I finally had the chance to visit La Collina and I really enjoyed myself. I ordered the caesar salad, lobster ravioli, and a cannoli for dessert. Everything was delicious (including the bread service) and the wait staff were kind and attentive. The only part I didn't enjoy was the valet. I prefer to self-park and I didn't realize there was street parking up the road. I thought my only option was to valet, but you actually don't have to!

The ambiance was wonderful with the location and view of the restaurant. The service was friendly but very slow for the food and drink refill. The food was delicious!!

Finally visited this restaurant on a hill. It is pretty close to my place so thought it was fine time to check it out. The parking lot here is always crowded with the fanciest cars. They have a valet service in their tiny little parking lot. The restaurant has a beautiful view of Manayunk. It also has a patio, unfortunately it was only open for the summer. This didn't make any sense to me because part of the reason I wanted to check it out was for their outdoor seating and the weather currently was pretty good. The place inside was pretty romantic (seemed like a lot of dates went there). The other room had a big bar as well. We ended up taking our order to go. I got the eggplant rolatini and risotto frutti di mare. The sauce on the rolatini was delicious. The rolatini that had the eggplant and spinach was average in my opinion. The risotto frutti di mare was ok as well. It had no so great cooked risotto with some seafood. Mostly the seafood consisted of clams in the shell, mussels with shell, and barely any shrimp. I guess this mix is similar to what I see in Italy. This, however, was very disappointing because I was hoping for more shrimp and not to worry about de shelling my food.

I drove past it millions times and finally got to try! I made a reservation through open table. Very friendly staff. What a beautiful place. Food was outstanding. It was one of the best carbonara. Highly recommend.

La Collina creates a lovely atmosphere for a night out on a special occasion. Overlooking the Schuylkill river you get a beautiful view and creates a special evening. They only offer valet parking so parking can be a little tricky. Overall the food was really delicious and I feel you get that true Italian feel and cuisine to the place. The service was a bit of a miss in my opinion. It felt a little lacking and could have been better. Overall they a nice atmosphere to spend for a special occasion.

Read as 3.5 stars. Was unsure what to expect since reviews seem to range across the board but I left pretty happy with overall experience. We were a party of 6 with reservations and were seated immediately. The crab cake bites and beet salad were solid, I would skip the calamari (cold) and eggplant rollatini (spinach was used as a heavy filler). The seafood pasta special was a hit at the table. The rest of the dishes were pretty good. Service was friendly and attentive. Valet parking.

Absolutely delightful. From the kind man working the valet, our sweet servers, the yummy food, the romantic ambiance... everything was great! We celebrated a family member's birthday and we were seated near the front of the restaurant. I ordered an espresso martini and it was fabulous. One of the better I've had this last year. I shared a Caesar with a friend and then had the chicken marsala for my main dish. WOW! The best chicken marsala I've ever had, and I'm not blowing smoke. Great flavor, a decent portion, and the mushrooms were terrific. Cooked perfectly! The runners, our main server, and the rest of the staff were so helpful and accommodating. I need to return the next time I am in the area! Just an FYI for those who are older or have a hard time getting up... the toilets in the ladies restroom are quite low. Just something to keep in mind!

I'm not sure why this place has so many bad reviews--I had a pretty nice experience here last night for my birthday. Parking The restaurant only offers valet parking, which feels a bit outdated. There's no ticketing system--just a guy who takes your car and has apparently been doing it for 20 years. While it worked fine, it felt a little informal for a place at this price point. Food I ordered the filet, and it was pretty good--flavorful but a little dry. The calamari was just okay; it could've been cooked more. Overall, the food was tasty, but nothing extraordinary. Service The service was decent, but for the price, I expected more attention to detail. For example, our server forgot who ordered which drink. At a high-end restaurant, small details like that matter, and when you're paying a premium, the experience should reflect that. Value This is where the restaurant falls short. The food and service were good, but not exceptional enough to justify the high prices. When a restaurant sets premium pricing, it also sets certain expectations, and in this case, those expectations weren't fully met. Final Thoughts Overall, I had a good meal and a decent experience, but I wouldn't say it was worth the price. The food was tasty, the service was fine, but for what you're paying, I expected better. By the way, they make their own gelato and it was absolutely out of this world delicious.

This restaurant is beautifully located on a hill top. upon arriving your car will be valet parked. Food was excellent, service was good and ambience was nice . Very nice staff

Overall a great experience and we will be back. We ordered the octopus, broccoli rabe and sausage, squid ink pasta, and table-side fileted grilled Branzino. Wine and old fashioned to drink. Broccoli rabe was just ok. Table side filet was underwhelming. Everything else was superb. Wine was good. Old fashioned was excellent! And I am a picky drinker. We came for our 10 yr anniversary. The ambiance, service, cleanliness...all superb! A bit pricy but nothing unmanageable. Worth a try!

Our first time having dinner here since they are under new management. The experience was phenomenal from start to finish. Every dish we ordered was magnificent. The service and ambience was perfect. I ordered the carbonara and honestly was better than the best carbonara I've had to date which was in Rome My wife's risotto was fantastic as well. Given it's only 15 minutes from our home. I expect we will be here repeatedly.

