    New Year's Eve Dessert menu

If you are looking for above superb food and service in a casual yet homey atmosphere then this is your place!! The restaurant has the feel of a home yet gives you a sophisticated dining experience. The location will set you back a few notes but the food and presentation are well worth the visit. There are various dining areas within the restaurant plus a bar area as well. This is fine dining but in a relaxed environment. Excellent place for a special occasion or to impress a special someone. Reservations are highly encouraged. They have an extensive wine list and a full bar. If you visit St Augustine, FL then make it a point to come here for a memorable dining experience!!

Excellent choice for New Year's Eve 2026! Fixed menu with three components all were outstanding. At least 6 entree options, something for everyone. Several dessert options too. Portions were perfect and the service was experienced and friendly professional. Truly an amazing experience. Loving restaurant with an intimate dining spots with a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend for an elevated dining experience.

Christmas time in St Augustine and oh what a crowd! That is why we chose Raintree. It was very easy to make reservations. The ability to park on-site with my family was huge. A party of eight and three with disabilities, this restaurant was perfect. The beautiful gazebo and holiday decorations put us in the holiday mood. Now let's talk food! Amazing!! Each of our dishes were crafted with care. It's been years since we had been there. I'm so glad we came back. P.S. leave room for dessert.

Food was phenomenal! My husband had a pasta with lobster and shrimp along with a ceasar salad. Don't recall what it was called. I had a brandy butter pepper steak. Oh my!!!So delicious. Coated in pepper and the sauce was amazing. Salads were excellent. Mine had a house made ranch that was no ordinary ranch. For dessert my husband had a chocolate mousse and I an excellent Crème Broulle (?) while our waiter sang us a beautiful song very softly for our anniversary.... Great experience.

We stopped my last Sunday for Father's Day brunch. We took the drive down to St.Augustine and I was pleased they have their own parking lot. We were promptly seated and our waitress was prompt, attentive and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the brunch offerings which were pretty hearty and tasty. We liked the variety of offerings from the escargot to duck and waffles to the lobster baked salmon and grits. One person in the party ordered the beef Wellington and told me it was properly done.

What a terrible place. Came here for brunch, didn't make a reservation. This place is proud to be serving people for 40 years but it looks like no updates were made for the last 40 years. Most people dining were extremely old as well, definitely not a place for a young crowd. Service was terrible, very rude and condescending. There were people dining next to us who asked about the menu, and our server told them "the menu is self explanatory" . I ordered hot tea and server brought me black tea. He never asked me which type I wanted. When I said "I don't drink black tea" he said they also have green. Would be nice to ask which tea person wants. Food was pretty bad. Waffles were probably the worst we ever tried. Not sure how can you ruin waffles. Avocado toast was super simple, definitely overpriced. Turkey sausages were super average, kind of like a diner sausage. Definitely not for the price they charge. Overall pretty bad experience. Go somewhere else.

What a great restaurant! We came for an anniversary dinner and had a handwritten note waiting for us. There were several other celebrations happening around us. The food was delicious and the service perfect.

My family had a wonderful time tonight at The Raintree celebrating my mom's birthday. Our waiter, Kit, was probably the best server we have ever had at a restaurant. My whole family was cracking up and we'd go to the restaurant even if the food was bad just for him. On top of that, everyone at the table raved about their soup, salad, and entrees. If we didn't have ice cream and cake waiting at home we would have definitely ordered the bread pudding. We will be back again very soon.

The vibe to this restaurant is so cute. The lights outside make the seating especially beautiful at night. The food was amazing and we had such a great time. My only wish was that their hours were a little longer. Next time we hope to make it to their Sunday brunch.

This place is fabulous! The groom's family of the wedding I was part of had a rehearsal dinner here and it was lovely. We had the room on the second floor of the restaurant all to ourselves. Several banquet style tables were set up and the room was done up beautifully. There were several staff that were assigned to our room and they were pretty attentive. We had wine/beer that was available to us and we pre-picked our main course when replying back to the invitation for the rehearsal dinner. I chose the steak and it was incredible. We did start with a salad that was quite refreshing and light and it paired well with the steak. The place itself is classic American and just has a really nice aesthetic all around. I would definitely come back here on my next trip for a nice dinner and try their menu à la carte.

Last night's dinner at Raintree Restaurant was probably one of the best meals we have ever had. It was my first time having Beef Wellington and Crispy Peking Duck, and it was amazing! The restaurant itself was beautiful and welcoming, especially with all of the holiday decor. Highly recommend to anyone visiting St Augustine!

