We visited LongHorn Steakhouse in St. Augustine. Our waitress, Nathalie, was very friendly and knowledgeable. We both ordered the 12-ounce New York strip steak, and it was unbelievably delicious! Hubby and I had a T-bone, it was outstanding! This is the BEST steak we have ever had, seriously!! It cooked perfectly with medium rare, it was soft like butter, so smooth, so juicy, so tender. I choose sweet potato and crispy brussel sprouts as side, they were terrific! Sweet potato was moist and sweet. The crispy brussel sprouts was awesome! The way they make the brussel sprouts is so different, I have never had anything like it before! I asked our waitress how do they make it. The secret is the sauce, which you cannot buy it anywhere! They handmade them selves. And bake it in the oven to make it crispy. The waitress was really kind to give me some sauce to bring home, so I can try to figure it out what's the recipe. Hubby took me out to dinner to feed my cold. Ha Ha! The line to wait for a table was really crazy so we decided to eat at the bar. Our servers were Angel & Callie. We sat and watched the pre-show for UFC fights. I slowly ate my Chop Steak with mushroom onions and gravy. Side of Rice pilaf and a sweet baked potato with cinnamon and butter. My food tasted salty. I really couldn't enjoy it. That Mango Margarita was on point. Hubby had a 12oz Ribeye steak, Side Salad and also baked sweet potato. He sipped a tall glass of Lemonade. We sat and laughed. So I normally pick LongHorn because I enjoy their steak salad. Today, I changed it up and tried the Steakhouse Cheeseburger. So good!! I ordered it medium-rare. It was a perfect pink center with a great seasoning. I paired it with french fries (seasoning was good but a little heavy on the salt).Our waiter did a great job with making sure my party had everything we needed. The take out service is poor. I have forgiven the occasional forgotten utensil or condiment, but the takeout is rarely ready when quoted. A few days ago, I waited in my vehicle for over 10 minutes past my pickup time. When I went inside to get my own food, noone acknowledged me. After a few minutes, a man approached me to just ask my name. There was no sorry for the wait, Hello, thanks for being patient....nothing. So he was gone for another few minutes before he returned with my bag of food. Again , no conversation....no thank you, no sorry for your wait. He just handed me my food and turned around to leave. When I stood there completely appalled, I loudly stated THANK YOU. He turned around to look at me like I was rude. After 20 minutes PAST my pickup time, to find out this rude gentleman with NO CUSTOMER SERVICE ABILITY is the owner is VERY disturbing. VERY DISTURBING. So sad. We were promptly seated just after 4 pm on a Wednesday. Hostess was nice and asked if we preferred a booth or table. We chose a booth. Our attentive server quickly brought fresh bread and butter. The butter was soft whipped deliciousness! We looked at the combination dinners and noticed there wasn't anywhere with steak and ribs, so we opted to split a porterhouse and a full rack of baby backs. I was really hoping for an early bird menu. I guess places don't do that anymore? The baby backs were delicious! The sauce was sweet and the steak was cooked to medium rare. Im not sure if I would order a porterhouse again, because it wasn't as big as I thought it would be, but it was still plenty large. Maybe a ribeye next time? The sauce on the ribs was delicious, but when I order this again I'll ask to bring buffalo sauce because it was a little sweet for me. Ive definitely been on a carnivorous kick of late. However, for sides I chose a salad with blue cheese and a loaded baked potato. You can't go wrong with either. As always, the sweet potato with butter and brown sugar never disappoints either! Not sure what to say... Service was BAD!! From the rude dismissive waitress (dark haired long ponytail short) who just "stayed away!" Just dropping our food aggressively and not saying a word?? Came for a birthday, it was nice. I had been in once before, setting had low dim lights. For a Thursday night it was pretty empty inside. Food was good, but did not taste of quality. I do like Longhorn! I actually thought I liked Outback, which is directly across the street so much that I'd never go back to Longhorn. After going to this Longhorn several times recently, I have changed my opinion and really like the sirloin steak and baked potato just as much! The steak is consistently flavorful and tender. Also, my steak has been cooked as ordered each time. Instead of the blooming onion, Longhorn has onion petals. They are not as greasy as the blooming onion! The large plate of onion petals are crispy and deliciously salty! We have had service by Odessa each late evening that I have gone and she is always so pleasant when our large group rolls in late evening, each time. Sat bar side in a booth with Danuta as our server. She's worked at Longhorn for 27 years! Danuta was lovely as were the hostesses, bartender, and manager. Had a delicious meal of salmon + shrimp combo for under $30. It was so much food that I'll have lunch tomorrow also! Shout out to the cooks that I didn't meet but deserve high praise also! Why is it that the LongHorns directly around me are not as good as the ones further away? We came down from Jacksonville to St. Augustine to visit and decided to stop in as it was nearby and we were in the mood for steak and ribs. Our server Maddy took very good care of us and even complimented my Apple watch bumper. She suggested the Perfect Margarita ( 100% blue agave el Jimador Tequila, Patrón Citrónge, and all-natural sweet & sour) over the Texas one as it was just a house marg, nothing to write home about. Yeah, she upsold me but it was worth it. It looked so good when she dropped it off at the table and it came out with its own shaker. By the end of the meal I was able to get 2 and 3/4 drinks out of it. He got the Peach Sangria and then tried the Blazin Berry Sangria, to which he preferred the latter. The White Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms (roasted mushrooms, garlic herb cheese, Parmesan crust, creamy four cheese sauce) and the Firecracker Chicken Wraps (Spicy grilled chicken and cheese tortillas) were so delicious! They both came out on long serving dishes and we had a small booth so we had to move some things around to make room. He ordered a 12oz Ribeye, medium well, with a side salad with raspberry vinagrette and mashed potatoes. I got the Half Rack of Ribs with broccoli and a side salad with raspberry vinagrette. When his entree came out, it looked divine, juicy, seasoned appropriately, and not so fatty. Cutting into it, we saw that it was cooked medium, which was fine because after a bite we were blown away. That steak was 100 times better than the one we had the week before. My ribs were cooked perfectly and the meat slid right off the bones. I'm glad they provided wet wipes because it was very messy. I wanted to go here so 4 of us arrived at 6:45 on a Friday night. No wait (for a table). Server introduced himself fairly quickly and that was the end of anything quickly. Ordered 3 beers, & 1 berry sangria (tasty, but $10.49). Beers took 10 minutes, sangria 5 minutes more (really?) Ordered Texan Tonions for all to share. If you like "Blooming Onions", you will be very disappointed. It was loose pieces of onion overly breaded and just sorta warm. In the meantime we ordered Main courses. Bread was meh. Salads were fine & fairly prompt. But the rest took nearly 45 minutes & my filet which I ordered medium rare, came as medium well so it had to be returned & took another 20 minutes to come back. I'm giving review a kind 3* because 2 people in party had cheeseburgers they enjoyed (although it took 2 requests & 15 minutes to get ketchup) & our 4th had a rib eye steak he thought was excellent. Decor is nice but it is noisy/loud. This was not an overly crowded restaurant this night, the kitchen needs to be faster & better, & they seemingly need more servers. read more

