I am updating my review from 2 months ago back in May. I held back in my original review and was…read moregenerous and gave these guys a 4* but with comments highlighting my concerns about the lack of masks both among the employees and from entering customers. I went in again a 2nd time and visited a 3rd time just in the past few days. The employees STILL do not wear masks. There is a sign on the door that firmly demands that anyone entering the store must wear a mask but the staff do not abide by their own rules. They have a glass shield at the counter so I guess that's one effort they have made to try and stop the virus spread. However, when cases are rising all over the US on a daily basis, employees should at least cover their nose and mouth to give more comfort to customers who are wearing masks to protect them from our germs. So I have downgraded my generous 4* to a realistic 1* due to the lack of masks worn by staff. I support local businesses and if this business will begin to take mask wearing and people's health safety into more consideration, then I will consider revising my nasty review and potentially moving their rating back up to a more generous level. But only if I know that these guys are finally taking this thing seriously. My review from May 2020 below: So, they have a sign that says you need to wear a mask but the employee is walking around without a mask. As I'm grabbing a case of beer I see a customer coming in with no mask. Then another customer enters and he ALSO isn't wearing a mask. So now I'm the only idiot in the store with a mask on. It was like I magically got transported back in time to three months ago. So if you think masks are a nuisance and you don't feel like wearing one then get your beer here. It's a bit pricier than the grocery stores but you will skip the long line. But, the cashiers did not wear masks (COVID). They have a really good beer selection, albeit a small one. They have what can only be a 'select' variety of choices. You can speak with the chaps and chapettes at the counter for all kinds of knowledgeable answers for everything they have in stock. As for the restaurant next door, it's a good little spot! The kitchen is decent enough to pop out some tasty dishes. My sister and I grabbed a burger there once. it wasn't too bad. But I am here for the beer and the cozy vibes. I've seen folks bring dogs, small children (it's a quiet spot, it doesn't scream family friendly) and older folks too. I love the Greeks, really I do. Just keep in mind, the next few years there is some kind of living complex being built directly across the street of this quaint tiny little town. Expect things to change. Ya best appreciate this place the way it is! They just don't make 'em like this anymore.

Its just that they ask for what they want at the front door and that person will go and get it for you and put it into your car regardless of the order amount!! Selection is incredible for not being a huge store. There is ice, slushies, huge variety of large single can beers, 6 packs, 12 packs, 18 packs, 24 packs and even 36 packs. Bottles & Cans this place is great to browse or to be in and out. Lottery is played here as well as a huge selection of scratch off tickets in a machine! I wouldn't type this much if I didnt recommend this beer store!

Just remarkable speed and care. I had like five people ask me if I was good while I was waiting for a beer just the exact speed you want from a bar. This place is just remarkable. At that time, there was a good sized crowd inside and everyone seemed to be having a great time. I paid for my vegan pizza, and then without drawing too much attention to myself, walked into the restaurant and went to the second floor that was reserved for us. My pizza was excellent. The Vegan Blanco Vegan Mozzarella, Tofu Ricotta, Sauteed Spinach, EVOO, Garlic I haven't had pizza in about 3 months so i was definitely looking forward to it. I really enjoyed how they did the Tofu Ricotta the Vegan Mozzarella. My only critique is this - When working with vegan cheese - especially shredded, let it sit at room temperature before popping it in the oven. By doing this, you avoid the 'matchstick' look on the pizza. What happens is that the vegan cheese going from cold to hot is too extreme so it doesn't melt, or spread out - it essentially cooks / burns in place. Having worked with vegan cheese companies over the years, there is a misconception that it is bad to leave the vegan cheese outside on the countertop - not really, it's not cheese. I devoured my pizza and appreciated having a vegan option besides fries and a veggie medley.

I…read morecan't say that I know for sure if and when the business changed hands but it has improved since past visits. First, the shelves are organized and stocked. It is not huge so in addition to the usual space hoards (Miller lite, Bud light, Claw) they have a few types of ciders, some rows where you'll find Bell's and other smaller brew stuff and recently surprised to see Maine Brewing Peeper offered. Staff is attentive and building is just in better aesthetic shape.

Havertownians sure must like their beer! This place is very typical. A big selection of domestics. A decent selection of Belgians and other imports. Specials on cases every week. One downside is that their cooler is a little small so the cold beer selection is limited compared to some places. Friendly people. Generally speaking a fine place to grab a case or two.

I love that they have a few frozen drink options and also on-tap rotating seasonal mixed drinks. I believe they have wine and some NA options too. We frequent here for bingo Sundays and they also have trivia and a few other weekly events. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They have rotating food trucks but you can also bring your own food as well. There is indoor and a covered outdoor area for seating with a great ambiance & vibe. Children and dogs are welcome.
