This is an interesting bar to grab drinks. The menu is cool. The vibe is chill. Ive never heard of this place before but I would definitely recommend. The bartenders were nice. The drinking water comes out the sink! Now wait! Before we jump to conclusions, the sparkling water comes out the sink which I thought was pretty cool. Now you do have it self serve which is fine. We didnt have any food as we just left dinner.

Drink review: Saturday night this bar is packed. We ordered the good giving and game cocktail and twice bitten cocktail. Both were great! Twice bitten had a very strong spicy ginger taste. This drink definitely isn't for everyone. Good giving was much more palatable and had a really nice honey flavor. The gold flakes were pretty in the drink too! The inside of the restaurant isn't that big but thankfully there are some tables outside.

Popped in for a mid afternoon rest and cocktails. Walked in and was warmly greeted. We were given menus and found a perfect table for two in the corner. First order for me was The Good Living & Game..... absolutely delicious. perfectly balanced and refreshing. The sober hubs ordered The Mockingbird....holy ginger goodness. Second order was an Espresso Martini (so delicious and coffee forward just like it should be) and the hubs Mocktail order wa Nurse Pepper made with tart cherry juice......drool worthy good. Portuguese rule! Eu te amo!!

Listen I was not feeling this little spot. I needed some air and a server. I drink too much to be going to the bar for every drink. Wanted to try too many things and had too many questions. I was not interested in doing all that walking back and forth to the bar! It was not that big but it was hot. BUT, when the opportunity surfaced to moved to the bar --- we didn't want to leave. Be aware of the Buffalo dip, great flavor AND great HEAT!!! Seemed to be an all male staff that prepared the food, answered questions, let us taste test and made great cocktails. Not much Melanin in the place but everyone was verry welcoming and nice. That didn't stop us from enjoying all that Grace and Proper had to offer.

My review is based on the drinks we had. We stopped by here before our dinner reservation. It's quite small so it was pretty packed when we walked in. But the bartenders were very efficient and nice when we were ordering. There are outdoor sitting that we took advantage of. The drinks are very yummy so which was a plus! The only downside is there's only one bathroom but hey, it's a small restaurant so it's understandable!

Very interesting place! Ordered a couple of rounds of cocktails, which was refreshing and great. You seat yourself and you order at the bar. The water is self-service. The bartenders were attentive and fast at making drinks and they cleared the table. The vibes were vibing. It's kind of out of the way, but worth the trip. I was annoyed at the automatic 20% tip added especially when there's a lot of self-service. I didn't see on the menu but I don't like the practice in general.

I live SO close to Grace & Proper but it took me over a year to finally visit! My husband and I always fawn over their logo and marketing, really loving all their social media and overall vibe, so we were happy to make plans to visit. We stopped in for HH with a few friends over the winter. The space is quaint, but we snagged a table for our party of 4. It was definitely tight but manageable. I would love to visit in the warmer months when we can take advantage of their lovely outdoor dining! The bar is super cute with lots of European-esque and cozy decor. It was decorated for the holidays during our visit too, which was lovely. We were there for happy hour, which is limited to only a few days a week so be prepared! Their HH menu is small but features some popular cocktails and a fair assortment of snacks. I opted for the Porto Tonico, which was so beautifully presented and had a delicious blend of flavors. It was a great cocktail and at a steal of a price! My dining parters similarly enjoyed their drinks, and we all appreciated that the servers came around for a last call before HH officially ended (that rarely happens any more, in my experience). I peeked through the rest of their drink menu, and it is quite expansive in terms of cocktails, spirits, wines, and beers; they definitely lean into their corner European bar persona! We shared some small plates with cheese and meats, which were perfect for finger foods while enjoying our drinks. The deli was all top notch and high quality! This was a lovely happy hour with friends, and I am glad we finally made it in! I would love to visit again for "M for Monday," Bom Dia on the weekends, or just another day to try more of their extensive drinks and other snacks!

Absolutely delicious drinks and a stand out wine and spirits menu. The vibe is very casual and feels like you're neighborhood watering hole, but it's much more sophisticated feeling and looking inside and it makes me feel great to be hanging out here. While the cocktails and bartenders are great, don't overlook the food menu! Snacks and bigger bites have amazing flavor with high quality ingredients on "easy" foods (bar nuts, bread/butter, sandwiches, soups!!!). Don't sleep on here for a light bite or do what my mom and I did and order a lot lol.

