Its just that they ask for what they want at the front door and that person will go and get it for you and put it into your car regardless of the order amount!! Selection is incredible for not being a huge store. There is ice, slushies, huge variety of large single can beers, 6 packs, 12 packs, 18 packs, 24 packs and even 36 packs. Bottles & Cans this place is great to browse or to be in and out. Lottery is played here as well as a huge selection of scratch off tickets in a machine! Don't mind if I do!…read more When I first heard that my beloved Beer Shoppe (https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-beer-shoppe-ardmore) was closing towards the end of 2020, it was another horrible thing to chalk up to that terrible, horrible, no good, very bad year! But unlike other things from that time period, this one didn't end up being as much of a big loss, because I learned that a new beer distributor would be opening up just few doors down, and when it did I learned that it maintained a lot of the same awesome staff and quite possibly an even better beer selection. As a distributor, it doesn't have amenities like the food and whiskey bar that the Beer Shoppe had. But it does give you the ability to grab beer to go by the case, twelve-pack, six-pack, four-pack, and even as singles. You can even fill your growler with their selection of drafts, or take home an alcoholic slushie. LMB isn't the biggest distributor I've been to by any stretch, but they make do with their space to bring in enough things to keep any level of beer nerd satisfied. You can take home a case of Corona or the lite stuff for your casual beer drinking uncle, load up on local brewers like New Trail and Twisted Gingers, imported brewers like Unibroue and all those Belgians, plenty of seasonal brews with it currently be the dark wintery season, and a lot of harder to find beers.

Compared to spots like the Beer Yard, Kunda Bev, and some distributors that you'll find in the city; Ardmore Park does leave a bit to be desired in selection. But they're consistent with the offerings that they bring in, and often times sell cases at the better price point compared to their competitors. And when you can't find something that they've sold previously they do a good job of bringing in during a future shipment.

They now have shelving, which is a fantastic upgrade, from the stacks of cases they had before. The cases weren't the same type, so you might have a beer on the bottom of a pile and have to move everything to get it. It's still worth it, because it's the only way to have so much variety. The staff are friendly and one time they asked if I would be willing to open a case of beer I purchased, that they had not tried and trade them a six-pack. I was open to the idea and got my eighteen beers and six other interesting things. I don't make it there as much as I should, so I'm sure my liver thanks me, but every time I go there, I bring home a nice variety of items.

The woman who was there on that visit was very nice to lead me to what they had, and didn't try to sell me on something she could tell I didn't want. She even recommended a brand she liked and told me it's a lot cheaper at Acme. WOW! Above and beyond, and totally looking out for the customer. A+ I ended up squeezing my own limes and lemons (or rather my husband did), but I will always remember how genuine that woman was to really try to help me, as a person, and not just a sale. We visit every so often for Makers Mark or Woodford. They have been kind to reserve things and keep at the reg, when we call ahead, for a quick in and out.
