I used to live in the Neighborhood and when this spot opened a few years ago I gave it a try. Well it's worth it. From the basic coffee to the food it's always delicious and fast. I personally love a plain iced coffee with a little cream and their ham and cheese croissant. It's a nice, comfortable, quiet place to sit and enjoy a light breakfast or just a coffee. The staff has always been great and it's always clean. I wish I could go more but, only get to stop by if I'm working in the area. read more

I would definitely try Thunder Mug again. The latte was decent. And so was the food I tried. A breakfast sandwich and a feta cheese stuffed pastry. Barista seemed really busy even though I was the only person in there? Definitely was not interested in making any small talk at all, but hey, I cant blame him lol. Slowly this place has become my absolute go to for coffee. Their regular drip is great. Comfy, cozy atmosphere on the inside. No wonder this is five stars across the board. My favorite spot for unique pastries and good coffee. Thundermug is a hidden gem and always has such a good variety of pastries to pair with your morning coffee. They also have an outdoor patio with lots of seating inside. The service is always so helpful and informative. I see them at the farmers market and always grab a coffee in passing. I had some friends recommend Thunder Mugs as a nice, local coffee joint. The type of place you could pop in for your daily coffee. We wanted to try somewhere new and you're able to order online. We did an order of some coffee and pastries. I had an iced mocha, a cheese danish, and a croissant. Coffee was delicious. Nice chocolate flavor. The croissant and cheese danish had a perfect pastry. Rode our bikes up to East Falls on July 4th. This was literally the only place open but turned out to be a great problem to run into. Came a bit late in the morning so only had the jalepeno cheddar bagels left - had a lox sandwich on that. Not too much cream cheese, came with a pickle which was nice. Simple but done well. Also had some sort of pastry (like an unfilled doughnut) which was just perfectly cooked - I forget where they get their baked goods from but it was excellent. Like biting into a cloud and not too sweet. My wife's iced coffee was great too. It was surprisingly busy so I felt bad for the one guy that was working, but we was still pretty friendly and quick. Cozy and well decorated with cool artwork on the wall and some nice furniture. Quiet and a good place to work. If it wasn't nowhere near where we live we'd be back for sure! read more

Decided to check out this cafe based on the positive reviews but ended up leaving disappointed. We got the cinnamon raisin toast from Ursa Bakery and the beignets from Au Fournil along with a hot tea. The bread was the highlight. Service wasn't great. Little things like curt, vague answers and handing us a bread basket with the knife blade sticking out just make the service seem thoughtless. Nothing really to make us want to go back. read more

Great coffee shop! There's plenty of indoor seating and a few tables outside. It's right across the street from a park and a very short walk to the River Trail. There is one step to enter, but we were still able to enter with our stroller. My husband ordered a regular coffee and said it was good - I went with the iced oat milk lavender latte and it was outstanding. I don't think I've ordered a lavender latte before (normally stick with unflavored or vanilla) but it was delicious and among the best lattes I've ever enjoyed. They had quite a few pastry options, including vegan items from Crust. I went with the vegan Brookie and it was so good - would have never guessed it was made without butter. They do have food options which is a plus being that most do not and they also support local bakeries by selling those in the shop as well. Good variety of coffee, nice workers. Lovely little coffee shop on Ridge in East Falls. It's a good place to work or catch up with a friend over a cup of hot coffee. They provide donuts and pastries from local vendors and they are quite friendly. While I typically go for a cup of black drip coffee, they have a ton of varieties. When it's a nice day, they also have tables outdoors. They're great about updating their instagram with photos of the latest baked goods. Definitely amongst my favorite Philly coffee stops. read more

This place is awesome! The owners are extremely kind and personable. I love coming in and makes my heart nice and warm hearing them greeting me in the morning when I make my coffee run. Although it is small in the inside, it's very nice and cozy. The drinks as well are great. They're always looking for ways to improve themselves which I greatly admire! Great spot. Attention to quality very evident. I appreciated a very well-made London fog. Also the vegan brownie thing hit the spot. When I'm depressed, sugar and caffeine are my go to's. They never let me down. Suggestion: put a folding sign out on the sidewalk. It's very easy to drive by the store and miss it completely. read more