Came in late on a Monday night before closing for a quick drink to take advantage of their late-night Monday drink & bites specials! The bartender was a little awkward in my opinion, but wasn't necessarily unfriendly. I just got a vibe that was a little off, but overall as a business, our party was very grateful they didn't make a big fuss about us coming 30 minutes before closing. We were respectful in the fact that we didn't wanna order anything that took too long nor required the kitchen to do a lot of work. I ordered the Boiler Maker (mezcal sipping drink) and my partner and friend ordered the Madeira. All smallish drinks to be consumed, but this was a nice little vibe and pit stop. We also ordered the Mortadella and another bread & meats type of place. Overall - our little quick stop here to end our Monday night was great.

I stumbled upon this place on google maps while searching for Portuguese egg tarts, and I knew I had to come! The egg tart and custard filled donut (reminded me of nai huang bao) were phenomenal, but their food was also amazing. We got two sandwiches on their fresh crusty Portuguese bread, and my favorite was the B.E.C (sweet n spicy crispy bacon, fluffy scrambled eggs, melted swiss gruyere). The meatballs with burrata and the caesar salad were also very good. The only thing was I wish it came with more bread!! The neighborhood/street corner location, bustling vibes, service, tableware, menu design, etc, were all spectacular!

Great spot to hang out with friends. Casual vibe with rustic interior. There are more outdoor seatings to enjoy beautiful weather. We were sitting by the bar, the bartenders were really attentive. Besides them, there was a guy who prepped some food from the food station right in front of us, who could elaborately explain the menu and answered our questions. We felt right at home. The food menu is simple and does not many varieties. However, the drinks are very elaborate as evidenced by a whole array of liquors displayed at the bar They had some special menu displayed on a small board. Porto Tonico : really good summer drink. Very refreshing and not too strong. Pickled carrots with chili: spicy with balanced acidity and saltiness. I wish the portion was much bigger. Special menu item: asparagus with green goddess. So delicious, perfectly cooked asparagus served on a creamy goddess aioli. I uses bread to soak up that awesome aioli. Meatballs: definitely the highlight of my dinner. The meatballs were a bit dense but the star was the sauce. It was thicker than normal tomato sauce but it was garlicky and full of flavor and had some spicy kick. It was served with toasted crusty bread to soak up that sauce. Highly recommended. My husband had bufana. It had slices of roast pork which in my opinion was a bit tough. Pasteis de Nara was served warm and dusted with powdered sugar. Nice custard. Good way to end the night. Gratuity is already included in the bill. One of the bartenders told us about it while giving us the check. In my opinion, the food is a bit pricey . $9 for 5 spears of asparagus.

The bar is split with the restaurant half (though I think technically combined?) and I can absolutely see this place being PACKED for an Eagles game. Very reasonable pricing for beer. Not only were they super nice about it, they actually gave us free drinks for the "inconvenience" of having to move bars. And the vibe overall is great, very laid back but with tons of TVs bound to have whatever game you want to watch on. If you live in the neighborhood, this could easily be a go-to spot.

I especially like it here on a Monday's when they have a 1/2 off growlers. There's indoor out and outdoor seating you can also get specialty beers to go from the case and there's so much to choose from. I generally sit at the bar inside to get myself a couple samples of the new beers on tap just to help make a decision on what I'd like to take home. The staff is helpful, very efficient and friendly. The place is very clean well lit. Parking may be at a premium on certain days. What kept me from giving this business five stars is how food is ordered. I knew that they sold hotdogs because they're right on the counter next to the draft beer but I mentioned I needed a little more sustenance. ' we have a food menu you can order food' it was with other items next to the register. I had no idea it was food from across the street and it caused two different tabs. I should've been told is an advance in the end it was fine the pizza was good as was the beer but I would have preferred a heads up. If you use a credit card there is a $10 minimum if you get eight dollars worth of beer like I did it may have been a problem because I couldn't use my card for lack of cash! The items together were $24. When closing out trying to get to my movie the restaurant took an extended period of time bringing me my card back.

I do think if I went on a day where it was packed, I would not have enjoyed it as much. The racing simulators are pretty cool! The chair shakes while you are racing in order to give it as much real effects as possible. As your driving/racing you have to pay attention to the guides on the floor in colors red, green & yellow signifying you to slow down on certain curves and turns on the different tracks. When you pay for a race, five rounds of racing is included. You can pick your level of difficulty for each round. I went with "rookie" for all of my five rounds and each track was different. It was neat not knowing what to expect each time you began and it was cool to know you could enjoy it even at the most basic level, which is rookie. The food was not bad, but I could've done without it. The fried chicken sand-which was kinda salty, but I was a fan of the truffle fries. The prosecco was good, light and extra bubbly (not pictured). I think the interior was very nice! Being that there was barely anyone, I got to capture some pics which was nice! I see this as being an arcade you enjoy, when it's not many people, as couples and with some friends. Not a place to frequent often, I think.

