    The hot food menu

I love this bakery! Unlike most Chinese bakeries where they sell one large bun, they sell three mini ones in a pack. They have a huge selection of sweet and savory buns and pastries starting at $1.50. They also have a small selection of dimsum, rice dishes and noodles starting at $2.25. I have tried most of the stuff on their menu and some of my favorites would be the chicken & mushroom rice, tea eggs, pumpkin pastry puff (seasonal), cha siew pastry puff and pork dumplings (have to come early for this! They're usually sold out before noon!). I come here almost everyday for either breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack or just a pick-me-up drink. They have 4 tables that seats only one person per table. They have no restroom and it is cash only.

I just drove by the location and want some bread for breakfast. It is a very small store with only 4 seats for eat-in. I found the rice menu on the wall and is available for breakfast. So I changed my mind to try their Spare rib & chicken steam rice. It was so good. I would have ordered another one if I was not worried about too much calories & carb.

I keep on returning back for their flan. This time, I tried their fruit napoleon and it definitely hit the spot. Their cookies are also super fresh for gifting to folks or hosting. The spot itself is spacious and the service is wonderful. I like that they have outdoor seating as well for summer nights. It's become a regular spot for us when we're craving a sweet treat!

But this review is about something bigger than dessert. The strawberry cheesecake here reminds me of my mom. It was her favorite, and it was one of the last desserts I got to share with her. Anytime she wanted a sweet treat, that's what she asked for. Ordering it now keeps me connected to her. This past July, on her 3rd birthday in heaven, I placed an order to celebrate her. The menu only had cherry cheesecake that day, so I wrote a note explaining what the strawberry meant to me. The staff didn't just make it happen, they sent an extra slice of strawberry cheesecake on top of it. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare. The people here have always been this kind. We love everyone who works there, and we're grateful for the small moments of care they've shown our family. Thank you for everything.
