I ordered delivery from here. It's a classic Chinese takeout restaurant. Prices were reasonable. I got broccoli in garlic sauce. I liked that they gave options for how spicy you wanted the sauce to be, which most restaurants don't offer. We also got a side of their chili oil and it was great. I saw great reviews of this place so I walked 25 minutes to get there. The workers speak my dialect of Chinese so I conversed with them and they were really friendly. I asked for sesame chicken lunch extra crispy with fried rice and egg roll but I ended up not getting the sesame seeds...so it was basically general tsos chicken instead. I got hot oil on the side to make it extra spicy. I took my first bite of the fried rice and it was the best I've had in a long time with the onions complimenting it splendidly. I took a bite of the chicken after putting hot oil all over it and I thought this too may be the best I've had. The sauce was very good and the fried rice is very tasty. The problem I experienced though is how they cheapen out on material. For instance a lot of the chicken pieces were mostly dough on the inside. Some pieces were good but many weren't. I also noticed the pork fried rice had literally zero pork. The egg roll had cabbage and nothing else. After hearing about GCR for awhile I decided to try them out on Postmates. I ordered the crispy chicken w/ garlic sauce and roast pork w/ broccoli lunch sets, which came with both the pork fried rice and an egg roll. Just a note that they use their own delivery drivers, despite being on the apps. The food came on time, but since they use their own drivers you won't see driver locations in the app. The food was plentiful and looked delicious. The egg roll was the generic kind all the small Chinese shops use (all veggies and no meat), and the pork fried rice wasn't anything special. They loaded my plate up with the main entrees which is the highlight here. The roast pork was a little bland and nothing memorable, but the crispy chicken was everything. Little breading, very crispy and packed with flavors. I would definitely order this again. Hits and misses from here, but it's a great local Chinese joint if you're in the area. read more

This is my go to for basic Chinese food. Fastest delivery. The jumbo fried shrimp is hammered, flattened and over breaded but the baby fried shrimp is fabulous. The French fries are nice and crunchy. The shrimp with garlic sauce over shrimp fried rice is very good. I chose this place because it was open for lunch on Christmas day, and that's where I was at with my life. There's some inside seating, but my girlfriend and I chose to take our food a few blocks down the street to Irving Square Park where we unwrapped the containers and got to work. I've tried 2 different dishes from this place, and both dishes were quite underwhelming and fell short of the other Chinese takeout places that are only a minute away from this place. I got the shrimp and mushroom lunch special this time; the meal had about 3 shrimps and was 80% fried rice. The rice was cold, undercooked and therefore slightly crunchy, and the amount of sauce in the shrimp/mushroom dish was overwhelming and overly sweet in taste. The staff here was also incredibly rude and demanded to remove the sides that came with my order during the ordering process. Thursday night we ordered delivery because we didn't want to cook before flying out for a trip on Friday. Big mistake. Good Chinese became bad Chinese. We both got food poisoning and missed our flight for one of my husband's best friends weddings. He's devastated and I feel terrible for him. He keeps trying to find a way to make it happen but like we can't really if we can't reliably spend any amount of time anywhere without throwing up. They actually tried to say they delivered my food when the delivery guy would not bring the food to my door, he told me he was cancelling the order. I called the store asking when I would get my refund, they told me to contact Uber. I contacted Uber, they contacted Good Chinese and they stated they delivered my order, in which they did not. Before all this, when I tried to contact the store, they kept hanging up on me. The disrespect and unprofessionalism was off the charts. I was unable to physically come down and pick up my food. That is why I ordered. I had never had a problem with them before, but to take the food back and not refund my money is unacceptable. I will get a refund. Stay away they are not GOOD! read more

These folks take pride in cooking good Chinese food. IMHO, they have the best beef and broccoli, General Tso's chicken, kung pao chicken, and Singapore rice noodles in the neighborhood. Also meriting praise is the pork fried rice. None of the other Chinese restaurants in Bushwick prepare this properly (they use yellow rice with almost no vegetables). I was visiting one of my best friends the other day and he asked if I wanted to jump in on his chinese delivery order. While my initial thoughts were "H*ll yeah", for some reason I actually responded with a nonchalant "Hmm I could eat." I ordered the beef and broccoli over white rice (in my head it sounds healthy because of a the broccoli) and a side of ginger ale. I'm always preaching water but when it comes to delivery, c'mon, it just feels incomplete with ginger ale. I really like this place because they're honest. I mean it doesn't get more honest and to the point then their name, am I right? They're good. They're not great, but they are indeed good chinese. It's bad, it's not great, it's good. Most delicious Chinese food I've had in a long time but....the delivery service sucks through door dash....I ordered and 30 minutes later called to see when my order would be delivered, I was told 15-20 minutes. I didn't receive it until 40 minutes later. When I called to complain/inquire what happened I was told "you got your food right? Ok no big deal. You're going to eat it right? No big deal." It was rude and disregarded the issue I called them with. I had to go to work and was expecting them to be on time and was completely disappointed by the delivery and response. Needless to say I'll give them one more shot and order directly instead of through door dash and hope it'll be better. I found this place on Seamless and it is truly a delivery gem. The delivery guys are friendly and the food always is delivered quickly and accurately. This place has delicious food, but in person, the service is rough. They counter lady is nice, but I think she struggles to understand the different accents of the area. My order was delicious, but not accurate. The rice is real fried rice, not that weird yellow stuff served in most NYC joints. The shrimp with string beans are delicious, along with the other sizzling dishes I've tried. I will stick to ordering from this place via Seamless.
