The food doesn't look freshly made, but after heating it up at home, the taste and texture was pretty good. The portugese egg tart surprised me how good it tasted. The crust was flaky and lighter than I'm used to seeing and the eggy part was very eggy and not too sweet. One of the better egg tarts I've eaten I must say or maybe I'm just a master of reheating. The Pineapple Bun was huge and toasted up very well. The top crust was crumbly and the way I like it and inside was just very nice bread. This is a bakery but I had no interest in eating the baked goods. I came here for the food! I ordered shrimp dumplings and shrimp rice noodles dim sum (under $2 each). If you're expecting restaurant quality dim sum, you'll be disappointed. It's not bad tasting, but the dumplings skin stuck to the paper and the rice noodles had only one tiny shrimp in each noodle. But with the cheap prices of their dishes, I can't really complain about them. Definitely worth a try if you crave dim sum. My #1 favorite Bakery place to get pastries or some Dim Sum in the morning for breakfast. They also have Rice dishes, congee and fried rice as an option if you want something different besides the regular/usual pastries. It's also very convenient for people as its close to The "N" subway line and the B82 bus. The staff is very friendly and welcoming as they take your order. The Bakery is very small and can be crowded during the mornings when people are in a rush to go to work lol. Unfortunately the Bakery might possibly be closed for good because I've heard that the bakery has some roach and flies issue near the Kitchen area where the Chefs prepare the food which is crazy but until they resolve that issue then it could be possibly be closed for good unfortunately. read more

Same owner, different store name. Same employees. Let's start off with service. The empoyees are rude and cleanliness is rated as "B" by the city. I've ordered bread products from them and they always seem to "miscalculate". The employees are very sly. Make sure you calculate your change before you leave. Seriously, this is like every other Chinese bakery out there. The buns, rolls and breads are all good. They got hot and cold tapioca drinks, and next to the N train kings highway station, so perfect to grab some food before work. Service is pretty nice too, or maybe it's because I always go in when it's empty. The girl inside tells me they are open by 6 am. That's definitely a plus! However, if you're rushing to get to work or just rushing in general, you might not want to complicate your order. The place is small, with only 2-3 staff at once. They are nice, but it will take longer than 3 minutes to get your order done, when other bakery only takes 50 seconds. I have visited several times and some dim sum dishes, several buns and pastries. All have been exceptional. I was at the bakery today (Saturday) before noon and they were already out of dim sum except for a few nor mai gai (sticky rice with chicken, quail egg and sausage wrapped in lotus leaf) and cha sui bau (roast or steamed pork buns)...that should not happen so early on a Saturday! Conveniently located right next to the Kings Highway station, Long Wong carries a decent array of standard Chinese bakery fare, as well as some dim sum and bubble tea. Although the milk tea and coffee were nothing memorable, Long Wong serves up a surprisingly good steamed roast pork bun. Now, I realize everyone's taste in roast pork bun varies, but if the following description appeals to you, I really recommend that you try it on your next visit. Long Wong's steamed roast pork buns boast a lovely 3:7 bun to filling ratio. The filling itself is the sometimes loved, sometimes hated unearthly red color that is nowhere to be found in nature, yet something about its presence in roast pork just seems so right. The filling seems to have a 3:5 ratio of fatty meat to lean meat, with the occasional piece of unidentifiable vegetable floating around. Lastly, it is also just slightly sweet, mostly savory, which is perfect for me as I prefer my cha siu bau to be on the savory side. Now that I've dedicated an entire paragraph to cha siu bau, let's talk about their other items. Their bubble tea is on par with the bubble tea served at any other bakery, though if you prefer your bubble tea sweeter, you should choose to have yours made with powder instead of fruit. One of their more enjoyable buns is their fried chicken bun. I'm not actually sure if that's what it is called but look for the bun with a slab of fried chicken, cucumbers, and tomato in it. And for a bakery, their dim sum isn't half bad. The shredded pork and thousand year egg congee is on the thinner side but not bad. The cheong fun is also decent, although both are not restaurant quality. Service is fast, efficient, and friendly. This is just a bakery so you cannot expect it to have service of a cafe. They just get things done. You line up wait for your turn and order. They don't really follow the line sometimes and just skips you. But when it is your turn, they do get it done. You will need to make sure that you line up correctly because some of these employees like to do what ever the _ _ _ _ they want and will just eye you and then miss you to go to the person behind. This just leaves me in frustration. But I have to come here everyday since this is the only bakery near the train station. But its okay for a quick breakfast for the morning. read more

This bakery is around the corner from a private student of mine and I've come in on occasion to buy a milk tea, or a 90¢ roast pork bun. Unfortunately, I get there late afternoon, when there are less choices and the items aren't as fresh as other times of the day. This is a great place to grab a treat and go since it's next door to the N train. The employees are always very nice. They have very nice congee (rice soup with meat or vegetables), tasty pork & veggies buns (6 per package in refrigerator, makes for a great breakfast or lunch at home if you heat it up and add some cheese), standard Chinese pastries, and tasty bubble teas. I live a block and a half away from this place and I tend to go often on the weekends just to get breakfast, lunch, or even just a cup of coffee. I must admit that they are pretty cheap as what I buy there I end up paying 40% extra at other places. The bread is a must as they are nice and fresh. It's not the first time, but its happened a few times already. Whenever I order Bubble tea, they may not put sugar in it and I end up with bitter Bubble tea. On top of that if they forgot the straw, how am I suppose to drink the tapioca? With my bare hands? This is ridiculous!
