I was just in town overnight in Philly but had a hankering for breakfast so I checked Yelp for somewhere close to my Airbnb to get coffee. The Landing Kitchen popped up with great reviews. What a delight! This cute gem of a coffee shop is located in the Ironworks at Pencoyd Landing. It offers spacious outside seating with games for kids and adults, a tasty menu of breakfast, sandwiches, salads and bowls, plus a very cool ambiance with its original ironworks crane beams on display. I really enjoyed an avocado toast breakfast with a latte, followed by a walk over the bridge. So cool! Great service here with friendly workers.
Such a cool place to sit outside! I'm obsessed with the Vietnamese iced coffee from here. The hot coffee- not so much... kinda bitter. Breakfast sandwiches and toasts are very good. Astronomically priced and small portions but very high quality. The atmosphere makes this place! We love coming here
The Landing Kitchen is a very good but puzzling quick serve restaurant with an upscale coffee house vibe, a diverse menu of salads, sandwiches, bowls, and specials (including a kids menu), and a liquor license ... but closes at 6:00pm daily. As quick serve restaurants go, the vibe is great and the food quality is good, though salads and bowls can be overdressed, so when you order, ask for light dressing (or on the side).
Stopped by The Landing Kitchen on a cold early-December evening, and honestly? Their coffee should come with a cape because it saved me. One sip and suddenly I wasn't cold, tired, or questioning all my life choices anymore. It was rich, warm, and tasted like the barista whispered "you got this" into the cup before handing it over. If all winter nights came with coffee like that, I'd stop pretending I hate the cold. 10/10 would freeze outside again just to feel that first magical sip.
Honestly one of my favorite places for coffee and a space to work in the city. Living closer to Center City, it's nice to get away, see some green, and get a place that's usually quieter to work. I've been here a few times at this point, and this place is nice regardless of season. They have the main cafe, an outdoor area for the warmer months and even a heated tent when it's cooler. There's even the lobby of the next door hotel that we've taken our food and drinks too. Wi-fi in all places is solid for deep work. Service is always great and quick. Food sometimes took a bit longer than usual, but that always coincided with busy times. Today I got a chai for dine-in and it was out as soon as I set my backpack down at a table. Ended up staying for a few hours of relaxing productive cafe time.
I love this setting! The outdoor space seems phenomenal for a good sized group of friends, we plan to return and try it out. We came for breakfast sandwiches, they have two. The gardener and the slammer. The gardener is a fried egg, hash brown, sour cream chive on a roll. The slammer is a chicken sausage patty, fried egg, cheese on a roll. Both we delicious. Friendly staff, plenty of seating and fun energetic atmosphere.
If you're looking for a place to pick up something quick or a place to have a meal while you work or get coffee with a friend- this one's great! While they don't have a huge menu, I'd say it's a step up from your normal coffee shop because they offer lunch and dinner items and they even have cocktails! If you go when the weather is warmer they also have a beautiful outdoor space.
If I ever got to "work from home", this would be my "office" .... I say that cus around 10 am on a weekday there were like 15 work meetings taking place. To be fair, there was also one in-person meeting taking place. From hipsters, to streamers, to me and my millennial family vacation ... all seemed welcome! Why would I work from here? Because they have fantastic ambiance! I loved the fake flower displays, wonderful outside seating options, the steel beams, and the mixed open cafe style vibe... they also had games for kids. Seemed like a place that knows how to cater to a wide variety of clientele and varying levels of "work from home". Service was friendly. I'm not just rating the place on the vibe. The food was amazing. We had the waffle and the breakfast sandwich. Definitely a great spot to visit before our ropes course just up the way!
The ambiance of the outdoor space is a 10/10. They have so many fun activity to distract you and your family while you wait for your meal. Unfortunately, I would say the food here was horrible. We came on the weekend afternoon and were so excited based on the decor, but it was like getting food at the airport. We tried a Vietnamese coffee which was so overly sweetened that we couldn't even drink it. We then moved on to a noodle salad which tasted so basic that I think you could find this at any supermarket. We then tried the overnight oats and a bagel. The oats were a strange consistency and tasted like something you could make in 5 minutes from home. Maybe we chose the wrong items, but this was definitely a disappointment of a meal and SO overpriced!

Great spot. Super casual and comfortable. Perfect outdoor spot. Plenty of seating with a variety of types of seating. Fire pits and a small structure that has heating lamps inside. Cool section for outdoor games like corn hole. You order inside and then someone will deliver your food to you outside. TLK- great flavor but serious kick of spicy. Burger is good. Classic burger nothing special Bloodys are good with a nice spice
Seeing a lot of mixed reviews but this place is amazing! Great environment to study, come by yourself, come with a large group, etc! Gentleman who took my order was extremely polite and kind! Seeing a lot about the food. I got a Berry Banana Smoothie for $6.50 but honestly in this economy, this is. a fair price and I don't know how out of this world you can go with a smoothie. Was refreshing and kept me cool in this wretched 100+ degree weather. Overall very satisfied and will come here again!
This is a great spot for breakfast or lunch! They have plenty of seating with tables and a counter inside, plus covered outdoor seating if you'd rather enjoy some fresh air. I stopped in for lunch and ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich. Wow! The chicken was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with flavor. Then I added a side of Onion Rings, and let me tell you, these easily rank in my Top 4 onion rings of all time. Perfectly cooked, crispy, and absolutely delicious. My future daughter-in-law ordered the Ricotta & Fruit Toast, and it looked amazing. Fresh, colorful, and almost too pretty to eat... almost. If you're out walking the trails by the river and start feeling hungry, do yourself a favor and stop in. Whether you're looking for breakfast, lunch, or just a great place to relax for a bit, you won't be disappointed. And if you're ordering the onion rings, don't plan on sharing--they're that good! read more