For appetizers, we shared the meatball and the gnocchi. The meatball was tender and flavorful, served in marinara, topped with whipped ricotta, and garnished with focaccia. The gnocchi was pillowy and cooked perfectly. For my entrée, I ordered the Casarecce with lemon crab crème fraîche and grilled shrimp, and it was excellent. The sauce was more than just lemony. It was creamy and rich, with sliced garlic adding real depth. The lemon added brightness without overpowering the dish, and the toasted breadcrumbs on top gave the perfect contrast in texture. The grilled shrimp were cooked just right. We sat upstairs in the enclosed rooftop area, which had a really nice ambiance. Service was about a 3/5--pleasant but a little hands-off. Overall, the food and atmosphere made it a spot I'd return to.

Very warm and welcoming as you walk into the restaurant with a nice long bar full of neighborhood folks. The restaurant is typical of a neighborhood restaurant with nice wooden tables and chairs with a very friendly accommodative staff. Food: For Appetizers. Then taleggio crostini with a sun-dried tomato fig spread on top WOW a must try and lastly the Roman flat bread with short rib, fig, caramelized onion and Gorgonzola cheese. MOUTH WATERING. Main course we had the fettuccine lamb ragu very flavorful. Pappardelle braised short rib very good sauce and flavorful. This is where things got crazy, we got the Amatriciana it came with sausage and conchilege pasta a NO NO, it is made with guanciale over bucatini however it was ok.

Everything we tried was spot on. Prices are reasonable but this is not average American-Chinese food. Lots for vegetarians. I hope that in a few weeks I can come back and give an updated 5 star review, but for now my suggestions is do take-out only. My partner and I sat down and ordered through a QR code. We got a few dishes and both got a specialty drink. We could see they were very busy with take-out orders, so were ready to wait a bit for our food and drinks. After an hour of waiting, we still had no water, no drinks, no food, no plates, no napkins, nothing. The line for take out was so long that guests were waiting right up against our table for the entire evening, which made the night feel crowded and awkward. The dishes were extremely scattered to come out. Our first dish of pumpkin buns only came out with two when the menu said we would have four. The server dropped it and ran off so fast we didn't even have a chance to bring it up. We didn't see her again until 30 minutes later when she brought our scallion pancakes, which she also quickly put on the table and had to run back to the take-out counter. Over all, it took an hour and a half to get all our food (pumpkin buns, scallion pancakes, veggie dumplings, and a tofu dish). We also had to get up and ask the server for water. She was just so busy that she only ever came around to our table to drop off food, so we never got water to start or once the food was brought to us. By the time we had finished eating we had been there for 2 hours and were READY to leave. The place was packed with take out orders the entire time and we were upset to have spent a date night in a cramped dinging area with our table being butt-height to all the guests waiting for their food. We had to get up again to flag down the server to get our check and make sure she took off the drinks that we never received. And for the icing on the cake, the take out containers we were given were dirty. So we had to flag her down AGAIN to get a clean one. I feel terrible leaving such a negative review for a new business. The food was so good, but it felt like a wasted evening sitting there all night. If you are craving dim sum I'd recommend ordering take out, but wait at least an hour after you place the order to even leave your house to get it. Some people were waiting for their food to go just as long as we were.

There are 3 floors with three separate gorgeous eating areas and 3 full service bars. I loved the decorative tequila bottles and the aesthetic of each floor. Definitely worth taking time to explore. We stopped by before catching an amazing show at Fallser Club. We were pleasantly surprised to receive an extra 10% discount on our food by showing our tickets. We had cocktails and got our food to go to eat at the venue. You won't find food pictures from me in this review because due some dietary restrictions my food wasn't packaged as it usually is served. For the next show we will be going early and eating onsite to fully enjoy all Cresta has to offer. We will also make sure to sit on the 3rd floor rooftop level to enjoy the view where the very large windows are opened to enjoy the fresh air when Mother Nature cooperates. Back to to the food and drink. The cocktails are unique, gorgeous and delicious. Each one crafted with garnishes like fresh orange peel and pineapple leaves. Cocktails can be ordered with sugar, salt, or tajan on the rims. I highly recommend the apple cider margarita and the La Kartina hibiscus cocktail. The photos don't even do them justice. I ordered the plantains, deconstructed veggie tacos and a side of Al pastor chicken. I also had a side of the guacamole. The guacamole was so fresh and flavorful and I loved the cheese added to the top. The chicken was flavorful, well seasoned and very colorful. The plantains were the perfect level of sweetness. Now, about that the art! I loved the decor and art. The art around the restaurant and the tshirts employees wore were designed by a bartender who I didn't get to meet. The murals were so colorful and detailed. One was more beautiful than the next. I found a very cool selfie mirror on the 2nd floor that I loved! The artist's insta handle was on the wall as well and is included in my photos. From an accessibility standpoint, the second and third floors can only be reached by stairs and may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.