With approximately five minutes remaining in the game, the TVs were suddenly turned off without warning. We initially thought there was a technical issue, only to be told that everyone had to leave because it was after 11:00 PM. The issue wasn't that the venue was closing--it was how the situation was handled. No one informed us beforehand that the game would be cut off before it ended, and when a member of our group respectfully expressed his disappointment as a repeat customer, the security manager on duty, Dante, responded aggressively, used profanity, and stated that he "didn't care" because he makes more money than any of us anyway. Customer service and professionalism matter. Unfortunately, the manager's behavior turned what had been an enjoyable evening into a negative experience that left our entire group questioning whether we would return. We hope ownership takes this feedback seriously and addresses both the customer service issues and management conduct at this location.

I vividly remember after the Lakers game 7 Championship win against the Celtics in 2010, 14 year old me who had just wrapped up the 8th grade, had a major realization. After a night of pure exaltation and chirping all my friends who were Celtics fans, I woke up the next day and realized my life had not changed AT ALL. I had a metamorphosis of sorts, realizing that I should put all of this time, energy, and passion into myself rather than being fans of players and teams who didn't know I existed. While I remained a fan, it was never the same. I stopped wearing my Kobe jerseys everywhere I went. I began to look at grown men walking around wearing other grown mens jerseys like they were DORKS. Don't you want to do something impactful with your life to where people would want to wear your jersey? Or wear your own, at least in a metaphorical sense? Idk. In retrospect, I became a little asshole lmao. --I promise The Garage will tie in here in a second stay with me I love this place-- It wasn't until I went to Europe on a school trip towards the end of High School when my 2nd metamorphosis began. I was OBSESSED with everything about European culture, thinking how fascinating it was that people live so differently than myself, but it's just normal life to them. My American ignorance led me to believe that everyone lived like I did, had the same interests I did. Idk, it blew my mind and I just couldn't get enough. I thought it was SO cool how passionate the Europeans were about their soccer, not realizing how contradictory this was to my own beliefs about American sports fans. I even bought a Messi Jersey and allat! It wasn't until years and years later, when I really put it together. These European Football fans were essentially paralleled to American Football fans. Both getting SO invested in these games, SCREAMING at the screen between sips of beer at a local bar like that will have any effect on the outcome of the game lmao. The older I have gotten, the more I have begun to respect the passionate sports fan, no matter what sport it is. Even if, for me personally, this passion is better to be placed somewhere else, I respect and love to be around passionate people no matter where that passion is placed. Who am I to tell someone what to be passionate about? I have gone through this life meeting people who are passionate about literally nothing, just kind of numb to life and that makes me sad and just scares me. How could you be numb to life? It's such a beautiful gift tha---okay I'm getting way too existential, let me reign it in. All this to say, I watched game 1 of the NLDS here where the Phillies were playing the Braves the other night. I feel like the reputation of the Philly sports fan is the best we have in America, and they did NOT disappoint. They were going BRAAAZYYYYYY in here lmaaaoo. Every base hit felt like a homerun, every home run felt like they had just won the mf powerball. For every single out they were counting down for how many more they needed to win. "ONLY 18 MORE WE GOT THIS!" lmao. The passion was tangible and beautiful. There was a guy slanging $4 hotdogs that were delicious, 100% pure American beef (allegedly). The bartenders were LOCKED IN, getting people drinks quick and moving onto the next. This was one of the best, most efficient bartending performances I have ever seen. Almost as efficient as a Philadelphia Eagles QB sneak. Almost. You can also bring outside food which is IDEAL, as I saw some people walking in with a couple pizzas. That's a vet move, I'll be ready next time. Also, get the grape funbag for a drink if you're feeling adventurous. Well even if you're not feeling adventurous get the grape funbag. Have I ever lied to you, my dear reader? All in all, I can't imagine a better place to watch a game. I love The Garage and I love the city of Philadelphia. The best way I can explain it is, their food is satisfactorily adequate. It tastes good enough, it's juicy enough, it's filling enough. It's what I would call "fine". The thing is, their burgers are TINY (not too far from a slider even) and EXPENSIVE for how small they are, so being "fine" isn't what I want. If you're going to charge that much and give that little, the food needs to be mouth wateringly incredible. Otherwise give me a normal-sized "fine" burger. Service Notes: No complaints about the service. This place has bit of a "nicer bar" ambiance, but it's quite small. It felt a little too confined honestly. TLDR: Food is fine, but not worth the cost.
