Went for the lunch special and will be back. Price was great for the pizza/salad combo. Everything tasted great and was fresh. Outdoor patio is nice now that it's getting warmer.

Food was good as usual, Service was good but they did forget one of our items...until we asked for it. We also ordered their rigatoni pasta with meatballs and polenta dish (which i forgot to take pics of) We sat outside and it was nice and sunny and they even brought ice water for our furry companion. Great place to grab lunch after a hike in wissahickon park or bike ride along kelly drive. Definitely solid 4 out of 5 stars.

I've seen this place numerous times and never knew it was a restaurant. Finally a friend recommended we dine here and it was a great time. The staff was super friendly. We chatted for a bit while waiting for our table to be ready. After much debate (because everything on the menu looked so good) we ended up getting the tasting menu. Came with a number of delectable dishes under their Insalate, Antipasti, and Pizza selections. The whipped ricotta and spaghetti took the cake for me. Felt like the perfect place for a date night or girls night out. Especially the outside seating during the summer months

Neighborhood upscale pizza place with nice options for pizzas, pastas and entrees. Service was good, we were helped as soon as we sat down. Not pictured was the spreadable ricotta with caramelized onions with toast points. It was creamy and tasty and liked by everyone in the group. We also had the grilled, garlic shrimp. True to the name, they had a strong garlic flavor over pastina. It was very flavorful and a good portion was given. The branzino had crispy skin and the fish itself was soft and cooked to the right temp. It was served in a lemon, butter sauce that was just right. The pizzas had the little burnt bubbles in the crust that make it taste homemade. The toppings were fresh and not overpowering. The zucchini, mushroom pizza had crushed red pepper which gave it a nice zing. The sausage, pepper pizza also had a little spice to it. The shrimp ceasar pizza was unique with basically a ceasar salad on top. Overall, there was something for everyone. A nice spot to stop in for a quick bite or a sit down pasta dinner.

Funky little place! We sat at the upstairs bar on a Saturday night. We had the place mostly to ourselves. I love the decor and energy. The bartender was running a good Playlist. He was indeed a mixologist. We enjoyed the tuxedo #2 and gold rush. Food was excellent, sausage and pepper pizza with added pepperoni and king crab spaghetti. We finished it all and we're full. The pizza had a wonderful light dough, crust was perfect. The cheese and meat were obviously high quality. The spaghetti was inventive and am excellent blend of ingredients. Would definitely recommend this place! Upstairs bar area/bartender are excellent!

Ok, yes this place is a bit overpriced. But if you're just here for a drink and to chat it's worth it. The view of the river and surrounding park area is an oasis in the city. The fries and cocktails were delicious and strong, so you get what you pay for. Staff was friendly and there wasn't too many people for lunch so highly recommended coming during the day.

The service was good and food came out quickly. We went on a Saturday night, arrived at 6:45, we were sat right away (had a reservation), and were out and done eating by 7:50. The food was good - just wish there were mocktails.

My family loves this spot and have seen so many of the positive changes the location has gone through since we were in college back in 2007! It's a great location right on the water! Parking lot is a little tricky but you can usually find spots on the street or the lot across the way. They also have Tuesday pizza specials and half off wine bottles on Sunday nights. Food is very good and we've never had bad service! I personally like dining outside better than inside just because of the view!

The wildest pizza craving (and procrastination from doing my work) hit me on a Friday evening. I googled "brick oven pizza" and made it to In Riva in time for happy hour. The $12 P&B happy hour deal is top tier-- any pizza and any draft beer. Not a beer girlie, my server (who was an absolute gem) recommended Downeast cider. Delicious. As for the pizza-- since I refuse to put two baddies against one another-- I got the pepperoni AND margherita. That's right. Two ciders, two pizzas, and yes I took home leftovers. Both were delicioussss but that pepperoni-- in all its zestiness-- was a definite fave. (P.S. The pizza reheats well in an oven or air fryer on low temp.)

Everything went well. Don't live far from here and always come when I have a taste for guaranteed goodness. The menu isn't large and that's great because the few things on there are done to perfection. I always experiment with cocktails and entree pairings but the charred octopus is my staple appetizer. Parking in the front is ample and the prices are reflective of the quality. Wait staff is attentive without being overbearing and the vibe is light and airy. Spacious digs with outdoor seating and dog accommodations outside as well. You can't be disappointed with the seasonings and although dessert isn't on the menu the do have a couple things the wait staff can riddle off without a stutter. Love it

For appetizers, we shared the meatball and the gnocchi. The meatball was tender and flavorful, served in marinara, topped with whipped ricotta, and garnished with focaccia. The gnocchi was pillowy and cooked perfectly. For my entrée, I ordered the Casarecce with lemon crab crème fraîche and grilled shrimp, and it was excellent. The sauce was more than just lemony. It was creamy and rich, with sliced garlic adding real depth. The lemon added brightness without overpowering the dish, and the toasted breadcrumbs on top gave the perfect contrast in texture. The grilled shrimp were cooked just right. We sat upstairs in the enclosed rooftop area, which had a really nice ambiance. Service was about a 3/5--pleasant but a little hands-off. Overall, the food and atmosphere made it a spot I'd return to.

