I get the least amount of sugar and it kind of tastes like watermelon juice. It's very refreshing but I wouldn't send it out to compete with the other popular tea chains. This place not only sells drinks but sandwiches and small bites. Their crispy chicken sandwich is recommendable. The sauce is yummy and the chicken is usually juicy. I usually get the combos so I can takoyaki or curly fries with the sandwich. Recently, I tried their egg waffles, which seems to be a newer offer here. When I'm craving something refreshing, I go for the Wonder Grape or Pomegranate Burst. For sweeter, dessert like options, I love the Mochi O Sesame and Mango Pomelo Coco Mango. The Mochi O Sesame with oat milk tastes like black sesame flavored milk with mochi and boba. It doesn't allow customizations, but I'd love it without the boba. The mango drinks have a comforting tong sui vibe. When I need a caffeine pick me up, I grab their Hojicha Latte. I also enjoy their hot food options. The popcorn chicken is solid, the eggy waffle is decent, and the cauliflower and crispy chicken sandwich is a favorite. They have a great combo that includes some of these items. I don't usually frequent bubble tea shops but I find myself heading back to this one whenever I want a sweet treat. I love their strawberry matcha drink simply because I cannot get enough of the combination. And the best thing (I know many places have this so it's not mind blowing but I still love it) is the tailoring of the amount of sugar to my liking as well as picking a milk that won't upset my tummy. I usually order ahead of time so my drink is already made when I'm there. And recently they started making egg waffles too! I love them and definitely would get them again. I used to come here often since I like their favor and they service quick. However, their price go higher and higher... but the service quality get worse. U have to make sure u have at least 1 and half hr waiting time for a drink before u place order. Plus, just found out today that they close the customized option about the ice for most of the drinks. Most of drinks are fixed ice and no other option. If ur ice quantity is reasonable, yes , I will understand. The point is ur drink is crazy filled up with ice! I am coming to buy drink, but not buy ice! I do not recommend this place at all and won't be coming back ever again. I got served RAW chicken in my grilled chicken burger and that is unacceptable. While eating my burger I realized that the chicken was pink and could not believe it when I realized the chicken was literally uncooked in the middle of the grilled chicken patty. Was so disgusted and wanted to throw up. I alerted the staff and they told me they'd make me a new one but at that point would I even want a new one and did not trust the chef. This is actually unacceptable as this could make the customer really sick. I ended up getting a full refund for my order after asking for one but honestly I'm super upset and disgusted this happened. Turns out, it was my drink. When I asked the male staff with the glasses if my drink is ready, they found out the forgotten drink was mine and they quickly put the cup in the sealer machine and gave it to me. No apologies no nothing. I asked if they forgot about my drink cause I witnessed the cup standing there with the shaker filled with milk tea up side down, and he goes, no we are busy we are processing the drinks (in a snappy attitude). Advice to management, there are other milk tea competitors on the same block. If you can't manage the operation of the store then the customers will just go somewhere else. read more

The spicy chicken sandwich comes with a HUGE fried chicken thigh and it's so juicy even though it traveled all the way to my house. The sauce is a bit sweet and spicy, which is perfect for my taste. The veggies were also fresh and helped cut the heaviness of the chicken. When I tell you this sandwich is filling, I really mean it! For the sides, I've tried their wings and curly fries. Their wings are really good too - seasoned well and crispy. The curly fries were standard curly fries you would get anywhere else. I've always loved mango pomelo and I'm so happy that you can choose whichever drink you'd like from the menu! There are so many to choose from and I was so tempted to try another drink but I honestly really liked the mango pomelo that I got the first time so I got it again. As an Asian-American, I am fucking here for this. I never quite understood the resistance from Asian chains to adopt American flavors. Case & Point: In a 2 block radius is almost 10 bubble tea shops and only one of them has peanut butter as a flavor. It's the same variations in all of these stores and finally there's some change. Here's something you won't catch at other stores; I ordered the Persimmon bubble tea. When was the last time you saw that on a menu? Granted it tasted like papaya but I like the adventure. We also ordered the Rose Jasmine w/ sago and it did a great job balancing out the flavors and accentuating the rose. It's my gf's new favorite thing. Normally stores have a hard time with a narrow layout but they were able to accomplish a nice minimalist open-space cafe