Amazing greasy spoon diner. Good food for good prices. Cash only so be sure to bring some or they have an ATM in the back.

I met the owner's brother randomly one day and he mentioned this place. Ever since then it was on my bucket list - my husband and I tried it out for a low key breakfast date and it did not disappoint. inside, this place is larger than it looks from the outside but has a cozy, old school feel, you look around and you can tell some of the people there are loyal regulars. It feels like a hug on a cold day in there. This no frills place has some good eggs, fluffy pancakes and super friendly staff always waiting to give you coffee refills (the coffee is just ok, for all you coffee snobs out there). this might also be the place to go for a greasy hangover cure. Sit in a booth or sit at the bar/kitchen and have a chat with staff. I bet you'll leave this local favorite in a good mood.

I took my daughter to Bob's Diner. It's advertised as affordable five-star dining, so how could I pass that up? It's located on Ridge, next to a cemetery; which actually makes it kinda peaceful, not creepy. I adore a cute theme and the diner car is fun. It's cozy but not cramped, with plenty of space at the counter. The staff was friendly, though I have to mark down the service since the hostess ignored my daughter and I for two full minutes to pack mugs into a cardboard box while we waited to pay. The prices were reasonable for the portion size, but I wasn't impressed by the pancakes. The bacon was crispy and tasty, the eggs cooked well, and the coffee was average for a diner. Our meal came out to about $25, which was a little high for the quality. The joint is cash only, with an ATM in the back.

Great food, great service in a little space but I will take that any day. We've passed by this place a lot and never stopped here until now and I'm sorry we didn't beforehand. This is a very quaint and tasty joint - do not pass it up. I do have to say you need cash to pay. Things are not very expensive unless you want I guess the steak and eggs. We got a pork roll and cheese and and a bacon egg and hash brown platter with wheat toast and coffee. Additionally we got a pancake - holy pancake - we thought it was going to be a little one - it is HUGE. We will definitely go here again - do not sleep on this joint. I grew up in Jersey and this just reminds me of a small diner. The service is on par for amazingness. The waitress just was so good.

Wow. Boy was that a treat! Great food, better people. They do it right at Bobs. Bob muffin is a must try! Don't say you're from Philly if you've haven't been to Bobs.

I planned on grabbing something to go after the show. As I was perusing the menu I saw several dishes pass by and decided I couldn't wait any longer. In particular I noted the wings and chicken fingers, both of which looked amazing. I got a table next to the bar in their lovely beer garden. Has some TVs, a very friendly staff, and the food looked great. I was blown away by their chicken fingers. Obviously hand breaded, and served with Comeback sauce and your choice of ranch or blue cheese. I ate a few and saved the biggest one for a late night snack. Ended up eating it a couple days later and it was still delicious! I'll have to try the wings next time. Service was great, from hostess to servers, everyone had smiles. Food came out promptly and my drink was refilled without asking. Definitely a good start to the night. The Dungeon Crawl itself was the highlight of the evening! This is in the lounge/bar area of Silk City. It's an intimate setup with the stage in a corner with a dance floor and the bar area and a few tables at the other end. A DJ warms things up while the main act comes on at 8:00. It was Dogs in a Pile for my first visit and I was blown away by the sound and energy. 2 sets of amazing improv and jamming, with a dedicated crowd of music lovers. I can't wait to get to my next one!

One of my friends got the breakfast sandwich called "Trenton makes - the World Takes" and I love the nod to some NJ history. Good food, nice ambiance. This was my first time here but I would definitely come back again.

