10/10 service! The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the food was great! The portions are big so we were able to split/share a bunch

We had our 17th anniversary dinner here recently. We went early so we could enjoy the sunset celebration. A great westward view with bagpipes playing and a cannon firing as the sun dips below the distance horizon. We started with a drink in the bar, then moved to the dining room. The grilled artichoke appetizer was fantastic, I highly recommend it. My wife enjoyed her entree of sea bass and my steak was cooked perfectly. It was an enjoyable un-rushed evening for us. We look forward to returning soon

The shuttle service was super unorganized

This entire restaurant/bar/shuttle situation at Osage,Top of The Rock is so unorganized and chaotic- The "nice dinner/upper scale" part was a total let down. Made reservations months in advance because we're on a road trip and requested table with a view, we got seated behind the only obstruction in the place (big fire place) Ordered their birthday cake for a friend and they couldn't be bothered to clean the table prior to it being brought out. Food wasn't terrible, but the service was so far below what you would expect when paying the amount it costs to eat here. We couldn't even finish appetizers before they were bringing out dinner then to add to the rushed feeling, the waiter tossed boxes on the table for us to bag up our leftovers. It wasn't even close to an elevated experience. Wouldn't recommend if you're celebrating a birthday or something of that nature.

Fantastic views and excellent food and service! We celebrated a belated Mother's Day for my wife and my mom, as well as the birthday of our (now) 8 year old son! We ate brunch on Sunday. The buffet was excellent with a large variety of charcuterie, fresh fruits/granola/yogurt, seafood, breakfast favorites - some with a twist and some other excellent brunch/entree items. They had a crepe station and omlet station too. Pricey - yet quite a wonderful spread to choose from with great service in a clean, comfortable environment with gorgeous views and fantastic native artwork and artifacts to add to the aesthetic.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. We look forward to coming here every year after we pick our kids up from camp. I made a reservation a week prior without issue and we were seated in the Atrium by the windows. Our server, Inee, was lovely and attentive. We ordered the Spinach dip (always a favorite), the lamb (cooked perfectly), the lobster mac and cheese (my son is obsessed), the lobster bisque, the elk soup, and a Caesar salad (you have to keep the anchovies!). The bread service is always so delicious- their butter can't be beat. We also were surprised with a birthday 'sundae' for our son's 11th birthday, plus an extra serving of butter cake for the adults. Watching the sun go down over the lake with a glass of wine and their amazing food comes at a premium, it's quite expensive. However, there is nothing I look forward to more every year and I do think the overall experience is completely worth it.

The ambiance and customer service was absolutely amazing at the Osage Restaurant! We parked in free parking (after we paid a $10 park entry fee), and then rode the shuttle to the Osage restaurant. The food was good, but for the price I expected more. There are plenty of options (prime rib, omelettes, chicken and waffles, etc) but the quality of the food was average. Not sure I'd rather for the price.

I ordered a paloma for my wife and I, priced at $22 each -- this would be $9-$14 back in KC... I get it, resort prices, but still got sticker shock. While it looked beautiful, it was not good. Very underwhelming for what you pay, and sparse on alcohol. We got some spinach artichoke dip which was really good and helped salvage the experience. The view out on the patio is nice; you're on "the top of the rock" overlooking the lake and a golf course. It's quite manicured up there, but it's nice either way. We stuck around for the sunset show with bagpipes and a cannon firing which was interesting. At one point he played "Dixie" on the bagpipes, what the hell?? but otherwise it was kind of interesting. So much of the menu here is similar to all their other restaurants, and I found it confusing to keep up with what is what. My take on Big Cedar restaurants after a few days is that Worman House is amazing, as is Truman for breakfast, everything else is kind of all the same average spot mixed together.
