I really enjoy the baked chicken cutlet with white sauce and cheese here. That's my favorite dish so far. The stir fried ho fun had great wok hei and was one of the better versions I've tried in the area. The rice roll sauce was flavorful, though the noodle texture could use some improvement. I also tried the crunchy Ovaltine hot lava toast, which was good but not particularly memorable. The red bean slush was smooth and well blended. The interior is bright and colorful, with a fun Hong Kong theme that feels inviting. Prices are on the higher end for a cha chaan teng, but the portions are fair. It does get busy, though the service was decent and efficient. If you're craving classic Hong Kong cafe dishes and don't mind spending a bit more, this is a solid spot to check out.

My fiancee and I were in the mood for a Hong Kong style cafe and we wanted to try out this place. The decor is this place is super cute - very nostalgic of cafes in Hong Kong. The menu has all your standard Hong Kong style cafe foods - I will say that it is on the pricer end. They do also have your standard breakfast sets if you come at the proper times. We were not super hungry when we stopped by here so we did not get as much food as we wanted. We did get the rice noodle with fish balls and sauce which was absolutely delicious. The Ovaltine Crunchy Lava French Toast was the star of the show and was so good. Their drinks were also much larger in size than I expected. Overall - a solid Hong Kong style cafe in Brooklyn, their prices were slightly more expensive for some of their items but not terrible. I'm excited to come back to try some of their other lunch items.

Came back in the winter to try their salt and pepper squid appetizer, satay beef how fun, and baked chicken cutlet over spaghetti. I recommend all three! Everything was tender and had balanced seasoning. Service was moderate though- had to flag waiter down to get our orders taken but what was nice was that there was no pressure to leave quickly. Love the booth seating.

Love the decor starting off. No water or tea given; asked for 20 mins and waiter didn't bring it until asked again. Service pretty quick. Beef with noodles was the best dish there and yet the noodles were still bland. Beef was good though. Fishball with rice rolls is absolutely no. It's got this gelatin texture sauce and the sweetness is very overpowering. It's small as well. The Singapore stir fry virmencilli was ok. Nothing special. Love the drinks; I got the signature red bean drink. Was going to give a 15% tip and asked for two 5's out of the $10. The lady decided to take the full $10 instead and not give any change. Which shouldn't be up to her anyways.

Top: B1. Ham and Egg Sandwiches Bottom: B8. Hk Style Waffle

Decor and ambiance exceeded my expectations. Photos are nice but don't capture the allure. But sadly, I was quite disappointed with the food, which was lacking in appearance and pricier than the average HK cafe. Ham and egg sandwich - very sad looking. Taste is decent but looks like something everyone can make at home. Hk style waffle - I was thinking it'd be like the waffles that you can find at snack shops in hk. They're usually big, fragrant, and lathered with peanut sauce + condensed milk without being too overwhelming on the palate. But when I opened the box, I was surprised by the small size and uneven cutting. Literally the size of those dash mini waffles. Definitely not worth it for $7+. I think they added peanut sauce and crushed peanuts on the inside. I appreciate the creativity with the crushed peanuts, but the texture and peanut butter used made it too heavy. It had very minimal condensed milk, so I decided to add some extra condensed milk at home but it made it even heavier, which is my fault. I would not recommend this. Scrambled egg with satay beef pineapple bun - they didn't skimp on the satay beef, which was very tender and saucy. I would've never thought of this combo and I'm still not quite sure how I feel about it, but I'd recommend this to try at least! It's almost $12, which seems kind of pricey for what it is, but it's definitely one of the newer items to grace HK cafes. Maybe we'll be seeing this at more places. Id come back to try their rice/noodle dishes. And I would like to dine in to really bask in the environment.

First thing out of the gate, they fed us raw chicken! Came here to try out the new HK cafe style food and was pretty excited. The menu looked promising and the decor was super retro, giving out HK vibes. Unfortunately, that's where the positive ends for me. Their stuffed french toast was decent. The wings were ok. The salt and pepper squid was good but could have been crispier. The pineapple bun pork sandwich was ok. The biggest issue was the pineapple chicken sandwich which was raw inside. I mean, not even slightly undercooked. My daughter took a bite, said it tasted weird so I cut the sandwich in half and the middle was completely raw. When I flagged the staff to let them know, they said it was just kinda pink. I was tempted to ask him if he would eat that and to take a bite, but ended up sending it back. I didn't enjoy my experience there and the staff lacked any empathy towards what happened. I understand they did not cook the chicken but it's absolutely unacceptable to serve any customers raw chicken. I won't be going back.

