Best meal we have had in Branson, but also the most expensive. This is definitely a nice steakhouse, especially for the area. If it was located in a different part of the country, it would be an nice/upper end steakhouse, but not high end. All of my party got steak, 3 filets and 1 strip. Everyone said that their steaks were good, but I did notice that at least one of them was definitely a bit under cooked vs what she ordered. The sides were good. We got a couple of baked potatoes that were good sized, the mushrooms, and 2 orders of asparagus. I love asparagus, as do others, and we didnt finish what was brought. There was some sauce on them that didnt make them as delicious as the other items. We felt somewhat out of place compared to the other folks in the restaurant, but the waiter/host/etc. were still great. The restaurant is located on the second floor of the Hilton, which I am sure influenced some of the clientele. You can definitely tell that they were short staffed (as is everywhere right now), but our waiter did awesome for as many tables as they had to tend to. The only real problem that we had was that the place was extremely dimly lit. To the point that it was difficult to read the menu, or really see the others at your table. I would have liked to see more lighting, but if that is the biggest issue then this is a winner in my book! read more

A lovely restaurant in The Landing in Branson. Very old-school steakhouse ambiance, with a "bit" of modernized style. Food to try... Appies: crab cakes (all crab - so so good!) and the fried deviled eggs (TDF!). SKIP the calamari - not worth it! Sides: Brussel sprouts, filled asparagus, and mashed potatoes - HUGE portions and really tasty. Enough for six to share. Entrees: except for me - our entire party ordered the petit filet (RARE) and added a lobster tail. I had the lobster tail - delish and the warm, clarified butter was perfect! My family and friends raved about the filets. ALSO - a really cool and unique offering at Level 2...you get to CHOOSE YOUR KNIFE from a selection of five. I have been to steakhouses literally all over the world and have never experienced this offering before. Cool! Dessert: Missouri Butter Cake and Vanilla Creme Brûlée - both tasty and excellent for sharing. Our service was excellent - the perfect amount...caring yet not hovering. Incredible food. Cooked exactly how we requested. I got the prime rib and my husband got the strip steak. Prime rib was an inch thick and the strip was an inch and a half. I called for a last minute birthday dinner and they told me to come right on in on CHRISTMAS EVE! Everything was fantastic. The service was great just as well as the food. He said he wanted to go somewhere where we could get prime steaks with good wine. We found Level 2 Steakhouse inside the Hilton Hotel. Level 2 since its on the second floor. We walked in and the hostess greeted us and we asked if they had a bar and could we eat at it. Yes and yes. The bar is on the outer edge of the restaurant. We ordered cocktails and looked over the menu. Like a Ruth Chris Steakhouse where everything is ala carte and the prices are similar. We shared the shrimp cocktail which was five large shrimp with a spicy cocktail sauce. Very good. For dinner he ordered the large filet with Carmelized onions and I ordered the petite filet with a garlic butter sauce. We decided to split the loaded baked potato since the portions of the sides are huge. Everything melted in your mouth. Dessert? Well, why not. After looking over the dessert menu, we went with the seven layer chocolate cake. It was big enough to feed the entire bar area but we selfishly late it ourselves. Would I come back here? We were looking for a great steak in Branson and Level 2 was recommended to us by a local. It's located in the Hilton hotel. Very nice hotel and restaurant. I give four stars mostly due to the surly hostess that we encountered. I called ahead to make a reservation for four. We arrive 20 minutes later to a very empty restaurant and stating that we had a reservation at specified time. I accidentally gave her my first name instead of my last name and she looked at her book and said "we don't have a reservation under that name" and snapped her book shut. Hmm, there are more hospitable ways to resolve a misunderstanding with a few simple questions. On to the good part - the food and our waiter. Misha was our waiter and was very friendly and professional. I ordered the wedge salad and a filet. The dinner menu is a la carte. Mischa was a very thorough and detailed waiter and didn't rush by your table. My salad was nice, then my filet arrived at the table. I love a steak with a great char and juicy medium pink inside. I cut into my steak and it was overcooked. The flavor was delicious but it was also on the dry side. I was going to mention this to Misha when he returned to our table. A few bites into my steak, I saw the chef come out of the kitchen with a plated steak. He looked at our table and I said "that's not ours". He promptly walked over to me and said "I did not like the way that steak finished.' The replacement steak was perfect - flavorful, tender, juicy and cooked perfectly. Forgot to mention the very fun part - Misha brought out a velvet box filled with different steak knives and offered each guest the option to choose their knife for the meal. We spent Thanksgiving lunch here and it was fantastic. From our waiter (Tristan) to the food, we couldn't have asked for a better holiday. The buffet offered everything from breakfast (omlette station!) to the traditional Thanksgiving foods, plus king crab legs. And did I mention the bottomless mimosas, bloody marys, and wine?! We made a reservation a month ago and received multiple confirmations and reminders for the reservation. When we arrived at our designated date and time we were told they did not have a reservation and would see if they could accommodate