Absolutely LOVED this cafe! I've always wanted to visit their NYC and/or DC location but never had the time to go so I was super excited to hear they opened one in Ardmore As soon as I walked in I was met with a very long line which was expected as it was 11AM on a Saturday. My friend and I ordered the pastry assortment to share which came with 3 pastries (Maman chooses 2 and you pick one). We each took a bite of each of the pastries and thought they were good and went well with our coffee. For brunch, we ordered papa's breakfast bowl and the Lindsay's chicken salad sandwich which were both delicious! The bacon jam in the breakfast bowl complimented the potatoes really well and was overall a great breakfast meal. The chicken salad was made really well too and was very tasty! Also want to note that the staff there is great! They bring you your food and bring you water which was really nice. They were very sweet and helpful when I had questions about what to do with our finished dishes. This place is such great spot for coffee and breakfast! I will definitely be coming back again soon and would def recommend if you're in the area read more

Maman is a bakery chain that recently opened here in Ardmore! It's a restaurant and coffee shop with plenty of pastries, a decent coffee menu, and a selection of sandwiches and soups. I got the Honey Lavender Latte which was delicious. Not too sweet, but there was a good amount of lavender flavor from the syrup. My friend got the seasonal latte which was a pumpkin pie spice one. The latte barely had any hints of pumpkin which wasn't worth it - it tasted like a regular latte topped with cinnamon powder unfortunately. The pastries looked amazing on display so we'll definitely be back for that! The foods also looked tasty. The space is beautifully decorated, bright and clean. There's a handful of different sized tables, accommodating 6 people maximum for the bigger tables. Service was a little slow and slightly unorganized but given that it is newly opened, it looks like they're still figuring out their flow. We went for brunch and ordered: Biscuit, scallion scone, waffles, and vanilla latte & lavender latte. We were excited that there was a Maman location in PA after we tried the Chelsea location in NY. We really enjoyed the service & food in NY and expected the same experience here. On Saturday morning around 11AM, it was super busy and we had to wait about 10-15min to get a table. The waffles were 2 small pieces, smaller than my hand and was $16. Vanilla latte just tasted like milk with few drops of coffee. Lavender latte lacked flavor compared to the one we had in NY. Biscuit and scallion scone just tasted like flour. It had no flavor what so ever and they charge $3 for jam which is ridiculous. At least give me free jam for this to add some sort of flavor for this bland pastry. The total came out to be $45. The whole meal was not worth that price. The cups and plates are very cute though lol read more

The wife met her friend for lunch and grabbed some dessert for after dinner. The newest location in Ardmore. Maman French Bakery based out of New York had a whole plethora of interesting looking baked goods so she grabbed a bunch. Everything was very good certainly artisanal but the real standout was the Pina colada croissant cube. The cream that oozed out of it was absolutely blissfully stupendous. Welp. First & last time going to Maman. Each and every one of the employees I came in contact with were rude, nasty, and unfriendly. The woman taking my order became annoyed at questions I had about the menu. She was short in answering my questions and just genuinely cold. As I have allergies, I asked the barista if I could see the ingredient label of the almond milk... she held up the bottle from a far instead of allowing me to hold it for myself and then after asking again, handed it to me with rolling eyes. The last interaction was the worst. As I was watching the cook prepare my eggplant panini, I saw her struggling to squirt out my romesco sauce into a to-go condiment cup. Finally, she got some sauce to fill about 1/4 of the cup up. I had asked the waitress(or expo or whatever) who handed me my order if she could put some more romesco sauce into the cup. The waitress scoffed at me and said "you know, if you want extra sauce next time you're going to need to tell the cashier" and handed me back more sauce from the cook without another word. However, I didn't want "extra" sauce, I just wanted to get my fair portion of sauce that comes with the sandwich! This was absolutely ridiculous. All these interactions left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. And no greeting or goodbye either Was hoping the food would redeem this terrible customer service- but it was sadly just mediocre. Ingredients tasted far from fresh and flavor was lacking. Was really hoping to open this place with open arms into the suburban square community, but I will be warning people to stay away. As I came once more to see how it's going at a once beloved cafe, I am sadly even more disappointed. I understand that as someone who goes early to cafes, I saw two other patrons waiting to order and being utterly ignored by the two employees in the front. The guy was asking questions to the cashier having selective hearing - she definitely knew to respond to her coworker but not the customer. I was baffled and saw that despite being early, there literally was nothing for pastries available. I asked whether any baked goods were ready like croissants and I swear the look I got was something else! The employees didn't know and had to ask...the other two customers to just leave since they were ignored and getting no response. Magically, plain croissants appeared and the employee once again ignored my existence to place them on display...the other employee was picking at her nails and playing with her hair while watching. When they FINALLY decided to address my presence, they were incredibly rude when I asked about other baked goods since from my vantage point, you could see the different baked goods all lined up waiting to be displayed. They rolled their eyes and proclaimed that whatever was currently out was all they had. Um...then why did you place the croissants after I asked about them? But alright. I got them and they were alright, nothing grand. I thought it had to be newbie nerves and what not but honestly? I think it's just poor attitude. Oh, those two customers ended up at the Starbucks up the street and I wish I had done the same. My latte was mediocre and it's just a shame overall. Really wanted to like this store... and went here not just once but 3x on different day and time of the week to see if there was a difference. Ambience is cute. Pastries are average considering its competition. The real issue here are the drinks. 1. Matcha latte: have had countless matchas in the past and not sure the brand theyre using but it was bitter 2. Chai latte: watery! Again not sure if they make their own brew but it really needs to be revisited 3. Pumpkin latte: i did order an extra shot but not sure if the temp of the espresso machine needs to be recalibrated but it was bitter. And like the other reviewer.. didnt taste like pumpkin... at all!! Not even a smidgen! My daughter was in here with her friend for brunch and she ordered a nonfat matcha latte, smoked salmon, and ratatouille. She drank the latte and informed them it was sour, they proceeded to give her another drink from the same milk, and when she told them it still tasted sour, they gave her an attitude and did not believe her. The employee informed the one making the drink that this was the second order that she said tasted sour. My daughter then switched it to whole milk to which it was fine. They did not even comp her the latte, and then later came to her and said that my daughter was right, the milk was bad!! Believe it when your customers say so, don't redo the drink from the same source, and you should have done something nice to my daughter for the time and trouble, and not believing her! read more

