    The Smokehouse Pizza ( large)
    Ellen W.

Fun conveniently-located restaurant serving well prepared entrees and quick bites. They have a generously priced happy hour menu including TGB (Chicken) Nuggets, Smashed Burgers and Fries, Philly Cheesesteak Rolls, specialty cocktails and mocktails, etc. and a mouth-watering weekend brunch menu. Waitstaff is always unobtrusively attentive and knowledgeable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sat outside tonight and enjoyed dining al fresco.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Can't go wrong ordering the Smokehouse pizza. It's beautiful (I like looking at it) and amazingly delicious. I highly recommend Goats Beard Manayunk and suggest you get there sooner than later!

Came here with a friend for lunch. We were seated right away and the hostess and wait staff were super friendly and attentive. I ordered the avocado toast and substituted my side salad for French fries. The fries were so good but I was a bit underwhelmed by my avocado toast. Overall, gave it 4 stars because of how attentive the service was.

Italian market fries...Italian pulled pork with shaved provolone over awesome seasoned fries.

When I fly into Philly on business, I always try to build in a little time before leaving to hit the Yunk and The Goat's Beard. Though there are so many good choices in the area, this one is a never miss for me. TGB is more than just a cool name, it's an amazing combination of high quality food and drinks served by a top notch team, top to bottom. Friendly, engaging, no-nonsense...truly repping the Philly ethos. I started with the Italian Market Fries, a newer menu item that's worth getting...and big enough for 2-3 people. Tender pulled pork and shaved provolone over seasoned fries. Awesome! Being from Detroit, I'm picky about "Detroit style" pizza. Theirs is legit and the Philly cheesesteak version was fun. For my tastes, it needed more sauce which they happily supplied. Next time you're anywhere near the Yunk, don't miss The Goat's Beard!

So glad I finally made it here - it wasn't high on my list of restaurants to visit because it's rare that I'm in this area how ever, I have seen and heard favorable reviews about this spot... and after my experience I'm so glad I finally made it! I made reservations online for a Sunday afternoon. When we arrived, it was during a period where the restaurant was only serving a select few items (I can't recall what specifically) so we waited until our waitress informed us that we could order from the extended menu... We ordered mostly apps and a salad... oh, and dessert, which was sinfully delightful! Everything was delicious - great balanced flavor, perfect temperature, and cooked to perfection! Our waitress was helpful, pleasant and the prices were reasonable! Drinks were great also! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is cozy and laid back; and the music that played was good too![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This is a casual, laid back place for tasty food and cocktails. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is definitely that of a neighborhood spot and it feels local and familiar, even if it is your first time[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] (I've actually been here a couple of times!). My daughter ordered the salmon and it was actually really delicious. I ordered the pizza and I was very happy with my order. Our server was friendly and helpful. This is a good place if you happen to be in this area! I recommend!

Holy smokes, talk about amazing use of ingredients a the interesting mix of flavors. There must be a food laboratory in the kitchen. Kudos to the chef and those behind the wonderful menu choices. Our first time in Wayne and as part of our street walking experience is finding interesting food that makes us want to return. This restaurant establishment checked all the boxes for us and then some. Shout out to Rosa who led our experience this midday tour de food experience. We opened by sharing the pulled pork tacos and the seared scallops. Two immensely different dishes that delivered Wow factor flavor and food textures. Both platings were a work of art. Next we shared a small Smoke Show Pizza. That was a memorable pizza. Regatta mozzarella and cheddar special sauce, char pepperoni, Italian sausage, and basil with oregano and Parmesan. My wife enjoyed the Rata Savignon Blanc, and I had a dogfish head pumpkin .

Stopped by The Goat's Beard for a solo meal and had a great experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I sat outside at the sidewalk seating and felt totally comfortable dining alone.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The pizza was incredible--simple, fresh, and full of flavor. I also had a salad, which balanced things out perfectly. The area is very walkable, but be warned that parking is limited. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside, it's more of a bar vibe and can get pretty loud, but the service was attentive and friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, a solid spot for good food and casual energy.

