It's just not the best I've had. Beware: This location doesn't allow you to mix two flavors for Popcorn Chicken, even though it's at zero extra cost or effort for them to do so. Some other locations allow this. That little gesture goes a long way for me. I asked for no sugar/less sweet in my Passionfruit Yakult drink, but they didn't allow this, as they told me they don't add sugar to this. Unfortunately, it was beyond too sweet for me, I couldn't even finish it. There was also no boba available. This Dragon Fruit Cream Float is blend, has no flavor, no where near the color of the advertised picture. I felt as if I was drinking sugar and tea with a bunch of fatty cream on the top. I've been here a few times for bubble tea and it tastes just like any other Vivi bubble tea. However, today I decided to stop by for some garlic popcorn chicken. Big mistake. The service was slow and the chicken was dry and super salty. I've always gotten popcorn chicken from Vivi's at the Bay Pkwy and the 86th street locations and it was never this salty. The pieces of chicken were also very small and not juicy at all, unlike the other locations. If you want good popcorn chicken, I'd suggest their other locations nearby. I was told by a friend they opened a Vivi on 18th Ave and had to check it out. Super excited since this is the closest location to home for me. What a great addition to the area with tons of shopping around. The menu is the same like every other Vivi. Only difference is that they charge tax to everything compared to the other Vivi's in the area. It is a long, narrow store with minimal seating. Great service and delicious drinks. Popped in here with my better half after brunch at a Malaysian spot nearby. This is a small spot and I almost thought it was closed because the gate was down at the business next door. I'm not the biggest fan of boba so I really appreciate the fact the options available at Vivi. I am partial to the aloe and coconut jelly and the lychee tea. All options are available. Have had Vivi's a few other times in other locations, first time at this location. I went with the Yakult green tea, half-sweet, with boba. The drink seemed very sweet here for some reason. Even at half sweet, it was way too sweet. Maybe the employee didn't drain the boba enough before putting it into my cup or something. Or maybe they used a bit too much of the Yakult. To make matters worse, the drink wasn't really chilled enough, so all the ice melted immediately and the drink wasn't satisfyingly cold. Maybe the boba was freshly cooked and still warm. Or maybe the tea was just brewed so it was still warm. But the end result was a drink that was too sweet and just cooler than room temp, which made the drink seem even more sweet. It just made me more thirsty when it normally is a drink that's light and refreshing. If I come back to this location, I might try just getting no sugar with my drink. I'll let the Yakult and the boba sweeten it for me. The boba was cooked very well. They seemed fresh and they were all at the same consistency instead of those times when you have undercooked and overcooked boba mixed together. My serving of boba was perfect. read more

I saw other reviews that cautioned about their drinks are somehow sweeter than the other Vivi locations so I ordered a Thai Milk Tea w/ pearls 30% sugar & I'm thankful I took that into account. Even with less sugar, it still taste a bit too sweet but although I love the flavor. I just wish they can offer maybe 20% sweetness as an option. I usually get the garlic but since my sister has never been to Vivi's, I went with her orders of Curry & Basil flavored Popcorn Chicken. They're both fried to perfection & it's the exact crisp level that we like but the Basil isn't as fragrant as I'd like but it's alright since it's just dried basil flakes. The Curry was delicious!! It was fragrant, a little bit too salty but the taste makes up for it. The employees speak Mandarin, Cantonese but also English & are friendly & open to any questions you may have to make sure they get the confirmed orders for you. The seating options are quite roomy so it's great if you wanna stick around to chill with your friends. The AC isn't too cold but enough to keep you from sweating but if you want to cool off from the summer heat, sit near the cashier Bc that's where the AC is near at.
