No matter how many other popcorn chicken I try, I'm always coming back for Vivi's. Their popcorn chicken is just so juicy and tender, I feel like I have yet to find another establishment that can compare. The chicken is made to order so it is fresh and hot, but do expect to wait a while. I personally only ever go for the garlic flavor (essentially just garlic powder, I believe) but there are other flavors to choose from. They ask you kindly to order for pickup on uber eats or call them to do a phone order. Picking up orders can be tricky when there is a crowd. Since there's only one person distributing drinks, you must be patient. I love vivi's in general and this place is no different. Clean and it is more spacious than the 8th avenue one. The one in 8th ave doesn't have seating while this does. It is small but it's clean and dainty. I highly recommend Thai iced tea it's the drink I always and only get from vivis. Might be a bit sweeter than the other thinks. read more

I am a lover of all bubble tea places but it's true some are more authentic than others when it comes to taste. Vivi I find has more fruit flavors and dessert like options. Whereas other tea places focus on mixing up the base tea flavors with fruity options. Again, a fan of both but know what you're into before ordering. Just saying. I got the Thai Milk Tea on this visit, hot beverage for a brisk evening. It was really good, more on the sweeter side. It totally reminded me of a Thai Iced without ice. Yum. My sister and I frequent these establishments often and know what we like. Skip the chocolate choco or chocolate shake like drink, it's not quite it's name. Definitely not the Ice Cream parlor kind. My childhood friend and I went to Vivi for some bubble teas. Unfortunately, the tea didn't meet our standard.* We ordered a cup of the longan tea to share. As my friend stated, it tasted like they dumped the whole container of syrup in the cup and added 10% hot water. I asked the cashier if I can purchase a cup of hot water. She asked me to repeat that request. When I did, she turned to her co-worker; they shrugged and quoted me $1. Interesting. Their tea is full of sugar hence they charge you $1 to dilute it. My friend urged me to give this place one star when I write this review. However, I'm a rebel without a cause. They don't make it with pre-cooked boba in brown sugar... rather, they use regular boba AND then add the brown sugar syrup... nope. I'm never going back to this place ever so I don't really care if they stop taking my orders or block my number. If the manager or the boss of this joint wants to check it was today at 8/1, 2 rude females, the one who picked up my phone order is really incompetent. No offense. The fact she called me to confirm my order is not the problem. It's nice of her to do so and the right thing to do if she forgot but then she got my boyfriend to call me also to confirm the order. So a total of 3 phone calls while i repeated my order about 10 times the same way (3x the first one and twice on the other other two phone calls, she still ended up getting my order wrong. LOL! Also, when someone pays with a credit card and you swiped, you give them back the credit card right away. You don't hold their credit card for the whole duration until they leave. Because you can be suspected of copying their credit card information. Instead of being apologetic after I called to inform her that she got my order wrong, she gave the phone to another girl who never even spoke to us once to say that my boyfriend changed the order last minute which he didn't. While strolling around 86th Street and craving bubble tea, decided to stop by this little vivi bubble tea place. It didn't look very crowded when I went in but I think there was 3 huge orders before me because it took forever for me to get a drink. I went for a Thai tea with Bubba. Tea wasn't ultra sweet but still taste like Thai tea. Bubba was good. Perfectly al dente. I just wish they put more. Over$5 for a medium drink was a bit much. Service was ok. Came by to grab some drinks and popcorn chicken with my boyfriend on a Tuesday night around 8:30. I ordered a green tea yakult with lychee jelly and my boyfriend ordered the matcha red bean! We also got the curry popcorn chicken as a snack. As a heads up, the wait can be a bit long here. Typically the popcorn chicken does take some time to make but I came by once just for drinks and I still had to wait a while. My drink was good and refreshing for a hot summer day! My boyfriend enjoyed his drink too. Our popcorn chicken didn't taste like curry though but it was still pretty tender and yummy. I wish they had seasoned it more but I enjoyed it! Its been a while since I last ordered bubble tea with regular sugar and usually I can tell whether it's good milk tea or bad by how much flavor it has without sugar. With normal sugar it tastes just as delicious as I remember it to be :3. I had the 3Q BOGO thanks to the grand opening special. The herbal jelly, bubbles, and pudding were all bouncy, smooth, tasty & in just the right amounts. I can't wait to try their popcorn chicken in the future because that's the one thing KFT across the street doesn't have! The store itself is very cute and reminds me of a sanrio princess theme. Pinks and whites everywhere, with two seater tables and a bench by the entrance. Overall, the store itself is small and probably fits 20 people max. Hopefully with Vivis, competition can be fierce and lower bubble tea prices or spice up what each shop has to offer ;). PS no wifi read more

