matcha jasmine at 30% sugar while my friend got the hot cloud milk tea with cheese foam at 30%. Both of our teas were so decadently creamy and the perfect balance of sweet and earthy. The iced matcha jasmine had a delicious matcha cream on top and the jasmine really came through after I mixed the matcha jasmine. The hot cloud milk tea with cheese foam was great but I found it almost too decadent with the cheese foam. I would definitely get the milk tea to try with regular foam instead. Heytea is another amazing addition to the plethora of bubble tea options that New York offers and really sets the bar for future competition. Unfortunately this store is run by a bunch of teenagers with no responsibility.
