Omg the service was amazing!! First the valet was "full" but they let us park our car right in front. The concierge here escorted us to our table, even helped us get a table for V day!! The hotel reminded me of many I have stayed at where the rooms surround a large atrium with water/outdoor sound echo throughout. They have a glass elevator, if you can get the picture. We didn't get a view of the lake, which would've been ideal but we had a view of the atrium and the concierge let us go take pics from the private room beside the main dining room, until we froze everyone out (for a few min), sorry! Had to get that selfie. Anyway, the food was great. I had the chateaubriand. C had the prix fixe menu which had the filet and scallops. They brought yummy palate cleansers In between courses, classy. ;) I also had the wedge salad which was excellent. This restaurant is located inside the hotel, FYI.

a plate of food with eggs, bacon, and a salad

Located on the ground floor on the Chateau on the Lake Spa & Resort, their Sunday Brunch Buffet is fantastic. Picture windows overlook the lake and mountains and the dining tables are well detailed. Omlette station, carving table, pastas, fish, salad bar, and many side dishes. A decadent dessert table also awaits you. They have the best dark chocolate bacon I have ever had. Great service with never ending Mimosas & Champagne. Taste ***** Quality/Freshness ***** Presentation/Uniqueness **** Service ***** Atmosphere ***** Bar ***** Cleanliness ***** Value ****

Salmon very fishy and overcooked. Rice tasted boxed. Brussels sprouts were nice

We had visited here prior to Covid. and had a much better dining experience. Billed as fine dining we found the plates service to be more in line with an average banquet catering meal. Everything aside from the tomato bisque was over cooked, under seasoned and way over priced for the quality. The crab cakes are more breading than crab; somehow the shrimp cocktail is flavorless. Thea seafood risotto is over cooked. The actual seafood is way over cooked to the point it is so rubbery it's not edible. The salmon was fishy and overcooked. The cocktail program is non existent. Very disappointing

Olive oil Parmesan dip for focaccia

I was very hesitant to follow through with my reservation based on past reviews but... IM SO GLAD I DID! food, new menu and amazing. Service, impeccable. Sandra was knowledgeable, gracious, friendly, helpful. We had fresh focaccia bread delivered prior to our food order that was warm soft , served with an amazing olive oil with parmesan. I had the Caesar's salad which could have been a meal it was so big, served with a giant crispy fried parmesan crisp. We ordered a filet and scallops surf and turf special....AMAZING. Ordered medium and cooked as such. Tender delicate amazing. We also ordered the chicken and cornbread waffle also amazing. I was pleasantly surprised and proven wrong from prior reviews. The ambiance was quiet but maybe not enough people know how amazing this place is now. Business casual to upscale dress. Also, new menu which I will post, it's working for them! Thank you for a wonderful meal and experience!

The coq au vin

The chateau Grill unfortunately did not live up the expectations that are set upon entering the hotel. The hotel is beautiful and has a certain charm so I naturally thought their grille would be the same. It is beautiful but the food did not live up to the beauty at all. We went for dinner and thought the food would be spectacular since the entrees averaged at about $40 a piece. We were very wrong. We ordered the crab cakes, the pork loin and the coq au vin. The crab cakes: very very fishy in flavor. They came recommended by the waitress but I have never had crab cakes that tasted so fake. The pork loin: the pork was cooked very well and was about the only good thing on the plate. The mashed potatoes were decent but look unappetizing. The broccoli that came with both entrees looked like it was steamed in the microwave and came with no seasoning. The coq au vin: flavorful chicken but served with the same disappointing mashed potatoes and broccoli. The big takeaway: the sides need big improvement and we would not recommend for how expensive it was. We also ordered wine. The white tropical mango was very sweet and very good but a cheap bottle you can buy at the store. The same went for all the wines they had listed on their menu. All cheap wines I recognize from my liquor store runs.

Food and service excellent. Liquor was very pricey. Martini was $22.50 and margarita was $18. Overall very good experience.

Breakfast buffet was ok nothing special but $20 doesn't even include coffee and or juice. It's an up charge which is ridiculous.

Food was not good, especially for the $$$. It was overpriced and mediocre tasting at best. The hotel is decent but needs some updating.

Ask the Community - Chateau Grille

Hi there? Do you have any heated outdoor seating - heat lamps, fire pits, etc?

I didn't notice any when we were there in December.

Just…read morewatch for moldy bread to employees making fun of customers because they are worried about food safety. As someone who is a Certified Food Manager I am appalled by this place. To start the server was smoking and came in and started serving without washing their hands. Then on a friends plate they refused to do substitutions for allergies and instead said the best they could do is not put it on their plate. They still charged for the item that they removed. None of what was previously stated even led to this review. The worst part is that there was MOLD ON THE FOOD!!! Once this was brought up the only thing they said was "we can bring you another piece". They would not consider comping even a portion of that plate. Mind you no one asked for a refund or comp at this point other than for the single item that was moldy. Overall this ended with an employee asking why my friend ate the food if it was moldy. We explained that it wasn't found until after they had ate that portion of the plate and they didn't eat any after seeing it. They proceeded to mock us after. Overall just hope that this place gets things together and a safety inspection asap. I could never imagine going back to a place that cares so little about the customers experience and quality of food.
