Overall, this is a good Texas Roadhouse and it wasn't far off of Interstate 95 and across the street from the hospital. The service and ambiance were good and overall, both added to my experience. I was tired after a very long day and this restaurant not only provided a good meal, but a respite from the road and allowed me a moment to just chill and just breathe for a moment. The service and ambiance were both what you would expect froma mid-tier chain restaurant, I don't mean that in any kind of negative way, but rather, both were pleasant, but these chains do tend to have a consistent theme. It was consistent with what I get at our local Texas Roadhouse. I really love their house salad. I probably should just order that as my meal with an app. It got busy and subsequently noisy. Having had dinner here several times in the past, we decided recently to have dinner again. Ordered the 20 ounce Rib-Eye Steak with mash potatoes and gravy.The Rib-Eye Steak turned out to have literally a quarter to almost half fat on it and took several minutes to cut away leaving a small portion of good meat. We did let the Server know which eventually lead to a Supervisor stopping by. He said he would take some off the bill however, that did not happen. We then asked for the Floor Manager I told her and then lead to a discussion with owner. Although this is a good place to dine, this experience has left us not wanting to return. Our first time at this location did not disappoint. We popped in around 6ish on a Friday evening after a Costco trip and were told it would be a 5-15 minute wait. We were seated pretty much immediately. Our server, Emily, was great and the food was delicious (especially those rolls!). On our last visit at a different location in town my ribeye was almost too salty but this one was perfect. My husband was also pleased with his surf & turf (shrimp and sirloin). We visited this location for spring break, we arrived and had to wait probably 5-10 minutes to be seated. Once sat the waiter was on point and very attentive. His energy was great! Don't recall his name but people like him should be more recognizable by the restaurant. We ordered steaks and the food was good, they could have don't a better job with the steak cooking since we asked for medium rare and it was cooked more than requested. We didn't give the restaurant a hard time to take it back but it's an observation. The restaurant was clean and all the staff were nice and friendly. read more

1st time at Texas Roadhouse ever. The meal started out okay. Lacy was our server. We order fried pickles as a starter and a couple of drinks. We enjoyed those hot cross rolls. It was very busy due to being a school spirit night. Our server seems to rush to place our order. We all ordered. Why 20 minutes into waiting, the front of the house manager comes over to tell us that they're all out of Prime Rib. It's 6pm. How are you out? Hubby orders a sirloin instead. Not 5 minutes later our food is coming out but Hubby's has just started cooking. What does that mean, either our food was going to get cold waiting on his order or he would have to eat alone. So I gave Hubby half of my food so we could all eat together. Lacy didn't comeback for a while. The front of the house manager didn't comeback back to check on us. But they did line dance twice in the area. I asked for my Beef Tips to be cooked Medium Well. They were more Medium Rare. Just disappointed. When I got Lacy's attention, we asked for hubby's order to be boxed to go since he had already eaten mine. She immediately came back with the bill for our table. We didn't even get to order dessert. Our server was Nettie. This was our first time at this location, even though we live just seven minutes away. We arrived on a Saturday around 5:30 the restaurant was half full. The parking lot appeared to be full, but by further inspection, you see that the parking lot is surrounded by new cars from the dealership. I don't think he would run out of parking so don't be deterred if you think the restaurant is full because it is not. There was plenty of staff, and everybody was hustling and pleasant to interact with. We were set immediately. The bread at our table was warm my husband asked for plain butter, which never came. When we were at a barcode was placed on the edge of our table by the hostess. About 20 minutes into our seating the assistant manager came by introduced himself. They looked to be about 21 years old. He took the barcode and said let him know if there's anything that we needed. I found it very odd that he would wear a bass pro shop baseball cap when everyone else is wearing Texas roadhouse baseball caps. I ordered the Dallas fillet my husband ordered the New York strip . We compare the tenderness and my husband felt that they were the same, but I will say my steak was pink all the way through the edges due to ordering it medium rare he ordered medium rare, but the outer half inch of his steak was only slightly pink. I think that the onions and mushrooms must be cooked in that broom gravy that came with the mashed potatoes. You can't taste the onions or the mushrooms because it's so overpowering. I haven't been to Texas roadhouse in so long, but I forgot about this. I'd also forgotten how the mashed potatoes here are not whipped. They're more chunky if that's your style that's great but when I dug around my potatoes, there was like darker areas and then there were lighter areas. I don't know if this is because they sit in a sheet pan in the top gets a little browned due to oxidation or not. However, it did not make that appealing to me. I think they lack creaminess. But if you literally want mashed potatoes, like just squished potatoes, this is your style. Our salads did come out quickly . The restaurant was clean. I did not use the bathrooms because we live around the corner. Everybody in the restaurant seemed happy and satisfied with their experience. The