Very warm and welcoming as you walk into the restaurant with a nice long bar full of neighborhood folks. The restaurant is typical of a neighborhood restaurant with nice wooden tables and chairs with a very friendly accommodative staff. Food: For Appetizers. The meatballs are served with a creamy ricotta on top it's superb. The calamari was excellent. I did a half wedge salad that fed three of us it was huge and delicious. Then taleggio crostini with a sun-dried tomato fig spread on top WOW a must try and lastly the Roman flat bread with short rib, fig, caramelized onion and Gorgonzola cheese. MOUTH WATERING. Main course we had the fettuccine lamb ragu very flavorful. Pappardelle braised short rib very good sauce and flavorful. This is where things got crazy, we got the Amatriciana it came with sausage and conchilege pasta a NO NO, it is made with guanciale over bucatini however it was ok.

Great new value-priced authentic Chinese food option in Manayunk!…read moreThere's a little bit of everything here, but a sampler suggests they do it all well, from Hong Kong to Sichuan, from dumplings to soups to seafood and vegetables. Everything we tried was spot on. Prices are reasonable but this is not average American-Chinese food. Lots for vegetarians. Fish fillet Szechuan Style was an unexpected delight -- almost a soup, packed with delicate flounder and a ma la slice that they'll adjust to your liking. String Beans could not have been cooked more perfectly. And all of the dumplings we tried were worthy. I look forward to exploring the menu more.

I hope that in a few weeks I can come back and give an updated 5 star review, but for now my suggestions is do take-out only. My partner and I sat down and ordered through a QR code. We got a few dishes and both got a specialty drink. We could see they were very busy with take-out orders, so were ready to wait a bit for our food and drinks. After an hour of waiting, we still had no water, no drinks, no food, no plates, no napkins, nothing. The line for take out was so long that guests were waiting right up against our table for the entire evening, which made the night feel crowded and awkward. The dishes were extremely scattered to come out. Our first dish of pumpkin buns only came out with two when the menu said we would have four. The server dropped it and ran off so fast we didn't even have a chance to bring it up. We didn't see her again until 30 minutes later when she brought our scallion pancakes, which she also quickly put on the table and had to run back to the take-out counter. Over all, it took an hour and a half to get all our food (pumpkin buns, scallion pancakes, veggie dumplings, and a tofu dish). We also had to get up and ask the server for water. She was just so busy that she only ever came around to our table to drop off food, so we never got water to start or once the food was brought to us. By the time we had finished eating we had been there for 2 hours and were READY to leave. The place was packed with take out orders the entire time and we were upset to have spent a date night in a cramped dinging area with our table being butt-height to all the guests waiting for their food. We had to get up again to flag down the server to get our check and make sure she took off the drinks that we never received. And for the icing on the cake, the take out containers we were given were dirty. So we had to flag her down AGAIN to get a clean one. I feel terrible leaving such a negative review for a new business. The food was so good, but it felt like a wasted evening sitting there all night. If you are craving dim sum I'd recommend ordering take out, but wait at least an hour after you place the order to even leave your house to get it. Some people were waiting for their food to go just as long as we were.

But this is also fitting…read moresince whether its been driving by it back in the day, or through gazing up at it on the hill when I was in Manayunk, La Collina is one of those places that has been in my peripheral vision for a few decades now! For 20+ years, I've known La Collina to be that fancy and classic-looking Italian restaurant on the hill that I've been needing to try. But it took coming across its name when doing my research for possible spots to go to for my birthday to put one and two together, and it led to quite the majestic experience. The friendly and hilarious valet attendants ensured that service was incredible before we even entered the building. And upon entry, we were treated to spot-on recommendations and quality service throughout the evening. For cocktails, I was in awe of the Anejo Old Fashioned, which used Patron and agave syrup instead of the usual whiskey offering, and I also appreciated the classic Negroni. For appetizers, the classic meatballs with homemade marinara and ricotta were an absolute delight, and the eggplant rolatini with spinach, prosciutto, and mozzarella was sheer perfection at its most decadent. For my entrée, I initially expected that I would be eating all the pasta. But the restaurant is also known for its seafood, and the risotto frutti di mare especially caught my eye. and with its calamari, clams, mussels, and shrimp, and perfectly cooked and seasoned rice it absolutely delivered the flavors! Toss in a salted caramel chocolate soufflé with a candle on top, and it easily made for another memorable birthday dinner and a deserving place to recommend!

We booked reservations for our wedding anniversary here. I specifically asked for a window overlook view seat. This was not granted and we were placed in the back room by the bar. Service was poor. We spent 2 and a half hours at this restaurant mostly waiting for the food to come out and the server to bring us our check. I don't believe the server came back for drink refills until after we were done with out meals. The serving sizes like stated in other reviews are very poor for the price you pay. For 2 to eat here you are pushing 100 easily. I got the chicken parm and pretty sure there was a out 12-15 noodles with it. My wife did enjoy her seafood pasta with scallops, but the price outweighed the amount for sure. Overall I had high expectations for this place and it let us down big time. Hopefully they continue to improve so we can give it another chance.