I truly enjoy this space and concept especially as a parent who enjoys brunch. The space is tailored to brunch and lunch options while keeping children entertained through activities and play areas that they thoroughly enjoy. You order your meal and you are given a number. You take your number to an area or table of your desire and they will bring the meal out to you. They've had interactive story times, games, with a lot of space to run around to get all their kids energy out. Great space to meet up with other families and friends. read more

I've been here a few times at this point, and this place is nice regardless of season. They have the main cafe, an outdoor area for the warmer months and even a heated tent when it's cooler. There's even the lobby of the next door hotel that we've taken our food and drinks too. Wi-fi in all places is solid for deep work. Service is always great and quick. Food sometimes took a bit longer than usual, but that always coincided with busy times. Today I got a chai for dine-in and it was out as soon as I set my backpack down at a table. If I ever got to "work from home", this would be my "office" .... I say that cus around 10 am on a weekday there were like 15 work meetings taking place. To be fair, there was also one in-person meeting taking place. From hipsters, to streamers, to me and my millennial family vacation ... all seemed welcome! Why would I work from here? An American brunch place with a cool industrial vibe. It appears to be a repurposed garage with a number of outdoor seating and games. Food is on the pricier side for what you get, but the quality is good. I got their grain bowl and it was packed with a lot of different veggies, feta, nuts. Left me quite full. But don't think it's worth $15. Staff were friendly. Free limited parking just outside the spot. Outdoor games include -ping-pong (go inside to request paddles and balls) -connect four -corn hole -a ball role pen (sorry don't know what it's called, see pics) -a pivot chair read more

Nice hidden spot and nice ambiance. Service was good and food came out quick, I ordered the TLK breakfast sandwich was good. Only been here during the day but have seen it light up at night when driving by. It's nice to know there's a bridge you can walk over from Manayunk side too. read more
The Landing Kitchen is a mostly outdoorsy location to hang out with friends, bring children, work remotely, etc. with a scenic view. I highly enjoy this multifaceted place! I've been to The Landing Kitchen a few times with my friend and also a time with her family along with her baby. It's a nice place to have conversations, enjoy being outside, and even play games (which I haven't done yet but want to next time). When you order food there, you have to go inside, and then the staff will hand you a number. You place it on the table, and they'll bring out your food. So far, I tried their sparkling rosé, which was okay to sip on, and the TLK burger with fries, which tasted good. I enjoy going to The Landing Kitchen and would say it has become a favorite spot of mine! Also, there's parking, which is always a plus! read more

I've enjoyed The Landing Kitchen both times I have stayed at the Marriott and the staff is always helpful and friendly. The menu is small but has great options. Today I ordered an iced coffee and their new "Flavor Blasted Grilled Cheese" which has fontina, american, and a creamy tomato reduction on brioche, topped with cheez-it dust. I added smoked ham for $4 extra and it was high quality meat. I have to say it was super tasty! The inside has a good amount of seating and several stools with a long table overlooking the outside patio. The entire design of this space/hotel is revitalized industrial and quite beautiful. read more

The outside shack is closed now but the spot is still so nice.There is some outdoor heating if you need it. I hadn't seen the lights at night before! Still one of my favorite spots. The onion rings are amazing and I typically don't like onion rings read more
One of my go-to spots to work from "home" especially on beautiful fall/spring days! They have a top notch menu (make sure you try their BBQ fries or French onion soup grilled cheese) with end of day alcoholic drink options once you're ready to shut your laptop. This is also a great place to meet up with friends and kid friendly - cornhole, open space, fire pits etc. it's a little $$ but the ambiance is worth it! read more
The ambiance and decor of this place is immaculate. It's perfect for people who want to go work or hang out with friends. Would be a good day time date as well. I actually did not eat there but the food was fantastic. I got the burger and my friend got the grilled cheese. The grilled cheese was crisp and perfectly cheesy. The burger was so juicy and seasoned well. We also got their fries and onion rings - which were *chefs kiss*. Definitely a great place to checkout. read more

I'll start with the cons. Expensive for what you get. You don't get any sides with your $15 sandwich. I think this place is for the athletic type that don't want to eat a bunch. The chairs are large enough for my fat ass. This is the only thing keeping it from being 5 stars. Everything else about this place is golden, pony boy. I feel like I'm on vacation. You walk in order, take a number and seat yourself. The outside area is beautiful. Free open with little fire pits and a tent area. We are seated right next to the water now. So many dogs and if you know me you know that's my jam. I love animals. This is a great place to bring kids I imagine. Those aren't my jam though. They aight. I got the salmon on toast and it was really good. Again it was $15 and it was literally one piece of toast with 5 pieces of folded salmon. My wife got the breakfast sandwich and said that was delicious. Not very big and no sides. You know what, I feel kinda good. I don't feel too full. Maybe this is how you're supposed to feel after a meal and not like a gluttonous monster. We will def be bringing her parents back. read more

Is there a separate kids menu? Would love to go but wondering if there is something my selective kids would eat.
They had a separate menu on a chalkboard that had some kid options. We have the French toast bites for kids. There may have been 1-2 more items on it