aesthetic that is partially bleacher. One of my only criticisms is there's an absence of imagery on the walls and the menu so-far is just a list of their drink and food options. I suspect they're not fully done renovating but I'm going back anyway because there's a lime drink and that's also hard to find for whatever reason. (Actually I know the reason. Lime juices are extremely volatile, so it loses flavor within minutes of being juiced.) Oh oh oh! This is such an awesome spot and a welcome addition to the latest string of bubble tea + snack shops along the stretch of 86th Street in Bensonhurst. One of my go-to spots (Hey Chick Hey Tea) closed down a while ago and I was real bummed out by that but this place surely makes up for the loss of that. The menu offers plenty of great drinks, bubble teas, milk teas, fruit teas, smoothies, and really creative takes on classic tea drinks. The ambiance is popping inside depending on the day you go. It can have the quietness of a peaceful cafe on a typical weekday afternoon to sip on tea and eat snacks alone or a bustling environment of patrons coming and going or staying and eating and catching up with groups of friends. The place is perfectly set up for both types with a decent spread of seating with tables or without tables. You have the option to order at a kiosk or with the worker and both options are viable. The menu is quite expansive but it just means you're most likely going back to try more varieties...I know I will. The wait time will obviously depend on the number of customers at the time but there seems to be a decent well-oiled machine of workers working to churn out orders and drinks as efficiently as they can. Let's get to the food...we ordered two combo deals...one with a grilled chicken sandwich along with curly fries and a Avocado Mango Pomelo drink. The other combo was a crispy chicken sandwich with curly fries and a Thai Brulee. We also ordered a classic rose milk tea as well a side of golden buns. The chicken sandwiches were great and neatly packaged and did not give us a case of dehydration like some fast food joints typically do. We loved these sandwiches and need to try the others as well. The curly fries were perfect and crispy and not too greasy as well as the fried golden buns. The drinks were something else entirely...they were some of the best and most creative that I've ever had or come across. The avocado mango pomelo was perfectly creamy with the right amount of sweetness from the mango chunks at the bottom. The Thai brulee was a perfect texture of classic thai milk tea with hints of creme brulee cream nestled around the cup. The rose milk tea is a delicious classic as always so I'm glad this was no different. I'm marking this place as one of my top 10 places to go to in Brooklyn for sure...I'll definitely be back! I never thought I'd encounter something like this, but was so disgusted when my friend received completely raw chicken in her burger. It wasn't just slightly undercooked- the entire center was dark pink. As someone who's gotten seriously ill from food poisoning before, I felt sick even looking at the meat and couldn't believe the level of negligence that had to have happened for a whole chunk of chicken to be entirely raw. I still really value JOOY for their abundance of seats and clean inside. I just wanted to include my review of the Mango Pomelo. I forgot if it's their most popular drink, but I personally like it regardless. Unfortunately I found it disappointing. I don't like how they give so little grapefruit pulp. Traditionally, mango pomelo sago is supposed to have every bite full of mango puree, mango chunks, sago, and pomelo. The portion is just so off here. It doesn't help how they fill 80% of the cup with mango slush that's tasteless. Plopping "toppings" at the bottom and in random corners doesn't help with the distribution of flavors. That's why it's important to do even layers and not throw the grapefruit pulp in one corner (of a circle bottom yes). Such placement makes me have gulpfuls of one ingredient but not the other. I honestly would not be offended if mango pomelo was just a premade drink that gets scooped up when someone orders. Even if you compile it on the spot, I'm sure the mango puree can be wayyyy more concentrated than the slush we're given now. I think mango pomelo is one of the most expensive drink on the menu (before customizations). If I were to get this quality, I'd rather get mango mango across the street which has way stronger mango flavor and neater layering. One of the reasons for such poor drink design is how all the drinks basically use the same cup size. It's convenient for the store and customers don't need to choose, but the cup is just too tall too big. The slender tall shape is not convenient for drinks with layers that need to be mixed together or eaten together. None of their drinks are executed neatly leveraging the shape of the cup, not even their marketing photos. Next time I'm coming here, I'm not going to be as adventurous and just go with basic ol milk tea. I hope I won't get disappointed over that, but considering it's the cheapest drink on their menu maybe I'll tolerate it. read more