The food is delicious and unbeatable when paired with their chili oil and dumpling sauce. You can really taste the love in their handmade dumpling, roast pork buns have lots of filling and not too sweet compared to other places. I usually order 4 smalls things and one entree and share. I will say that their main dishes i.e. the general tso's and sesame chicken aren't my favorites, they are cooked really well and portion size was great, but their sauce is slightly too sweet for me. But ANYTHING dipped in their chili oil/dumpling sauce makes it soooo good. So I still order one of the entrees every time lol I will say I pass on their milk bubble teas (not sure about fruit drinks) but as a former employee at multiple boba tea places, it wasn't good. I think it's because they are really not the focus, but unless they can make time to make them better, it should just not be offered. Regardless, I would recommend this place to everyone and to be sure to get the chili oil and dumpling sauce for take out cause its so unique and makes every dish even better

But this is also fitting…read moresince whether its been driving by it back in the day, or through gazing up at it on the hill when I was in Manayunk, La Collina is one of those places that has been in my peripheral vision for a few decades now! For 20+ years, I've known La Collina to be that fancy and classic-looking Italian restaurant on the hill that I've been needing to try. But it took coming across its name when doing my research for possible spots to go to for my birthday to put one and two together, and it led to quite the majestic experience. The friendly and hilarious valet attendants ensured that service was incredible before we even entered the building. And upon entry, we were treated to spot-on recommendations and quality service throughout the evening. For cocktails, I was in awe of the Anejo Old Fashioned, which used Patron and agave syrup instead of the usual whiskey offering, and I also appreciated the classic Negroni. For appetizers, the classic meatballs with homemade marinara and ricotta were an absolute delight, and the eggplant rolatini with spinach, prosciutto, and mozzarella was sheer perfection at its most decadent. For my entrée, I initially expected that I would be eating all the pasta. But the restaurant is also known for its seafood, and the risotto frutti di mare especially caught my eye. and with its calamari, clams, mussels, and shrimp, and perfectly cooked and seasoned rice it absolutely delivered the flavors! Toss in a salted caramel chocolate soufflé with a candle on top, and it easily made for another memorable birthday dinner and a deserving place to recommend!

It was still quite hot outside, so we opted to sit inside. We were taken up to the second floor and had a table with a nice view of the Schuylkill River. We ordered two appetizers - Nonna's Meatballs and the Crispy Eggplant. I almost always order meatballs if they are on the menu. The first bite of a meatball was a little disappointing-it had a harder texture with a chewier bite. I know everyone has different preferences, but I prefer a softer textured meatball. I expected marinara (didn't read the description - '...with a sage veal jus') and was surprised to see a shallow dark colored sauce. The sauce had an interesting taste - lots of flavor - if the beef and pork meatball had any flavor, it was overwhelmed by the sauce. I'll say I liked the sauce for 'a change', however, I would have preferred marinara. The next appetizer was much better - the Crispy Eggplant. The rectangular shaped cuts of eggplant had been coated with breadcrumbs and crispy shallots with a hint of lemon. There were two little containers of dill yogurt for dipping. The eggplant was fresh, the breadcrumbs combined with the crispy shallots made for a delicious coating! The dill yogurt was a wonderful dip. It was an excellent appetizer. For our entree, we ordered the Mushroom Zucchini pizza with fontina cheese, thyme, truffle oil and chili flakes (I somehow 'missed seeing' the chili flakes). I don't tolerate spice and would have excluded the chili flakes, but it was a very limited amount and the heat was fine (my partner likes a little heat and loved it). The pizza was divine - large, delicious mushrooms and thin slices of zucchini covered the top, the truffle oil gave it a special flavor and the fontina cheese reminded me why I love a good 'white pizza'! While the meal got off to a 'tough' start, it ended up nicely and we'll be back to try some of the pasta dishes!