I had the Power Breakfast, and my wife enjoyed the California Omelette. Both meals were fresh, flavorful, generously portioned, and beautifully prepared. We would absolutely order them again. Our server, Benjamin, deserves special recognition. He was friendly, attentive, checked on us at just the right times, and never made us feel rushed. His service was outstanding and added to an otherwise wonderful dining experience. The only disappointment was the beverage pricing. I'll admit that we typically don't study the menu prices before ordering--that was probably our mistake. After eating in restaurants for more than 70 years, however, I can honestly say these beverage prices are among the most outrageous I've encountered. We were charged $3.99 for a single cup of black coffee and $5.99 for one glass of lemonade--nearly $10 for two beverages. The coffee was simply one ordinary cup of black coffee, and the lemonade was so incredibly sweet that it was almost undrinkable. Neither beverage came close to justifying its price. It's unfortunate because everything else was excellent. The quality of the food, the atmosphere, and Benjamin's exceptional service make Silver Diner a place we would gladly visit again. However, management should seriously reconsider charging nearly $10 for one standard cup of coffee and one mediocre glass of lemonade. Prices like that leave customers feeling taken advantage of and detract from what is otherwise a terrific dining experience. We'll definitely be back--but next time we'll probably skip the beverages unless the pricing becomes more reasonable.

Inside, the food was fresh, plentiful, and delicious. We chose side salads instead of fries and they were a great size to start the meal. I had the open‑face Turkey Reuben and the portion was definitely shareable and very good. My husband had the fish and chips and the cod was fried perfectly, 4 nice fillets, crisp outside and tender inside. He swapped the fries for a baked potato and it tasted like it came straight from the oven, hot and fluffy. They offered a long list of specials for 16.99 that included beverage, soup, salad, an entrée and dessert. The cakes and pies looked fabulous and many were ordering dessert. We were too full this time, but next visit we'll save room. Our waitress, Lala, was wonderfu, attentive, friendly and always checking in at the right moments. The meat was moist, tasty, properly salted, with a discernible bark. The amount of cheese, sauerkraut, & dressing accentuated the pastrami, although so much meat would be hard to impact! It needed the long spear to stay together. But yet I could cut & shave & make mini sandwiches. The potato salad was a great refresher. Not too tart, with carrots, celery, & I could taste onion. The pickle was not too acidic. Great crunch. A nice interlude between bites of the sandwich & potato salad. I took my time. It went into overtime. Washing it down with coke. My taste buds won. Great service. A nice diner like vibe. Incredible menu. We don't have this level of Jewish Deli in the Bay Area. I'd go every week. $36.18 is with it! While I was downtown, I picked up about $92 worth of food, including 1 1/2 pounds of shrimp salad that couldn't be ordered online because, for some reason, the website would not allow it. The very next day, when we went to eat it, something was clearly wrong. The shrimp salad caused a tingling sensation on our tongues, and it was obvious it had gone bad. I called the deli to let them know not just because we couldn't eat it, but because I thought they would want to know if there was a potential issue with the batch. Instead of receiving an apology or any concern, I was met with a dismissive response of, "Oh, that's weird," and the conversation felt condescending. I explained that I couldn't bring the shrimp salad back because I'm leaving town and my mother has limited mobility. I wasn't asking for a refund on our entire order. I simply asked if they could issue a gift card or store credit for the shrimp salad so my mother could use it on a future visit. Every possible solution I suggested was met with an excuse as to why it couldn't be done. The spoiled food was disappointing, but the lack of empathy and customer service was worse. Loyal customers deserve to be treated with respect when they raise a legitimate concern. After years of supporting 4th Street Deli, this experience has unfortunately convinced us that it will be our last visit. I'm reading they have new owners, so maybe it's not the same amazing management we are used to.

We admired the little smiley face on the pancakes! They were so cute. The breakfast sandwich was good, but just okay. It wasn't anything special. I thought the sauce was hot sauce, but it was more of a barbecue sauce dip. I appreciated being able to sub the avocado in the sandwich over the meat without an extra charge to make it vegetarian. Overall, I get the hype, but try to get there early to avoid a long wait. The pancakes are delightful, but very sweet and syrup soaked, so I could only eat about a quarter of it. I'd recommend splitting! Also the cost wasn't bad either - the whole meal for three entrees, taxes, and a tip was pretty average for brunch in the city, costing us each (we split all the food in half) roughly $30.
