That's what it was like inside Kowloon Cafe this afternoon because they barely had any air on in 80+ degree weather. It's also really dark in there, which wasn't very welcoming. Now, onto the food: - Beef Chow Fun: it was good, but very oily. I know you need a lot of oil to keep it from sticking, but it was a bit too much for me. The beef was also not as tender as I had hoped. - Baked Pork Chop Rice: if you like sweet tomato sauce with your baked rice dishes, then this is for you (and me!) I enjoyed this dish a lot, but could've enjoyed it more if there had been AC because it came out piping hot! - Assorted Combination Bowl: I ordered this thinking it was 煎讓三寶, but I was very wrong. It was a mixture of pork skin, fish balls, radish, and squid. I would not get this again because it was extremely bland. If you do decide to get it, go for the one with curry sauce, as I'm sure that would be at least tastier. - Rice Noodles w/ Mix Sauce: very bouncy and chewy rice noodles with a lot of sauce, which is right up my alley. I would order this again if I'm ever back. Overall, my experience here was just okay. There were a few hits and misses. They can do better with a renovation (the booth cushions were damaged) and brighter lighting. Too many competitors in the area with better food make it hard for me to want to come back.