us...for my wife's BIRTHDAY. We were informed by a rather poor example of a hostess they "MAY" be able to seat us in the bar, even though they were not busy. Being from Scottsdale we are accustomed to some what how brow service, but this is Branson. My husband and I really enjoyed the ambiance of this restaurant! It took us a minute to find the location since it's inside the Hilton! The bread that they serve was meh, nothing to write home about. But the fries-oh my goodness the fries were so delicious! They're served family style and it's a huge serving! Definitely get the fries if you come here! The whipped mashed potatoes were also yummy. Our 1 year old ate at least half of the bowl. The steaks were a little chewy & not the best cut of meat. I had to send mine back for being undercooked and my husband's was also undercooked but he didn't mind. The wait staff was very professional and kind. They bring out knives for you to choose from for your meal and I can't decide if this is a nice touch or slightly odd. The filet mignon that I ordered was absolutely perfect, a beautiful medium rare. The Brussels side and truffle fries sides we ordered were huge and delicious. Bernice was our server and she was top notch from start to finish. They bring out a case of steak knives which you get to choose from for your meal. They have an excellent beer and wine and liquor selection- including some rare bourbons. I would absolutely bring guests back here. This might be the nicest restaurant in Branson. Taste and Quality - I'd tie them with my pick as the best (with Worman House at Big Cedar). The food was superb and I can find no fault in their offerings. Be warned that your parking options are not the best - you either pay $8 to park in the garage across the street then hike up some stairs to cross over to the 2nd level of the convention center where you still have a long walk. Or, you pay for valet parking at the entrance to the hotel and save yourself several steps. The atmosphere is classic old-school with decreased lighting that is just enough to barely be able to read the menu. But, hey - that's ambiance at a high end restaurant, right?! Our server was a professional through and through; but I'd have liked him to be more attentive. Trying to get his attention for a water refill and to request salt took a little while. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars. My favorite cut of beef is the prime rib and their's was excellent albeit different. Even though I ordered medium rare, it was very firm; unlike other prime ribs I've eaten, and more like a thick and firm Porterhouse. However, it was excellent in seasoning and taste. The vegetables were perfect, including the baked potato which not everyone can pull off as well as here. My fiancé and I ate here with our friends to treat ourselves to a fancy dinner and for the most part it was great. The service was amazing and the ambiance too. The food was good but it didn't blow our minds, still very enjoyable though. The only thing I would say is the deviled eggs appetizer was not good, non of us liked it. We did sit by some pretentious people who laughed at us for taking pictures together and that didn't ruin the experience but obviously is hateful on their part. We had dinner there, Saturday, May 18th. The last time we were there was perhaps two years ago. And I'm glad that the food is as good as I remembered. The Black Tiger prawns, the crab cake with the dried cranberry sauce, the 9 ounce filet mignon I had and the 14-ounce ribeye that my husband had, were delicious. And I can't say enough about dessert, the Missouri Butter Cake, every bite and morsel of it was a moist, buttery, creamy, and yummy delight. The only fly, or I should say flies in the ointment were the snooty hostesses. The first one tried to give us the worse table in the place, one that no other guest wanted, and denied our request to be moved. Our waitress was really nice, and she offered to check again, and we were told that if we were willing to wait, we would get another table. The other hostess who seated us to a better table sarcastically asked if we were happy with our new table, 2x. I was happy to see that they were not working the next morning when we had breakfast there because they marred what was otherwise a wonderful dining experience. Came in with the Lady for her birthday. The place is up scale but not pretentious. So dress up but business casual is fine. Top points for our waitress. She had roses on our table for the Lady. Nice touch. We split a calamari app with miso mayo and really liked the it. The star being the miso mayo. Really good. I go for the Filet Mignon and the Lady went for the New York Strip. For our sides we did the pick 3 of Asparagus, mixed mushrooms, and garlic mashed potatoes. We also got to pick out our knives. Really fun. The lady said her steak was cooked well and I have to say mine was right on the money too. The seared crust was really good. We also liked the sides. My favorite was the mixed mushrooms. For desert we had the creme brulee and really liked it. Our only issue was the decor was nice but the background music was a bit more pop than elegant. Not terrible but we felt it was odd. So this steakhouse was the nicest place we have been to in Branson. We started with the L2 salad, which was incredible. The steak was amazing as well. It was cooked perfectly. The sides were a la carte, and were also fantastic. However, most of them were very rich and heavy. Perhaps we ordered too much food and sink, but it all sat really heavy on us. The prices were pretty expensive, but that is to be expected of a very nice restaurant. The atmosphere was another nice touch. Be sure to check out the photos. It was calm and quiet with a nice dark, modern color scheme and design. Perhaps it was a slow night, but we were seated instantly, and the restaurant was almost empty. Our service was also fantastic.
