This is one of my favorite restaurants in Branson. Perfect little diner worth the wait. Has a farm house feeling or like you are at your favorite aunt's place. Our service was top notch she checked in often and made sure our glass stayed full. The food was amazing this is the best chicken and dumplings I have ever had. The Nashville hot chicken tenders were really good

They came highly recommended but this review is mixed. It's a cozy place with a nice vibe and lots of Americana stuff on the walls. Service was quick and the menu has lots of comfort food listed. We were told the fried chicken was top notch. Drinks came in mason jars, FULL of ice. We both ordered the two piece fried chicken with baked potato, mashed potatoes, cinnamon apples, and green beans as sides. The chicken was GREAT. Moist, tender, and tasty. The apples, mashed potatos, and baked potato were all good. That's the good part. The green beans tasted like they came straight out of a can - no onions, no bacon, nothing. The biscuit was cold and dry (set aside after one bite). Dessert was excellent. Had the blackberry cobbler with ice cream. Strongly recommended. Will probably come back but will make other choices.

We didn't have to wait too long for a seat, they give you a buzzer and have you wait upstairs in the gift shop. The service is fairly good. 2 in our party only got one refill on their coffee, besides that it was good. Our table of 4 had 1st, an omelette with potatoes, grits and a biscuit with a side of gravy added, 2nd order, was ham steak, scrambled eggs, a biscuit with a side of gravy and grits. 3rd, chicken and dumplings. 4th, grilled cheese with bacon. Definitely not good grits. Clumpy and not that great of flavor. 3rd was supposed to come with mashed potatoes but they were cooking and never got done before the meal was finished. Was promised a dessert to compensate but that didn't come. The dumplings tasted amazing though. The biscuit was a bit on the dry side. Soak it in some butter and it's not bad. The grilled cheese was fine. Overall this is a big tourist place, it's not bad but not amazing. We had tried 2 other places for breakfast that we definitely loved.

We spent a week in Branson and decided to have breakfast here one of those mornings. It's difficult to get to the restaurant, but that isn't this restaurants fault. Parking and traffic around Main Street absolutely sucks. It was a nightmare as it was raining that day as well. The restaurant is small, very cozy, very comfortable. There was a bit of a wait as every time I drove by this place there was a line out the door. We were eventually seated and our server was fairly prompt considering the crowd he was dealing with. Our food came out quickly. It was hot, made exactly as we requested and very, very good. I love breakfast and this was one of the better meals I had all week long. I really could not find fault with anything what I had. It's a great way to start the day and be able to walk out side. The restaurant turn right and go shopping. It's a great little couple of blocks of some very neat little stores that the Farmhouse restaurant fits into very well. So skip some of the big chain, restaurants, support local, and go eat at the farmhouse restaurant

Just visiting from Frankfurt, Illinois and my wife and I asked when we picked up tickets or was the best breakfast and this is where they sent us. It was a good breakfast. My wife had a salad with all kinds of nuts and fruit, apples and cranberries, and she said it was great. They're dressing was great. She loved it. I had scrambled eggs with onions and burnt bacon and they gave me a homemade Biscut on the side and everything was good then we tried their blackberry. It's like a pie only the crust is all broken up with it and it was delicious too so this is an easy five star waitresses name was Angel and she was terrific

    Wonderful menu!!!

While we were in Branson in December 2025, we ate here every day and between all 5 of us we tried almost everything on the menu and were never disappointed. The service and the ambiance were excellent. You could tell people loved their jobs. This was our favorite place to eat!! Try it for breakfast, lunch or dinner!! You will get hooked like we did!!

went to dicks 5 & 10 and started looking for a place for dinner. looked down the street and saw farmhouse restaurant. we arrived @7PM on a tuesday, they close @ 8PM. there was a short wait as they were packed and still had people waiting for a table. there is a gift shop upstairs, so we spent about 15-20 up there til table was ready. menu was full of tasty sounding "country" classics. i will take a fried pork tenderloin anytime i can get it - hard to find em in my area of texas. they were out of green beans, so i asked for baked beans & cinnamon apples. friend ordered chicken & dumplings. i couldnt see my tenderloin for the sides & gravy and THE GINORMOUS BISCUIT! (which was mostly why i ordered the plate instead of the sammie) pork tenderloin was hot, fresh & tender. breading was light & tasty. i didnt care for either of my sides - baked beans were very bbq sauce forward & cin apples tasted like pie filling, they were very sweet. BUT nothing "wrong" with either, just not my taste. fortunately, they had accidentally brought me a side of okra - that i liked! chicken & dumplings were thick in a good way & well seasoned. not sure if they are always that thick, or just thickened from being in the pot all day - but they were very good. the biscuits were light, fluffy & a meal in themselves. we saw fruit cobblers going by that looked fantastic - but we were stuffed! service was fast, friendly & attentive even with the restaurant being busy. nicely decorated, fresh & clean.

Are they open until 8 or 9?

    8. And they are serious. We arrived at 7:30 & didn't know they closed at 8... not posted. Practically sweeping under our feet while we were still eating.

Yelp has this restaurant under as a buffet but I do not see anywhere even on menu do they have a buffet?

Not a buffet. SO not a buffet. Go to Pizza Hut for a buffet. Come here to be amazed.

There were 4 of us, we entered bldg to find a waiting line. No big deal, it honestly didn't take long to get seated. We were waited on promptly and our server was good. I wanted to try a waffle, others in the group had pancakes. I ordered hot tea to drink and the hot water came in one of those little metal pitchers. Drinks came quickly and so did the food for as crowded as the place was. The food was good, kids enjoyed their pancakes. My waffle was really good, crunchy outside and chewy inside. When our food was brought our server also refilled drinks. He brought a larger insulated pitcher with more hot water for my tea. I appreciated that, until I used some of the water. One could tell they also used it for coffee, and therefore my hot tea tasted not good, I could pick up the coffee flavor. It was a good breakfast all in all. Portions were good size. Now, I would like to address owners/mgmt. Please do not state, in many places on your menu, that warm MAPLE syrup is served with your menu options. It was warm, but please change the wording to "pancake syrup", for that's what it was, plain old pancake syrup. No maple flavor in it whatsoever, not even yucky imitation maple flavoring. I would come back in the future and would recommend this restaurant to folks. But next time I'll get Biscuits and Gravy

Their complimentary, fresh made bread basket with three types of butters was a fantastic start to the meal. We ordered the mushroom soup, the pork belly sandwich w/ fries, and the shrimp and grits. I will say that the pork belly po' boy was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life! I almost stayed in town longer on the second day just to order it again. The pork belly was smoky, tender, and sweet and paired so well with the grain mustard, pickled onions and arugula -- superb balance of flavors. My husband also noted the shrimp and grits was some of the best he's ever had. The shrimp and pork belly in the dish were perfectly cooked and the Cajun spices were well balanced. And we have to tell you to try their fresh desserts. The brown butter chocolate cake was a special ending to the meal. This is an excellent stop and our student server provided excellent service - they're doing a great job there and is a highly recommended of ours during your stop during your visit to Branson.
