Another great stop on the E. Passyunk trail of amazing restaurants. This cute diner-esque restaurant serves options for many palettes alongside of a drink menu and small shop to boot. You can sit in the window and people watch, at a table with your party, or at the counter for the complete diner vibe. I had grilled octopus and potatoes along with the A La Plage almond mocktail. Such a cute spot with great flavor!

Superette is a super cute, lively addition to the neighborhood. Outdoor seating, friendly service, delicious food and drinks, soft serve and some items for purchase to enjoy by the fountain if you can't get a seat! I've enjoyed all the food and drinks I've gotten there and it's a great spot for people watching from inside. The artichoke, octopus, ravioli are all delicious. It can get a bit pricey and portions are not huge but I keep going back. My only other complaint is it's always so busy, it's hard to get a spot! Glad to see them doing well and recommend checking it out.

I came on a Sunday where they have a cheese board special. Love the diner vibes. Had plenty of seating and good service. Would come back for Sunday special again.

What wonderful staff at Supérette! Every single person I interacted with was kind and engaged. It reminds me of an upscale 50's diner with blue vinyl bar stools and a kiss of France. I had the SOUR, vodka, tarragon-lime cordial, black pepper. It was incredible. We also ordered the Plateau of meat and cheese. It was a good snack but next visit I'm leaning into the sandwiches (I'm looking at you raciette) I perused the bottle shop, picked up a red and white and bid the team au revoir.

Service here is awesome! Vibes are on point. And the wine selection is delicious. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the food preparation has been a little inconsistent between the times I have went. Overall it is a great local hang to grab a drink with a pal. Based on the table set up, it is best for parties of 2 IMO.

Who the hell would have "Thunk" that an old butcher shop here in South Philadelphia would turn into a super HOT bar with amazing cocktails and a pretty substantial menu to complement their drinks. First of all, Superette was so crowded on this Thursday (late) afternoon, you had to walk in sideways. This is always a good sign. Their syncopated menu had everything on it that would enhance the vibe this place gives off. We had: * Their version of what a gin martini should be. For me it had a lot of vermouth, but I actually liked it * Their "Smash" bourbon cocktail with lemon and mint was a stone cold winner * Superette somehow found a Belgium ale called Saison Dupont that was so good, I would come back here just for that!!!! * The lentil salad we had was remarkable * So was the steak tartare - just amazing Somehow, in my recent travels, I have been introduced to some extremely high end (not price wise but quality wise) cuisine. I'm not going to call it "Luck", I'm going to call it "Kismet"! It's been so much fun, hitting this bar that's very, very high.

My new favorite wine bar spot in the city! I love this restaurant group (le caveau, good king tavern) and I really enjoyed the new vibes of this restaurant. It's more open, with bright light and clean white tiles. I love the concept of buying some groceries and a bottle of wine here too. The food was EXCELLENT. The octopus blew me away and was great for sharing. I'd also go back just for the sour cocktail. It may be my favorite cocktail in the city. Can't wait to go back

The bartenders were so nice, speedy, and knowledgeable! They patiently explained to us the differences among some drinks and provided great recs based on our preferences! The customers/ patrons that are drawn to Grace and Proper are what make this place shine! We had a full dating intervention with strangers (we asked them for advice!) and it was so fun! This is the kind of place that makes you believe in humanity and whimsical connections again! The lighting indoors can be VERY dim as we were there around sunset. I think a few dim bulbs in the corner would still carry the vibe but make it less dark. We all had different kinds of cocktails and love the presentation and creative recipes! Our favorite spot in Philly!…read more My husband claims that Claude AI recommended this place. We absolutely loved it! The entrance is so charming. With potted flowers all over the restaurant. Smattering of patio tables on both Eighth Street and Carpenter. When I saw it, I said yes before even looking at the menu. We ordered drinks at the bar and took them outside. It's very chic but also casual. There were mostly pairs or trios - no families. Not th. We saw people ordering a little bit of everything. Honestly, the menu looked great! The kale Caesar salad, the piri piri buffalo chicken dip, bacon wrapped plums, etc. The drinks were the best we had on our Philly trip! The Spanish Monk which had gin, lemon juice, frothed egg white and smoked paprika. I had the GGG which they carried over from their old menu. Can't remember what was in it but she said it was similar to Bee's Knees which is one of my favorite! There's self service still water and sparkling water in the back of the restaurant. Perfectly chilled. Perfectly bubbled! Such a lovely spot!

Ahhh, how the city of Philadelphia's food scene continues to be extremely disappointing for me…read more There has not been one restaurant that I've tried where the food and/or combination with the experience has been a good once. I made a review recently on how I very much disliked Fitz on 4th and my anxiety was ramping up seeing this restaurant was barely two blocks away The food had no flavor and was extremely bland. I have never been in a restaurant and asked for the salt and pepper shakers (unless it's for eggs lol) and unfortunately that didn't help much at all here. The branzino dish was plated nicely, but had zero flavor. The orzo and corn was giving just got this box of orzo from Trader Joe's and threw some canned corn in the mix. Branzino? Very plain. The Cacio e pepe was also....flavorless. I love cacio e pepe and I was between that and the branzino at first, but knew if the if the sauce wasn't balanced perfectly between cheese and pepper, it would ruin the dish. We opted to have chicken added and as you can tell, it doesn't look like there was any chicken at all. It was a let down from the first bite of both dishes, for both my partner and I. Chicken liver mousse is one of my absolute favorite things ever, since a kid. Generally, I'm given a small pot/portion of the mousse to spread on a cracker or piece of bread myself. Here, they do things a little differently. They spread it on some bread topped with cherry agrodolce and pistachios. I thought this dish was pretty neat. My fav thing was although the bread was baked and crunchy on the exterior the middle was very soft and I thought this was a perfect balance. But, the skimped out of the chicken mousse and barely put any on the bread, especially the first piece of bread in the pic. The wine was nice, but it was not poured it front of us and I have zero clue what it is. We asked for something most similar to Merlot. Wouldn't try this place again & didn't think it was worth the cost. Side note, there's a surcharge for paying with a card AND they are currently participating in restaurant week.

We ordered their: (1) bacon burger (rating 3.0/5) (2) beef sandwich (rating 3.0/5) (3) fries (rating 3.5/5) Don't get me wrong, the food isn't bad. The best way I can explain it is, their food is satisfactorily adequate. It tastes good enough, it's juicy enough, it's filling enough. It's what I would call "fine". The thing is, their burgers are TINY (not too far from a slider even) and EXPENSIVE for how small they are, so being "fine" isn't what I want. If you're going to charge that much and give that little, the food needs to be mouth wateringly incredible. Otherwise give me a normal-sized "fine" burger. Service Notes: No complaints about the service. This place has bit of a "nicer bar" ambiance, but it's quite small. It felt a little too confined honestly. TLDR: Food is fine, but not worth the cost. There are better burgers at lower price points.

We tried the Leeks all dolled up, the vegetable was healthy and very tasty. I had myself a fortified wine for the first time! This is really the reason I tried this place, as I have never had fortified wine before. What is it you ask? Basically, wine with brandy in it making the cocktail come in at approx 15-20% bac. Fortified wine is poured in much smaller glasses than a normal wine pour, but I am thankful I got to try it. I got the duck of the day, which was duck confit, and it was amazing.