bar was probably 2/3 full. Texas roadhouse is a good stop for a family meal. Unfortunately, the last time we were there, our medium rare ordered. Steaks were extremely undercooked - even when sent back to be cooked a little bit longer. It ended up taking so long that two of us did not really get to eat so we just took it home. We've been here several times in past year for meals. Today was not good. Both the prime rib and ribeyes were subpar, gristled, fatty and extra thin. The prime rib was tough and essentially inedible. It was replaced with a poorer quality slice which my wife left uneaten. The ribeye was exactly 1/2 inch thick, yes, I measured it, and pancake shaped, essentially flat and round. I ate it reluctantly which was a bad choice, very fatty and grisly. Clearly, something not good is going on here, each subsequent visit has been less satisfactory. By comparison, the same restaurant brand at the town center is much preferred as meat quality seems superior. Whatever the problem, supplier, management or selection and preparation process, needs serious attention. Good luck, we won't be back. read more

Went on a Tuesday right at opening and this staff was on the ball. I got seated pretty quickly despite the line out the door. The music is so loud, which I don't care for, but once seated it's manageable. It's kind of your typical chain steakhouse though, everything is a little sticky. The rolls-amazing! We ate here last night for dinner in the pouring rain. The most disappointing thing was silly people at the front door who wouldn't move out of the way of people running in from the rain. It seems unfair to criticize the place for a long wait on grand opening week, so I won't. They even brought free samples of their appetizers to keep the crowd happy. The bread rolls were awesome. I would honestly go back just for those. What I really want to talk about are the portion sizes. I guess they say everything is bigger in Texas, but my roughly $17 country fried chicken was MONSTROUS (as well as perfectly juicy) and it still came with two sides. They probably also have the cheapest beer in St. Augustine, $3.50 for a 22-ounce draft of Bud Light. My only real complaints: - The music was VERY loud most of the time we were there, to the point where our seats were vibrating and conversation was difficult. Luckily someone from corporate was walking around asking for feedback and was nice enough to turn it down for us. - There were some minor mistakes with our orders, like missing sauces and extra drinks. Ultimately, I think many of these things, but especially the bad things, can be chalked up to the fact that it was the grand opening. My first visit to TR was inn Colorado Springs. The staff really like working there and enjoyed serving guests and interacting with their co-workers. Back in the day, folks could grab a bucket of peanuts in the shell and drop the shells on the floor. The peanut police stopped that, such a shame. Finding the food well prepared and delicious, we made early bird visits at least once a week. One time, the staff began line dancing and the guests were delighted. As diners enter the restaurant, there is a display case where one can select various cuts of beef. We enjoyed good times with our son and our grandchildren's birthdays. So Saint Augustine in this area of town there's slim Pickens when it comes to restaurants so Texas roadhouse was quite packed on a Saturday night. However, I was quite surprised by the exceptional organization from reserving a table to the less than hour weight that was quoted to being escorted quickly to our table. We had an exceptional server and the food came out in relatively quick time and was excellent. When we got our steaks, the server waited while we check the wellness of our order. My steak was fine, but my son was a little undercooked and they took it back immediately to make the correction. Overall, this is probably the best service I've ever had at a Texas roadhouse I can't say enough about the friendly staff and organization. The Decor is always the same theme they have in all there other restaurants. The food was outstanding , I think they have the best steak on the NEFC. I would give negative 5 stars if possible, went with a party of 6 all our food was wrong and my kids food never came out, the server told us the chili was going to be microwaved because they heat well had been off for over an hour. I ordered my burger MR and received a hockey puck, texas road house is our go to back in Orlando, very disappointed left hungry and drove 2 hours back home with an empty stomach and full of regret, the manager never stopped by to try and fix things she was too busy at the bar with regular customers. Let me start with I love Texas Roadhouse. It's my fail safe but tonight was a bad night. Food was great as always but the service was just horrible. Our waitress Reagan might've been having a bad day but I don't think I should be penalized for that. Got in no hi how's it's going straight to business ok that's fine. My fiancé ordered a Tito's vodka soda extra lemon. Drink comes no lemon so my fiancé goes can I please get some extra lemons she's like oh yeah. Comes back with limes and my fiancé goes can I get lemons not lines she's like oh ok. She comes back with lemons, I try to make a lighthearted joke like I mix them up all the time and Reagan goes yeah they both sound the same, ok. We ordered our food and appetizers. Appetizers come and five minutes later our food comes. If I know it would be that fast I wouldn't have ordered appetizers. When I ordered my steak I asked for horseradish. No horseradish comes so I'm half way done with my steak and she shows up and is like everything ok. I'm like can I get the horseradish no sorry it didn't come. She just comes back and puts it on the table. She never came back and asked if we wanted another drink, the whole evening just felt rushed and she wanted us gone.
