Popped in here for early dinner and had a pleasant experience. A few different vibes going on, both in the atmosphere and the menu. The downstairs feels more like a bar while the upstairs was a bit nicer. It was pretty cozy in there, especially with the snowfall. The apps and mains are truly all over the map. We started with the fried pickles. It came with a gochujang sauce. We also shared the Detroit style pizza which was pretty solid/authentic. They had a decent cocktail/beer selection as well. The service was very friendly and accommodating. They kindly sat two of us and allowed us to order a drink/app while we waited for the rest of our party. Would surely recommend!

Came here with a friend for lunch. We were seated right away and the hostess and wait staff were super friendly and attentive. I ordered the avocado toast and substituted my side salad for French fries. The fries were so good but I was a bit underwhelmed by my avocado toast. Overall, gave it 4 stars because of how attentive the service was.

When I fly into Philly on business, I always try to build in a little time before leaving to hit the Yunk and The Goat's Beard. Though there are so many good choices in the area, this one is a never miss for me. TGB is more than just a cool name, it's an amazing combination of high quality food and drinks served by a top notch team, top to bottom. Friendly, engaging, no-nonsense...truly repping the Philly ethos. I started with the Italian Market Fries, a newer menu item that's worth getting...and big enough for 2-3 people. Tender pulled pork and shaved provolone over seasoned fries. Awesome! Being from Detroit, I'm picky about "Detroit style" pizza. Theirs is legit and the Philly cheesesteak version was fun. For my tastes, it needed more sauce which they happily supplied. Next time you're anywhere near the Yunk, don't miss The Goat's Beard!

So glad I finally made it here - it wasn't high on my list of restaurants to visit because it's rare that I'm in this area how ever, I have seen and heard favorable reviews about this spot... and after my experience I'm so glad I finally made it! I made reservations online for a Sunday afternoon. When we arrived, it was during a period where the restaurant was only serving a select few items (I can't recall what specifically) so we waited until our waitress informed us that we could order from the extended menu... We ordered mostly apps and a salad... oh, and dessert, which was sinfully delightful! Everything was delicious - great balanced flavor, perfect temperature, and cooked to perfection! Our waitress was helpful, pleasant and the prices were reasonable! Drinks were great also! The atmosphere is cozy and laid back; and the music that played was good too!

This is a casual, laid back place for tasty food and cocktails. The atmosphere is definitely that of a neighborhood spot and it feels local and familiar, even if it is your first time (I've actually been here a couple of times!). My daughter ordered the salmon and it was actually really delicious. I ordered the pizza and I was very happy with my order. Our server was friendly and helpful. This is a good place if you happen to be in this area! I recommend!

Holy smokes, talk about amazing use of ingredients a the interesting mix of flavors. There must be a food laboratory in the kitchen. Kudos to the chef and those behind the wonderful menu choices. Our first time in Wayne and as part of our street walking experience is finding interesting food that makes us want to return. This restaurant establishment checked all the boxes for us and then some. Shout out to Rosa who led our experience this midday tour de food experience. We opened by sharing the pulled pork tacos and the seared scallops. Two immensely different dishes that delivered Wow factor flavor and food textures. Both platings were a work of art. Next we shared a small Smoke Show Pizza. That was a memorable pizza. Regatta mozzarella and cheddar special sauce, char pepperoni, Italian sausage, and basil with oregano and Parmesan. My wife enjoyed the Rata Savignon Blanc, and I had a dogfish head pumpkin .

Stopped by The Goat's Beard for a solo meal and had a great experience. I sat outside at the sidewalk seating and felt totally comfortable dining alone. The pizza was incredible--simple, fresh, and full of flavor. I also had a salad, which balanced things out perfectly. The area is very walkable, but be warned that parking is limited. Inside, it's more of a bar vibe and can get pretty loud, but the service was attentive and friendly. Overall, a solid spot for good food and casual energy.

For appetizers, we shared the meatball and the gnocchi. The meatball was tender and flavorful, served in marinara, topped with whipped ricotta, and garnished with focaccia. It was creamy and rich, with sliced garlic adding real depth. The lemon added brightness without overpowering the dish, and the toasted breadcrumbs on top gave the perfect contrast in texture. The grilled shrimp were cooked just right. We sat upstairs in the enclosed rooftop area, which had a really nice ambiance. Service was about a 3/5--pleasant but a little hands-off. Then taleggio crostini with a sun-dried tomato fig spread on top WOW a must try and lastly the Roman flat bread with short rib, fig, caramelized onion and Gorgonzola cheese. MOUTH WATERING. Main course we had the fettuccine lamb ragu very flavorful. Pappardelle braised short rib very good sauce and flavorful. This is where things got crazy, we got the Amatriciana it came with sausage and conchilege pasta a NO NO, it is made with guanciale over bucatini however it was ok.

