Had the breakfast buffet. They had a chef to make eggs and omelets. That was very good. They were also carving ham. Coffee and juice were included. Otherwise standard breakfast items, eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, pancakes, bread, fruit, oatmeal. Steep price for what you get.

The hostess at the front was the highlight of our dinner. She was truly very sweet and really trying hard to greet people with a smile. The rest of the experience was just...okay. The cheddar biscuits were fantastic. But the rest of the food was sadly very disappointing. I ordered a Caesar salad and it was so overdressed that there was a pool of salad dressing plus liquid (maybe water from them washing the lettuce) on the plate. I couldn't finish it. The fried ravioli were very basic. I got the Prime Rib and it was grilled which was odd. It was so tough and dry that I couldn't chew it. We didn't have a view of the lake from where we were seated. I was so excited about this restaurant but for $200 and very lackluster food, we wouldn't go back sadly. The wait staff was kind though, which is why I gave it 3 stars.

Devils Pool Sundae - choc Chip cookie, brownie and Oreos. Huge

Well, it's tough bc this was right by our hotel room and thus, easy to access, but the value for quality is lacking. One night - our baby needed to go down so we ordered pick-up to go and my husband walked over to get it. We got a chicken Cobb salad and a kids cheeseburger with fries and they were both ready before promised and delicious (my Cobb didn't have the blue cheese but did have the extra tomato I asked for so, 50/50). The next night, we came in specifically for the Devil's Pool Sundae which is a decadent brookie brownie cookie with Oreos and ice cream and whipped cream and fudge. I suspect this is supposed to be served warm and it wasn't even remotely warm - super disappointing. We didn't have time to complain bc after waiting 15 minutes with our baby we couldn't wait longer before going to put her to bed. It's easy and above the pool and I like the Buzzard Bar below plus the menu has some yummy items so it's a solid 3.5 stars bc lacking in attention to details and prices aren't cheap.

During my many trips to Branson, Missouri, Devil's Pool Restaurant in Ridgedale is one of my favorite stops because of the view from its windows, the welcoming dining room, the fireplace, the professional service, and of course, the delicious menu. It's a place to enjoy any occasion or simply to relax. My only request is that they bring back the Smoked Prime Rib to the menu. Before Iet you go, Robert, is a great person and an absolute professional.

It was over 2 hours to wait upstairs so we went down stairs to eat which is the same menu. The kids Mac and cheese was bland but understandable so. The appetizer was spinach artichoke dip, it was pretty bland and had a different taste to it can't really describe it. The house salad was probably my favorite only wish goat cheese was all over salad and not in one spot. The dressing was delicious and fun to try. The salmon was delicious but underneath it, whatever it was, not good at all and made my mouth itchy! Great option while staying on property

Wonderful atmosphere and great food and drinks with fast and friendly service. The natural beauty of the area is amazing and the restaurant is located in the middle of it all!

Amazing view! The food is good and the scenic view is stunning. The service on this night was very slow, albeit friendly. I couldn't believe it took an hour to bring my dinner salad. I was told there was a large group, however, the restaurant wasn't full. It felt like an excuse. The server was very nice and offered to prepare a hit tea to go. I accepted not realizing that she was going to charge me as I thought it was a gesture of good will for the unbearable wait. Anyway, the view is lovely and the food was good but just know that the service can be slow.

Absolutely a rustic neat place to have breakfast. Our waiter was fantastic super friendly, very knowledgeable of the area to ask questions. The lady who brought us to our table was super kind great conversationalist. The food was more than we could possibly eat had amazing flavor certainly. We discovered the start of the 5K paved walking path, but due to the humidity in the air, we located the gym which is included in our stay and it was beyond fantastic for all that it offers

The breakfast buffet has it all!

When visiting Big Cedar Lodge, this restaurant is a good choice, especially for breakfast or brunch. The buffet is pricey, but we ate enough to cover two meals, so I will justify it that way! Super friendly staff make sure you are well taken care of, and the views are great too! The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It can get busy during the summer months, so it's best to make a reservation.

Summer shandy and a Peach Mixed drink was delicious.

Would love to see the discount applied year round. Otherwise the value goes WAY DOWN. Probably wouldn't eat there at regular menu prices.

Overall, the food was good but not totally outstanding. My favorite was the beet salad. I would recommend the steak too, but the short rib was tough and over powered by the apple cider vinegar it was marinated in. The sides were solid, typical steakhouse style- buttery corn and roasted Brussel sprouts. Washing this dinner down with $24 Old Fashions was steep (if you want them smoked there's an additional $4 charge) and caused us to imbibe in 1 drink each. The kids meals were good with standard options including chicken tenders, but I'd pass on the surprise sundae. It wasn't very exciting--- the surprise was whipped cream on top. Maybe just call it a sundae. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Consider booking a table by the window to take in the view and ordering the beet salad.

No bisque, more broth-like), salads had too much dressing, & overall most of our party were unhappy with the quality of food. My mom's 60th should have been special but it was a restaurant nightmare. (Also, no recognition of her birthday even though I said it when making the reservation AND reminded our waiter). This place is pricey & ambience is Missouri chic, but don't waste your time.