Ask the Community - The Raintree Restaurant

In the Chianti room or lounge is it quiet enough to have toasts or speeches for a special occasion?

I would say you'd want to sit outside on the patio for a toast. It can get loud inside. They do have a smaller seating area inside that might be quiet enough to have toasts/speeches however.

    Is the patio dog friendly?

yes, the patio is pet friendly

    Any gluten free bread options?

No, we do not have any gluten free bread options

    Are reservations required?

We were able to secure a table for 2 in the beginning of June with out a reservation but I'm going to assume it really depends on the time of year and how many tourists are in the area.

    Is there parking?

No you have to helicopter in and rappel down a rope like "Blackhawk down" Yes some spots on the main road and a dozen or so behind the establishment.

I had maybe the most bibimbap of my life here, and that includes contenders from a number of restaurants in the Atlanta area. It was truly perfect. $8 for adding tofu (maybe 1/4 block lmao) is one of the funniest things I've ever seen financially, but hey it's a tourist area and it was absolutely made with skill & care, so I wasn't even mad. Seriously, I wanted to hug whoever cooked it. It is so worth it. Everyone else at my table was thrilled with what they got - burrata sandwiches and a fish sandwich. Not a good beer selection, it's very cocktail focused. Not my thing but yeah I will absolutely be back anytime I am in this wonderful city. This is not one to skip

First, the seating. The tables are unusually tall, making us feel like little kids trying to sit at the adults' table. It wasn't comfortable for anyone in our group. Then there were the lights. They continuously blinked above our table, and it was so distracting that we asked to move. Unfortunately, the second table had the same issue. I know St. Augustine is famous for its ghosts, but I wasn't expecting them to be playing with the lights at 7:00 p.m. while the sun was still shining! The biggest frustration was ordering. We were told menu items could be modified, but after placing our order the server kept returning one item at a time to tell us they actually couldn't make the requested changes. It would have been much better to know that before ordering. The pickle appetizer was another disappointment. Based on the description, I expected a pickle-forward appetizer. Instead, it was mostly kimchi, pickled onions, and other pickled vegetables with only five slices of actual pickles. I honestly don't have the words to describe how disappointing that dish was. I was also excited to try the tzatziki green beans, but the crisp pickled green beans tasted more like fermented green sticks than an enjoyable side dish. The baked Brie arrived with what I initially thought was melted cheese inside the croissant, but it turned out to be undercooked raw dough. Imagine my surprise when I realized I had just taken a bite of raw dough. I actually started feeling sick before we even left the restaurant. My younger son ordered the house root beer, which tasted extremely watered down. He also had the pasta with added grilled chicken, but the chicken was dark meat, overly shiny, and completely unappetizing to him. I ordered the non-alcoholic Velvet Slippers mocktail. One sip was enough--I honestly can't find the words to describe how unpleasant it tasted. My friend ordered the steak sandwich and requested the peppers be left off. After ordering, she was told they couldn't accommodate that request, so she had to pick the peppers off herself and still didn't enjoy the sandwich. My older son ordered the lamb sirloin. Even though lamb is often served medium-rare, this was so rare it looked like it was still bleating. We paid our bill before dessert because my stomach was already upset. I ended up making one last stop in the restroom before catching up with my family, who were already halfway down the street, ready to forget Forgotten Tonic. Sadly, this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we've had. Between the uncomfortable seating, blinking lights, inability to accommodate simple modifications, disappointing food, and getting sick before leaving the restaurant, we won't be returning.

The history, ambiance, food, and hospitality were all exceptional. Renee, our server, made the evening feel so personal. She was warm, genuine, and incredibly knowledgeable. Panos, the manager, also stopped by our table and was so friendly and welcoming; everyone genuinely cared about creating a great experience. Every dish was outstanding. The escargot was perfectly cooked (not rubbery at all) with the ideal balance of garlic butter, paired with an incredible fresh-baked baguette. The foie gras was excellent, the steak au poivre was cooked beautifully, and the duck confit was probably the best I've ever had. The red wine-marinated grapes were such a delightful, unexpected touch. For dessert, the lavender crème brûlée was such a unique and incredible flavor profile, very light and delicate, beautifully executed, and the chocolate mousse was just as good. After I left, I checked a few photos out online and only wish I had a chance to try the burger and the peach dessert thing. Also the oysters - couple next to us had them at the end and I wish I had saved room for a few. It's rare to find a restaurant where every part of the experience, from the food to the people, feels this special. We only wish we lived closer. Such an incredible place.