Ambiance - lots to see, very fun decor, good place to take pictures and selfie. They have booth seating and accomdate middle size party. Service - pleasant, not bad not extremely good. Food - Overprice!!! not impressive in flavors/taste. there are 2 other similar restaurants in the same neighborhood, since this is a new restaurant, figured we give a try. The Ovaltine French was pretty good. But the Baked Pork Chop spaghetti and Pineapple bun with pork chop was disappointed. The bun have no sauce and the bun itself was way too soft, it would be better if the bun was like the regular pineapple bun texture.

    Rice rolls with fishballs

Had the Fried Chicken, Rice Rolls with Fishballs, Baked Chicken over Rice, and French Toast as well as the HK milk tea. Fried Chicken was crispy and good. The Rice Rolls were good but lack in a bit of flavor. The Baked Chicken was ok not great as it lacked some flavor. It wasn't too hot to begin with. French toast was dried and not so good. Interior was nice, the vibe is like you are in Hong Kong with signs and street view. Service was fast and good. Food was alright, not so great like other HK cafe.

This is such a cute and vibrant spot for Hong Kong cafe food. I loved the interior and the atmosphere here however the food was a bit underwhelming unfortunately. The portions are a bit smaller than I had expected for the iconic cheese baked dishes and unfortunately, they didn't have that punch of flavor that you can usually expect. Overall, it's still a decent place to have a meal and specifically have Hong Kong cafe food.

Recommended by a friend: From the outside, the windows were papered up. I couldn't tell what to expect until I walked in. Inside looked like a cafe in HK. Fake windows with the HK scenery. The back looked like an old HK movie theater with movie posters. -Iced HK milk tea: ok -Rice rolls with peanut butter and hoisin sauce: -toast with peanut butter and condensed milk: the bread looked so thin and sad Could have been presented better. Maybe try thick toast. -Portuguese chicken cutlet with spaghetti: This was the best. Chicken was crispy and the sauce wasn't too salty or heavy. Spaghetti wasn't soggy or undercooked. I would reorder this dish. 1 huge gender neutral bathroom. Clean. Has a sculpture covering its eyes--Like he doesn't want to see you pee. Wish there was an extra stall. Had to wait a bit.

Very cute decor that you don't usually find in this neck of Brooklyn. I grew up eating HK type of food so it's a craving I get here and there and also some nostalgia tied to it. The interior gives you a Hong Kong vibe from the early 80s(?). The food itself is mediocre. It's not bad, but I've definitely had better versions of the items on their menu. The thing I was looking forward to eating the most was actually the most disappointing...the waffle with condensed milk and peanut butter. It did not taste like how I remembered from my childhood. The waffle was soft and tasted cheap, it wasn't enough condensed milk and had no crunch to it. Overall, I had higher expectations of the food.

    Scrambled egg seafood chow fun
    Holly C.

Came here over the holidays and it was fairly empty on a Thursday night with my family. We ordered scrambled egg and seafood chow fun, baked pork chop rice, Hk style western style fried spaghetti, satay beef noodles, and rice rolls with mixed sauce. They definitely excel in their stir fry dishes as they all came out with a lot of "wok Hei". The scrambled egg seafood chow fun was one of our favorite dish. The noodles were smooth and al dente, the sauce was well balanced without it being too salty and it was loaded with many seafood such as shrimp, scallops and calamari. They were all very big and fresh. Their western style fried spaghetti, although well made technique wise, I felt it was a little too sour to my liking. The salty beef noodle was one of my favorite and it's the flavor was legit like how you would get it if you were in Hong Kong. The peanut butter was very fragrant and I can taste a hint of curry. The amount of beef that was given was also more than what you typically get in other hk style cafes. Unfortunately, they fell short on the baked pork chop rice and the rice rolls. The pork chop rice portion was on the smaller side and although they used a really good piece of meat (versus some places gives you really fatty meat you hardly have anything to eat), it's missing the onions and bell peppers which is needed for the distinct taste in the sauce. The rice rolls were also not steamed long enough so it was a little hard. We also ordered their iced lemon tea and although it's a little too sweet for me (and it's my fault for forgetting to order less sweet), I felt it had a strong tea flavor and one of the best ones I've had in the area including KST and legend cafe. The restaurant has an old Hong Kong vibe, like what the newer hk style cafes are like nowadays. It's clean and spacious including the restroom. The staff were friendly and we didn't feel pressured or rushed but it could be because they weren't busy at that time. I would definitely come back again to try other items on their menu.

    Sarah Z.

Good new addition to the neighborhood. A more modern decor to the typical HK style cafes around the area. Was able to sample the menu before its grand opening and was really impressed with the flavors. The beef stew noodles were definitely the highlight for me. The beef was well cooked and super tender, best I've had. The curry fish balls had that curry taste and well seasoned. The salt pepper squid was good too. The baked rice casseroles were a good portion size. Only disappointment are the drinks -- coconut jelly drink was a slush but not very flavorful. I would say that the pricing is a bit more expensive than other nearby HK cafes though. Ordered takeout from here few times as well. Friendly staff.
