Wallace Dry Goods is a pretty inviting and cozy retail space for non alcoholic beverages and ingredients. Being not much of a drinker, this place definitely caught my eye. Going in, I didn't have much knowledge of the world of non alcoholic beverages. Most of my experiences at restaurants are either a glass of seltzer and juice, or some version of a soda. And my experiences with retail spaces with non alcoholic ingredients tend to be seeing these goods in a small section in the corner. Wallace Dry Goods, does a fantastic job at showcasing their non alcoholic products, giving variety, sourcing locally, and even collaborating with Philly establishments. After peaking my interest, I had to chat with the owner and she was a joy~ Something that really resonated with me during our conversation was her inspiration behind opening the store. She painted the picture of "ever feel like partaking in a social drinking event but can't/not wanting to have an alcohol beverage?" Having a juice or water doesn't have the same feel as having a cocktail in your hand, hence the motivation behind nonalcoholic drinks or Mocktails. I was drawn in because I have always been that person at an event or table where everyone is ordering a drink and I would feel left out if I didn't order one, but I knew I wouldn't enjoy drinking it or even dealing with the aftermath. After getting the full picture, I saw the mission was more than selling non alcoholic goods, it was about reaching out to the community and giving them that option. The owner mentioned getting in touch with local businesses and mixologists in Philly to contribute to ever growing industry that is non alcoholic drinks. No more seltzer, juice, and simple syrup or a take on ginger ale. How about an old fashion, but non alcoholic? That's the goal and Wallace Dry Goods is here to deliver! Definitely give this place a try. I will be honest, some of these non alcoholic ingredients might not be what you expect, especially since some of it is the base version with the alcohol extracted out. So definitely chat with the staff and even the mixologist behind the counter. And if you are still unsure, no worries, Wallace Dry Goods has you covered. They have ticketed tastings and even a mixology class! I've never gone, but definitely sounds like a great date night idea!

I recently quit drinking and I wanted to treat myself to some alcohol alternatives for our upcoming vacation.

Be the first to review my favorite local beer store on here? Don't mind if I do!…read more When I first heard that my beloved Beer Shoppe (https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-beer-shoppe-ardmore) was closing towards the end of 2020, it was another horrible thing to chalk up to that terrible, horrible, no good, very bad year! But unlike other things from that time period, this one didn't end up being as much of a big loss, because I learned that a new beer distributor would be opening up just few doors down, and when it did I learned that it maintained a lot of the same awesome staff and quite possibly an even better beer selection. As a distributor, it doesn't have amenities like the food and whiskey bar that the Beer Shoppe had. But it does give you the ability to grab beer to go by the case, twelve-pack, six-pack, four-pack, and even as singles. You can even fill your growler with their selection of drafts, or take home an alcoholic slushie. LMB isn't the biggest distributor I've been to by any stretch, but they make do with their space to bring in enough things to keep any level of beer nerd satisfied. You can take home a case of Corona or the lite stuff for your casual beer drinking uncle, load up on local brewers like New Trail and Twisted Gingers, imported brewers like Unibroue and all those Belgians, plenty of seasonal brews with it currently be the dark wintery season, and a lot of harder to find beers.

Perfect for summer. There are plenty of Rupee beer. As a matter of fact, more of them were arriving. There were not many of the mango kind. I hope they are restocking them. They also carry beer that I saw in Spain.

Harmony Beverage I…read morenormally don't leave reviews, but after what my son experienced this past weekend, I feel the need to speak up. My son (22), his cousin, and his best friend all over 21 stopped into this store while visiting the Poconos. From the moment they walked in, they were made to feel uncomfortable. They were not greeted and were clearly being watched and followed around the store. One of the clerks kept going to the back, making it very obvious that they were being monitored. I understand stores need to prevent theft, but that's not the issue. The issue is how it was handled. These young men were treated like suspects instead of customers. When my son went to the register and politely greeted the clerk, he was ignored. The clerk immediately demanded his ID, which my son handed over with no problem. Being carded wasn't the issue, the lack of professionalism and basic courtesy was. My son is a cybersecurity major at Penn State and was raised with strong values. He, his cousin, and his friend are respectful, hardworking young men who know right from wrong and would never put anyone at risk or do anything illegal. It's disappointing that in 2026; Black customers can still be treated this way simply based on appearance and should not be penalized or judged because of what those that look like us do. All of us are not bad. People should be judged by their behavior, not how they look. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses how customers are treated. No one should feel uncomfortable or unwelcome in a place they're spending money.
