I know starbucks gives notoriously crazy amount of ice in their drinks. This time was unacceptable. I got a venti drink and the ice was all the way to the lid. Pretty sure I paid extra for the ice and not the drink. Service was quick but it was pretty much just putting ice in a cup. Drink was alright. Definitely going to get light ice next time. The location is nice and there's a lot of seating. I asked for a simple black iced coffee with light ice. I picked up my coffee and the sticker just said tall black iced. They forgot the light ice which isn't a big deal. I took a sip and the iced coffee was so sweet. I asked the barista if she put sweetener in it and she was acting dumb, I asked again and she's like yea I think there is. Just be forward and not lazy! I'm not the biggest fan of Starbucks altogether, but this location is fine. The location is in Suburban Square so it is constantly crowded, but the lines move quick. They have plenty of seating room as well. My friend used the Starbucks app and by the time we got there the food was ready. It was nice and warm as well. All the food had their sides as well. The only problem came when asking for a stopper for my drink as they forgot it. The man gave me sass and said "I don't have any, you have to go over to the counter and get it yourself." It seems like a usual trend at this place. Another barista here is pretty rude and is also upset when you think about your order. They usually have newspapers and k-cups available as well. It's very hit or miss at this location, both with timeliness in being served as well as the employees making your morning beverage. For the most part, the better crew does tend to be there at least 3 out of 4 visits, so that's a plus. I will second what Christopher said about the line though; it is super confusing for people not familiar with the area and I constantly see people asking "Is this the line? Or do I go back here?" What's the point in having a side door that opens half-way through the line that someone has to walk all the way back to the regular door to enter line. Why not just keep that door locked and cause less headaches? I've seen many a newcomer come in that way and look as dazed as a baby bird while they catch their barings and realize the actual line zips way back to the other door or catch them standing in the drink line when they have yet to place an order. Signs or no, I've seen many people have issues with this; just saying, unless headache is one of many things you plan to pick up from starbucks during your morning routine, just enter through the regular door (across from Blue Mercury!) read more

There were many people working here, snuggled up with their laptops or phones facilitating employees or scheduling meetings. Not a particularly relaxing venue. This is a very busy Starbucks. I had opportunity to spend an hour or so here while waiting for my daughter and her entourage as they were shopping for a wedding dress. I'm really not sure what all of the complaints here are about. It might be because I purposefully try to avoid Suburban Square during high-traffic times (like the middle of the afternoon on Saturday) but I've never had a bad experience. True, the line can be very long sometimes but that's to be expected for a coffee shop in a popular shopping hot spot. In my opinion, the service is very quick and efficient. It'd be nice to see more of the employees smile, but they've never messed up any order of mine. I've come here to work on assignments for graduate school plenty of times. I have been bitching about this for several months, but this is the only starbucks in the world that puts customers through a maze to get to the front counter. And be careful because the side door opens right into the middle of the line and you have to make your way to the back like you going the wrong way as on the airplane as everyone is leaving. Early morning regular customer here. Baristas are friendly and knowledgeable. Once you're a regular, they have your coffee ready for you almost before you step up to the counter. Lines back up later in the day, and it can get noisy and a bit chaotic, but early morning is nice and quiet. read more

I always come here for Starbucks before a shift before work. Every time I order mobile, it takes about 15 minutes to get a drink with the barista making everyone in-store drinks before mobile orders. They usually only have 1 barista and 1 cashier during the weekend when this is a very busy Starbucks. I can't depend on coming 10 minutes before my shift because it typically takes more than 10 minutes from waiting in line, to ordering, and then getting my drink made. They should definitely have some more people on staff. read more

Staff is helpful and perky on weekday mornings. The lines can be very long and at times slow moving. Atmosphere is usually nice, with a cozy space and decent amount of tables. Retail selection is excellent with a great variety of mugs, thermoses, etc. Breakfast sandwiches always stocked and available, even if they're not in the case. Usually better to go early as the line can get long later in the morning. Clean restrooms. K-cups and other take-out coffee readily available. Your water filters needs to be replaced. I have had cold-brew black on two occasions. Out of a several month period. Both did not taste good. Then tried your water, from the filter. It tastes like typical Philadelphia tap water. Not very good. You know that taste. GET YOUR FILTER CLEANED/CHANGED, etc. Filtered water is essential for good tasting coffee. Coffee is 98% water. I imagine other drinks may not be affected as much. But certainly your hot coffee that you guys brew in mass amounts behind the cashier probably would. Frappachinos, caffe macchiatos, drinks like that probably would be to overpowered by the other flavors in there to notice. Or you may not notice if you add flavors or sugar to your drip coffee. I have had better cold-brew from other locations. It was black, nothing added. Their water tasted fine. I would recommend getting on this ASAP. Friendly staff, little slow. I try to avoid Starbucks and try to go for local coffee instead but I couldn't find another coffee option around. I've never gotten outstanding coffee from here and that hasn't changed but this review is solely being written for the staff. Asia, the young lady working the counter was so sweet and gentle even with the line being stretched out. I know I wouldn't have been able to remain graceful with that stress. Siaka is the man who was HUSTLING with this line and getting everything out fast and with a smile. Again, something I couldn't do and deserves to be praised. With the snooty customers that come in and out of this place, I'm glad they remain kind.