Anyways, decided to go to vivi's today since I wanted to get myself some bubble tea or drink (and I'm not a bubble tea person since I don't like tapioca and usually just go for fruit teas). I also wanted to get their popcorn chicken! (for my baby sis and myself). The drink I got was the Earl Grey Float (had no idea what it was but it seems interesting). So I ordered that and two orders of salt & pepper popcorn chicken. The orders came out pretty timely and didn't have to wait that long. My drink came out first and then the two orders did. The drink was pretty good - it wasn't sweet and thankfully it wasn't! Another reason I don't drink bubble tea or w/e is that they tend to make it sweet - catering to the younger individuals. But I guess cause it's Earl Grey that's why?it wasn't sweet. Either way - it wasn't sweet or too sweet and the form was said to be steamed milk but it tasted like they put something else as well. I don't know what it was but my sister liked that part. I didn't dislike it - since I can see myself ordering this drink again. Again super happy it wasn't sweet - maybe next time I'll try the Jasmine tea float. For the popcorn chicken! Again, happy they did it right! It wasn't dry and tasted like how it was supposed to. It was piping hot when we got it and it was so moist. I'm not sure if there's a place around Bensonhurst that has a good popcorn chicken place but no need to worry since Vivi is there. I just wished that there were more seats since I wanted to enjoy the drink and food with my baby sister. But all is good - no rude staff behind the counter, no long wait and clean. Super stoked that my favorite popcorn chicken place opened near my house. Now I don't have to drive that far just to satisfy a craving. Bubble tea here is decent- but they got rid or revamped my favorite drink- green apple yogurt. Now I don't even think they have a green apple option for their "yaqualt" drinks. No biggie - I religiously only would get the popcorn chicken anyways, since my favorite bbtea is across the street. Expect at least a 10 minute wait - fairly normal if you've been to the other locations. They make them fresh and always tastes so good. They have several different flavors. Happy new year!! They finally opened up a Vivi Bubble Tea within walking distance from my house! Came here after lunch nearby since they're having a BOGO deal on 5 of their drinks to celebrate their grand opening. I tried all 5 flavors and my favorite is still my go-to, the 3Q, which has tapioca, grass jelly, and pudding. I think they made it better here than they did at the Chinatown location. The one I had in Chinatown was too bland while the one here had the right amount of sweetness. The Red moo milk and Passionfruit QQ were also good but I didn't really like the Earl grey and Peach ice jelly. I also tried the Basil popcorn chicken and it was good. It's not as crispy as the one at Chicken V a couple of blocks away but I think the meat here tasted better. The place looks really cute and sort of looks like a house from the outside. The cashier was really nice but service was a big problem. It took us like 20 mins to get our drinks after we ordered because they were severely understaffed. I don't blame them since they just opened and since it's the first day of the new year. Hopefully they manage to fix this asap. Will be back :) read more

They're 1 for $2 or 3 for $5. They're pretty good. They also have fries, corn dogs and etc snacks. I got their galaxy drink and it was gross at first, but then I remembered I was supposed to mix it. After mixing the drink, it was quite refreshing and delicious. I like their kumquat jelly drink. It's great for your throat! On the downside, they seemed understaffed. Staffs were very friendly and did not rush me out even tho it was already 10pm. Got myself medium peach tea jelly drink with less ice and bubble. It was perfect, just a tad sweet to my liking. If I can give it 0 stars I would. Only place open near me for bubble tea and had a craving. I saw a line and waited at the back, little did I know we had to call in to order. Thanks Vivi for putting a sign big enough for people to see//ends sarcasm. I called and line was busy, called again put in my order for three drinks and dude said 15 mins. Yeah 15 mins my butt. After everyone who was there before me got their orders I proceeded to go up to counter and asked how much longer cause I waited over 40 mins for 3 drinks. It should take 3 mins to make a drink max. Guy asked what I ordered, I told him two milk tea and a taro and he goes to the back and picks up my drink. So my drinks were sitting there the whole time!!! WTF SERIOUSLY DUDE. How you not call out orders or tell people on the phone that you gotta go up and ask about the drinks. My drinks would have been sitting there all day if I didn't ask. Ordered a basic boba milk tea and popcorn chicken and didn't get it for the longest time after the three orders after me got their drinks and food...for context the orders after me were multiple drinks with popcorn chicken and takoyaki as well but they all got taken care of before me. I'm sure the cashier person just forgot about me but I watched as my boba got made first and just chilled on the counter while everyone got their drinks and earlier popcorn chicken despite ordering AFTER me. Compared to KFT and YaYas, this place has less amount of seats, pricing-wise is relatively the same for bubble black tea. However, this place doesn't have many options of food to choose from. Even though Vivi Bubble Tea is all over NYC, I have never tried it. Since a new branch is now opened in my neighborhood, I made a pit stop to warm up while shopping in the area. The store is cute in its design even though it's small. The chairs were comfortable, although the bench seating wasn't. There was only one person working the front and when a few patrons come in, it creates a backlog since she stops taking orders to make the drinks. There is another guy in the back making food orders. I ordered a hot Japanese Matcha Milk Tea with bubbles. I like that it came in this cute and durable cup and it was actually quite good. It had a milky and creamy texture but not too thick or powdery. I can taste the matcha flavor without it being too bitter. A solid cup overall. Next time, I may give the popcorn chicken a try. It seems pretty good. It seems like everyday a new bubble tea shop opens on 86st. While this location is a bit of a walk from where I live, it's the only Vivi's near me (besides one in Staten Island that I go to often). The storefront is cute enough and looks like hello kitty vomited pink everywhere. Nevertheless, the drinks are delicious albeit a bit pricey. My favorite go-to's are the 3Q milk tea (its basically a milk tea with tapioca, grass jelly, and pudding) and the earl gray float (earl gray tea with this foamy white cream cheese like topping).
