The food is as tasty as ever and they don't rush you out in a huff if you happen to show up minutes before closing like I often do. Prices are also still very reasonable. So this place is divey looking but their food is definitely good. Call ahead about 20 mins and they will keep your food ready and waiting. They don't deliver and They only take cash. They have 2 tables with chairs but it's more like waiting space than place to eating there. Definitely a take out joint. I had the crispy eggplant and it was all kinds of awesome- there's a lot of batter but it's really delicious. I also got the fried rice which was pretty good. Those are my standard orders, along with the pepper chicken , the cheese wontons and the Ma po tofu is outstanding. Don't be limited by the menu, ask them for dishes they dont have on there and they are happy to accommodate almost all veggie options, as well as chicken, beef and pork. They don't have too much variety for fish and lamb but they will make an udon noodle soup that isn't on the menu, and if you ask for a spicy eggplant, they will take direction well. Been going to Wing Cheong since I was a kid, which has been over 20 years now btw. They always say hello to my dad etc. The food is always good. I do not remember if they take cards now though. It's been quite sometime since I have gone in there myself. It's a standard Chinese Food tale out place, nothing much different than going in to order and standing around for a bit to wait or the seats. Beware!!!!! It has been two weeks since I last visited this restaurant. I normally do not eat at too many Chinese restaurants. However, the one day that I didn't bring my lunch to work is the day I decided to stop by and grab something to eat. I ordered plain lo mein with boneless chicken which is something that I never ordered but I wanted something different. Little did I know that something different was going to creep up on me. I was enjoying the food while I consumed it, although I was uncertain about the boneless chicken which you can never be certain if it is chicken. Fast forward to exactly 24 hours after consuming the food, I began to feel very sick. I was suffering with abdominal cramps, diarrhea, loss of appetite (which is a rarity for me lol), fever, nausea which are all symptoms of food poisoning. I was ill for four days and unable to eat anything as well. I love to eat food but I do not like to get sick because someone failed to handle the food properly. With that being said, I will not purchase anything from this restaurant in the future. I'll stick to my regular Chinese restaurants. read more

I ordered the sweet and sour chicken combo platter with lomein and my husband had the general tso's chicken with fried rice, each came with an egg roll. My meal was so good and I love the taste of the sweet and sour sauce! My husband enjoyed his as well. Very generous portions and the employees are super friendly! Also I ordered the hot and sour soup and let me tell you.. it is AMAZING! I think it's actually the best hot and sour soup I've had. Lived here for so long, I don't know why it took me so long to try this place. Probably because there are so many Chinese takeout places along Fulton Street. Try the rice cakes, small flat rice noodles that are stirfry with vegetables or meat of your choice. Usually I have had these when getting Korean food-- I was surprised to find them here. Vegetables were really fresh. They are a great gluten-free noodle option. The sauce on my dish was light and not too greasy as it is with other Chinese takeout places in the neighborhood. Hands down best greasy, chinese restaurant chicken wings and they are great. I know this because I ate them BEFORE I started drinking. They taste good sober, tipsy or so far gone. I do want to apologize though for the day after my (suburban) homie with a severe hangover ordering one of everything on the menu to only realize that they don't take credit cards and that she can't remember her debit card pin....after the food was made. I really love this place because they have shrimp dumplings and that's very hard to find in local Chinese restaurants. They all usually have veg or pork never shrimp, so that's like a gem! In addition to the shrimp dumplings they have a grilled shrimp with veggies that's sooo good! I was looking for a healthier option one day and tried that and I loved it. The staff members are very friendly which is not always the case in Chinese restaurants. The only bad thing about this place is that they don't do delivery which is really weird. As far as non-Chinatown/American-style Chinese food goes, this place is surprisingly excellent. The chow fun is the only thing I'd definitely not order again -- way too salty and kind of mushy. The boneless spareribs were good, if a little gristly. Hot and sour soup's a little heavier/oilier than I'd prefer, but not bad when it saves me a trip to Mott Street. The dumplings are doughier than I like, but my husband loves them that way, so I guess that's up to you. The sesame chicken, beef with broccoli, and sauteed string beans have all been really tasty and with vegetables that haven't been cooked to death. The crab rangoon (on their menu as "Cheese Wonton") is nearly perfect: crisp, fresh, not too greasy. Plus? Ridiculously huge portion sizes and super friendly staff. Tasty cheap eats available late night, from super nice people. A late arrival into JFK after not eating all day, a cab ride to Brooklyn, I'm hangry. That's hungry to the point of being angry. My friend suggests Wing Cheong even though he ate the food there just the night before. Veggie dumplings - steamed - are good. Scallion pancakes, good. The roast pork with snow peas (#89?) has more veg in it than snow peas, so bonus. We also got an item pictured on the wall, fish with tofu and vegetables. It could use a little hot sauce to zip things up a bit, luckily there's an ample portion of that provided in our bag. Our two main dishes come with rice: brown or white is available. We get the brown. That's a bonus in my book as well. For being nearly 1 am, everyone's in the good mood, including the numerous other customers who come in ravenously requesting the fried wings, and then breaking out into acapella song. Surprise. Actual authentic Chinese dishes in BedStuy! It seems the establishment is intent on adding more 'Home Style' dishes as well. No Chinese broccoli yet, but I (and you) should ask for it! For now, I'd go for the Ma Pao Tofu, the eggplant, and perhaps the scallion pancakes if you're staying in. They're best if you don't carry them home in a box where they'll get soggy. read more

If you want delicious cheap Chinese food, this is clearly your haven. Every time I order a meal there, it ends up turning into two meals due to the massive amount they give you. And all of that is for under $10, which is wonderful. I try to order different items every time I am there, and I've been consistently pleased with every order. They aren't trying to reinvent the wheel here. They've got all the typical menu items you'll want when you are looking to get Chinese food. And they do it well. Not as saturated with sauce as many other places, and to my surprise I appreciated that more than I would have thought. The crab rangoon (cream cheese wontons) are 10 sizeable pieces for thess than $4 and a generous helping of sweet/sour sauce for dipping.