Great new value-priced authentic Chinese food option in Manayunk!…read moreThere's a little bit of everything here, but a sampler suggests they do it all well, from Hong Kong to Sichuan, from dumplings to soups to seafood and vegetables. Everything we tried was spot on. Prices are reasonable but this is not average American-Chinese food. Lots for vegetarians. Fish fillet Szechuan Style was an unexpected delight -- almost a soup, packed with delicate flounder and a ma la slice that they'll adjust to your liking. String Beans could not have been cooked more perfectly. And all of the dumplings we tried were worthy. I look forward to exploring the menu more.

I hope that in a few weeks I can come back and give an updated 5 star review, but for now my suggestions is do take-out only. My partner and I sat down and ordered through a QR code. We got a few dishes and both got a specialty drink. We could see they were very busy with take-out orders, so were ready to wait a bit for our food and drinks. After an hour of waiting, we still had no water, no drinks, no food, no plates, no napkins, nothing. The line for take out was so long that guests were waiting right up against our table for the entire evening, which made the night feel crowded and awkward. The dishes were extremely scattered to come out. Our first dish of pumpkin buns only came out with two when the menu said we would have four. The server dropped it and ran off so fast we didn't even have a chance to bring it up. We didn't see her again until 30 minutes later when she brought our scallion pancakes, which she also quickly put on the table and had to run back to the take-out counter. Over all, it took an hour and a half to get all our food (pumpkin buns, scallion pancakes, veggie dumplings, and a tofu dish). We also had to get up and ask the server for water. She was just so busy that she only ever came around to our table to drop off food, so we never got water to start or once the food was brought to us. By the time we had finished eating we had been there for 2 hours and were READY to leave. The place was packed with take out orders the entire time and we were upset to have spent a date night in a cramped dinging area with our table being butt-height to all the guests waiting for their food. We had to get up again to flag down the server to get our check and make sure she took off the drinks that we never received. And for the icing on the cake, the take out containers we were given were dirty. So we had to flag her down AGAIN to get a clean one. I feel terrible leaving such a negative review for a new business. The food was so good, but it felt like a wasted evening sitting there all night. If you are craving dim sum I'd recommend ordering take out, but wait at least an hour after you place the order to even leave your house to get it. Some people were waiting for their food to go just as long as we were.

But this is also fitting…read moresince whether its been driving by it back in the day, or through gazing up at it on the hill when I was in Manayunk, La Collina is one of those places that has been in my peripheral vision for a few decades now! For 20+ years, I've known La Collina to be that fancy and classic-looking Italian restaurant on the hill that I've been needing to try. But it took coming across its name when doing my research for possible spots to go to for my birthday to put one and two together, and it led to quite the majestic experience. The friendly and hilarious valet attendants ensured that service was incredible before we even entered the building. And upon entry, we were treated to spot-on recommendations and quality service throughout the evening. For cocktails, I was in awe of the Anejo Old Fashioned, which used Patron and agave syrup instead of the usual whiskey offering, and I also appreciated the classic Negroni. For appetizers, the classic meatballs with homemade marinara and ricotta were an absolute delight, and the eggplant rolatini with spinach, prosciutto, and mozzarella was sheer perfection at its most decadent. For my entrée, I initially expected that I would be eating all the pasta. But the restaurant is also known for its seafood, and the risotto frutti di mare especially caught my eye. and with its calamari, clams, mussels, and shrimp, and perfectly cooked and seasoned rice it absolutely delivered the flavors! Toss in a salted caramel chocolate soufflé with a candle on top, and it easily made for another memorable birthday dinner and a deserving place to recommend!

We booked reservations for our wedding anniversary here. I specifically asked for a window overlook view seat. This was not granted and we were placed in the back room by the bar. Service was poor. We spent 2 and a half hours at this restaurant mostly waiting for the food to come out and the server to bring us our check. I don't believe the server came back for drink refills until after we were done with out meals. The serving sizes like stated in other reviews are very poor for the price you pay. For 2 to eat here you are pushing 100 easily. I got the chicken parm and pretty sure there was a out 12-15 noodles with it. My wife did enjoy her seafood pasta with scallops, but the price outweighed the amount for sure. Overall I had high expectations for this place and it let us down big time. Hopefully they continue to improve so we can give it another chance.
