I have no damn clue what "Jessica" from "Zebra Strings" was talking about in her review. I was here at the same time at watched the staff killing themselves with two bus loads of kids in addition to massive amounts of adults. Every tray was carried for every diner with a greeting and a smile. What I saw was hard-working people keeping every drink full. The guys behind the buffet had to constantly deal with kids standing in the way as they carried hot food from the kitchen. No one was rude or even short with anyone patrons. My waitress, Jacqueline, was so very sweet. She kept my drinks full and got me extra plates. Don't listen to the hateful comments on here. This place had great, fresh food with awesome service. Buffets have such variety, that direct comparisons are difficult - but The GCB compares favorably to Western Sizzlin (WS). The GCB salad-bar has slightly less variety than WS, but the GCB entree selection was better than we found on our recent WS visits. Same ice-cream machines, but the GCB desserts were a bit better. We stopped in for their lunch Buffet which is located inside the Grand Country Resort. Im not familiar with the Resort but it looked like quite the entertainment complex. First off the price of the buffet was definitely on the high side ( Buffet & Beverage was $ 22.37 ) But the selection of food was better than average & everything was kept hot & fresh as well as upper quality of the food itself. The staff did a nice job of keeping our drinks refilled & removing the dirty plates off of our table. We look forward to returning to the Grand Country Resort/Buffet. read more

The main entrees consisted of fried chicken, baked chicken meatloaf, chicken pot pie, fried shrimp, fried fish is a person that doesn't really want to eat fried foods, it just seems like all the seafood options were fried, there wasn't any nice Cooked meats like a prime rib or Nice ham or Roast Beef or something like thit was very similar to Golden Corral, but at a but $4 more. And much fewer items. So Golden Corral, I would give 3 stars, and this was less than less the nap. The staff did a fine job with the waitressing. read more

We visit Grand Country Buffet about monthly. Previously we periodically visited by using their readily available lunch coupons. However, we found the food at GCB to be consistently good, fresh, and the restaurant clean. We had visited some other restaurants that seemingly would be better, but even things like the fried chicken at GCB is better than at the famous named PD, and all you can eat. Due to this, and that the GCB also offers an annual pass that provides a buy one, get one free option at any time (except Thanksgiving and Christmas), it provides an excellent value, so we have used the annual pass now for three years. It has selections that make it fine for carnivores, vegetarians, vegans, and other diet focused people. Our latest visits were on July 2, 3, and 4, 2026. July 2 we had Star as our server, July 3 was Brenda, and July 4 we had Melissa. All of our servers were excellent. Actually, we have always had excellent servers at GCB, and we have had all of them at some point in our visits. They kept us replenished with plates and napkins, as well as refilled our drinks. They also removed dirty plates and bowls promptly. The restaurant was clean and they clean tables well after customers leave. The general manager, Ann, is always around overseeing the process to assure everything is going well, as are her excellent assistant managers. For those who like breakfast, which is served daily from 7:00 am - 11:00 am, they have several items to select from including scrambled eggs, sausage patties, country potatoes, cream gravy, ozark omelet, waffles, sausage gravy (with lots of real pieces of sausage!), bacon, sausage links, some fruit items for the waffles, cereals, a few kinds of muffins and breads, seasonal and varying fresh fruits such as pineapple and cantaloupe, ice cream (yes, at breakfast), and made to order omelets are available until 10:30 am. For lunch, which is served Mon-Sat from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm, again there are several selections, all made fresh. There is an excellent salad bar with numerous toppings available such as grape tomatoes, black olives, broccoli, radishes, peas, beets, red onion, sunflower seeds, in addition to a variety of dressings. There are two soups to select from that change periodically and have included chicken and noodle, chili, A potato bar is available which has perfectly cooked baked potatoes and available toppings including grated cheese, sour cream, butter, bacon bits, green onions, and others. Fruits vary that usually include items such as watermelon, pineapple, and sometimes others. On the hot serving area offerings include green beans w/bacon, carrots, corn, mashed potatoes, cream gravy, chicken pot pie, meatloaf, fried chicken, roasted chicken, shrimp, fish, spicy fish, egg rolls, chicken livers, sauerkraut w/sausage, pizza. For dessert options include ice cream, blackberry cobbler, peach cobbler, chocolate sauce, cones, and others. We have not had a bad visit yet and have never been disappointed with the food. The variety of food helps us to visit several times and be able to have quite different items to eat so each day can be completely different things if we choose. On Sundays at 11:00 they have brunch which has a variation of the breakfast and lunch items, along with a carving station with ham and beef. The ham has been nicely moist and not overly salty while the beef is normally cooked nicely and they try to get you pieces cooked as you prefer. Soft drinks, milk, and juice are available beverages. The soft drinks include Dr Pepper, Diet Dr Pepper, Coke, Diet Coke, a root beer and an orange, all with free refills. There is lots of surface parking available with handicapped spaces conveniently located on a level surface to the entry. Upon entry to the GCB there is a souvenir shopping area. read more