I've eaten here multiple times...both dine-in and takeout...and I've never had a bad meal. The food is always delicious and super filling. Their steak seasoning is absolutely mouthwatering, and their burgers? Incredible. I love a good burger, and these are next-level...juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The servers are always attentive and kind, making the experience even better. The restaurant itself is spacious with plenty of seating, and it has a simple, country-style vibe with some nice paintings on the walls. I went there for dinner with my wife and it was a horrible experience. We ordered an appetizer Firecracker Wrap and it was super salty to the point that we couldn't eat it. My wife ordered the salmon with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The meal presentation was horrifying with liquid all over the plate and they put seasoning all over the plate. I wish I had taken a picture. I ordered a Flo filet medium and it came overcooked. Extremely disappointed and for sure we won't return to this restaurant, it felt like dining at McDonalds. The server was nice and the Mgr had a nonchalant attitude about the meal and just discounted the meal but no mention about training her staff. I do not recommend this location at all! read more

Had my birthday dinner here with hubby. We went early just before the dinner crowd showed up. We didn't have to wait long for a table. Our server couldn't have been more attentive and friendly. She kept our drinks full and checked in on us several times. We got the Wild West shrimp appetizer to start. It's our all time favorite appetizer here. The breaded shrimp are served in a long boat type dish with a dipping sauce and sprinkled with spicy peppers. We devoured our complimentary fresh loaf of bread as soon as it came. YumO! We decided to split an entree and ordered the ribeye sandwich with fries and added an additional garden salad. Our waitress was so nice and split the sandwich onto two plates. Actually, I have a lot of stories about the service because I end up with gift cards for here all the time. someone else chose that we get together here, not me. This is today's story and it's actually a bit funny, but mildly infuriating. The waitress saw that we were a large party and was salivating over the tip, it was obvious. I ordered the LH burger. In the section it's in says that I can pick a side but the burger specifically says fries. The lady asked what side I wanted and I specifically said "fries are fine". She reiterated, "but you can pick a side" and I replied, "Mac and cheese, I guess." I knew there would be an up charge, she said there would be, I agreed to it, whatever. When my burger showed up there were no fries. My sister and mother looked at my plate and both agreed that she implied I would get both. She asked if everything was okay and I said yes. My thought was she got me fair and square. My mother complained more than I did about that, but it was fine. My brother in law didn't want his fries and at the end of the meal slid his plate down to me. Finally! The fries in which I crave! The fries that I long for! This lady comes up behind me while I have fries in my hand that I'm eating and says, "I'll just take that." I managed to eat like four of them. My mother almost cried from laughing at me. That lady was bound and determined to not let me get my fries. Lady, I took the up charge out of your tip. We separated the bill because your service was crap. The manager stopped in. I considered saying something as he rushed past with his phone with a football game on it playing in his hand and asked if everything was alright. I want you to know, that it killed me inside to not leave a good tip. I'm the dude who leaves a cooler out for the UPS guy with cold waters and a Gatorade. Service people need to be tipped. She made my $17 burger plus a Coke into a $24 meal. I took the $4 up charge out of your tip. Thanks for paying for my lackluster mac and cheese, I guess. read more

I found the lamb chops, newly added to the menu, to be a disappointment. They were fatty, stringy, and difficult to pry away from the bone. Being rib chops and not the meatier loin chops, each of the five ribs produced only a tiny medallion of meat. Switching to loin chops would be a step in the right direction, but restaurants usually don't offer them, because they are less decorative in plating than the rib version. I'm from Dallas and know steaks. Yes, this is a chain restaurant and kinda average. Steaks are thin but have a good flavor. Atmosphere is totally western and done well. Usually I enjoy coming here and enjoy it, but my last experience was not good . Me and my family came in to celebrate my dad's birthday and I'm not sure what was up but everything was off . We got the shrimp appetizer and it was extremely salty . The lobster and clam chowder had no flavor so we got the French onion and that was even saltier . I'm not sure why but everything was so salty and the food was just mediocre we ended up boxing it up and taking it home . Absolutely the best experience at dinner tonight.Arrived and was told there was a 20 minute wait and it went much quicker than that . Our waitress Rebecca was so wonderful. She was extremely quick in taking our drink orders and getting our hot bread and butter .We were ready to order and had salad with strawberries and pecans. Then we had flat iron steak which was cooked just right . At one point the store manager Scott came over to see how our service was ...