I love this spot. It's expensive for lunch for two people but if you're up for a splurge, it's great food. Service is great, very friendly. They could use some sound buffers- it's loud at times. The furniture is not too comfortable. I also cannot for the life of me understand why they have a huge display table in the busy traffic area. Not great for a wheelchair user, strollers, etc. I really hope they do something about that. I almost wish I never ate the pistachio croissants because I dream about them. read more

I wanted to try Maman because of the beautiful decor and Parisian atmosphere... that you can see from outside. That's where the appeal stops because they were playing AC/DC loudly inside. The service was OK, nothing to really comment on there. The food, however, is not worth the money, and is nothing to write home about. The pastries were fine, but were not warmed up, and no one offered to warm them up either. My husband ordered the Elisa breakfast bowl, which was a plate of mostly raw vegetables. My parfait was blah-- $10 for a scoop of Greek yogurt and a scoop of fruit compote, and some bland granola. I would come back for the tea, if anything. All in all, I wouldn't come here for "breakfast." I would get a pastry, a coffee/tea, get a cute pic at the tables and leave. read more

The coffee is excellent but the service is the worst I have experienced in a very long time. The employees working there would not let us sit at a table that accommodates 4 people. Because there is an "invisible line" in the second half of the cafe that you can't pass because the employees don't want to sweep it again at closing - this was at 4:30pm well before their closing time. There was no where else to sit except for 3 bar stools and one of us stood. Meanwhile 3 tables that sat 4 to 6 had to remain empty...also 3 employees sat and chit chatted at the back table. Then went to go to the trash can to throw something away and was aggressively and rudely spoken to by another employee (as I had crossed the invisible line of the second half of the cafe). There are so many better locally owned coffee/cafe/lunch spots in Ardmore- skip this outsider chain. Don't let the Taylor Swift ambiance fool you- staff is undertrained, coffee taste like water, food is simply bland. My girlfriends reaction after two bites of her egg ratatouille: "this is sad- I can taste the can the tomatoes were in". My $16 chicken salad tartine tasted like cardboard. How old was that sour dough bread?This is likely first and last time coming here as there are so many better spots in Ardmore. Go birds! read more

We just discovered this wonderful spot and liked it so much that we have already returned for another meal. I will be honest and admit that we fell in love with this chain on visits to nyc, and I was so happy to notice it in Ardmore. It doesn't quite have the so very cute ambiance of the nyc cafe we've visited but the food is just as delicious. They have bakery and coffee available for take out, but we stayed for brunch We have tried their omelet and egg ratatouille and both were memorable. Coffee is important to me and theirs is delicious. Our second visit gave us coffee with the creamer already poured in, and I'm not sure that I like that. The service was friendly and attentive. The only negative is that both of our visits we were seated at very small tables so we had to juggle our plates and glasses. We did enjoy both our visits and are looking forward to a third meal there soon. read more