For a buffet at $16.00. + per person, there is very little variety, the salad bar was ok, I particularly liked the fresh vegetable salad. They have wait staff supposed to refill your drinks and bring you more plates, all I can say is it's a good thing God helps those who help themselves, I refilled our water glasses 3 times, was able to get us clean plates and extra napkins. Noticed the waiter in our section stop and talk to each table except ours several times while we were eating. So disappointed, but I guess that means I get the tip read more

My two grade school kids and I ate breakfast and dinner here on vacation recently, and it was fine. The food was southern American comfort food (my favorite) and everything was at least warm to hot. There were healthy options so you could eat low calorie/high protein if you wanted, but for $22 for an adult (plus drink, so closer to $25) if you just wanted grilled chicken and rice it did feel overpriced. Kids were $10 each which was more palatable, because even the McDonald's in Branson are some of the most expensive I've seen and charge at least $6 for a Happy Meal, so with that comparison it's a good deal for them. Desserts were lacking, however. There was just cheap soft serve (which both kids loved but really it wasn't quality) and two cobblers and one really dry bread pudding that looked burnt, and also some cookies scattered around the buffet for some reason. Servers were fine but slow with refills and additional plates. Since you pay at the front before you even sit down, it was awkward to tip if you didn't have cash. There wasn't a tip line on the receipt at the register if you wanted to pre-tip on your card, and when the server introduced themselves they put a plastic card on your table with their name saying gratuities are appreciated. I would appreciate an easy way to put a tip on a credit card as I rarely carry cash. Didn't have to wait to be seated on the weekday/weeknight we went. Traveled in from TX, annual tradition for our school, and we were so excited to try this morning with our large group. Unfortunately, the cashier was extremely rude. Beware of customer service at the front. Food was good and our server at our table was polite, helpful and wonderful. Unfortunately the one employee at the front end as we paid ruined the experience. "Stacy" below with her foul mouth must be the worker who treated us so poorly this morning. Unfortunately for us Stacy, we all had our own experience and yours doesn't change ours, and as a PAYING customer I expect the basic respect of KINDNESS which we did not receive. All I wanted was for our tray to be carried with a smile, but all we got was attitude and demeaning interactions from the moment she walked up to the register. Great value for $19.99, tons of food to choose from, great for families as you're going to find some items for even your pickiest eaters to enjoy. Staff is very friendly and do an excellent job of keeping the buffet stocked and cleaned as crowds of tourists can quickly destroy a buffet but everything was kept well maintained and tidy. Our favorite was the baked chicken, seasoned nicely and cooked with crispy skin. Juicy and full of flavor. We paired it with their brown gravy and the au jus - so good!! For dessert who doesn't like making your very own soft serve, vanilla, chocolate or swirl, w cone or dish, lots of toppings if that's your thing. Assorted other desserts as well but we just enjoyed the ice cream. Nice atmosphere and if you request the porch area you get a beautiful view of the indoor mini golf which is dark but illuminated with spectacular lighting, reminded me of a Disney dark ride kind of vibe, very cool. I'm not gonna lie, I was disappointed by this breakfast buffet. It seems the reviews haven't been updated in as long as the restaurant. First, it smells old and moldy, like old dirty carpet. Honestly, we should have turned around and left but getting my kids in and out of the car is frustrating by itself. The food was bland, and not much to choose from. Best thing is the omelette station but the man making the omelette stalks, a lot. Which is probably usually fine, if you've had coffee and aren't in a hurry for food.
